University of Minnesota Linebacker Gets Hit In the Junk (FUNNY)

I'm pretty sure the dude said "Motherf****r hit my penis!!!"  HA HA!!!  I'd probably be yelling the same damn thing if I got hit in the junk like that.

The announcer also made the understatement of the year when he said in a subtle tone that "he got caught in a sensitive area."  No kidding, buddy.

Video is from the September 26th Minnesota vs. Northwestern game.

Justin Kittredge Breaks Chauncey Billups' Blindfolded Free Throw Record (MONEY)

My boy Justin Kittredge is back at it again breaking yet another hoops related Guiness World Record.  Last time around he broke the World Record for “The Most Unassisted Free Throws Made in Two Minutes” after hitting 64 FTs in 120 seconds.

This time he wanted to break Chauncey Billups record of 5 blindfolded free throws in 1 minute and crushed it with a total of 16!  He even hit an incredible 11 free throws in a row.  Nice work bro!

Rasheed Wallace Thinks Replacement Refs Will Suck Just Like the Real Ones (CLASSIC SHEED)

You gotta love Rasheed Wallace. This is exactly why I have been waiting for the Celtics' season to start. I was obviously looking forward to seeing how he would play with the rest of the team but I really couldn't wait for some classic Sheed quotes. We are only three days into the season and he's already in top shape.

Currently, the NBA is in a lock-out with the National Basketball Referees Association and there doesn't seem like there will be an agreement any time soon. The NBA has said they will move forward with replacement referees for the start of the season. As we all know, Rasheed Wallace has had his fair share of "issues" with refs over the years so getting a few choice quotes out of him didn't prove too difficult. Here's what Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe got out of him with what I'm sure was minimal effort:

Rasheed Wallace was quite candid Monday about his issues with officials, he of the 296 career technical fouls and 24 ejections.

On potential replacement officials: "I know there’s going to be a lot of stupid star calls like it is with the old refs, so I don’t there’s going to be too much change."

Do you think the replacement refs will be fair?
"I hope so. Of course I know they are going to come in all happy-go-lucky 'Oh I have Sheed Wallace a tech tonight, ha ha ha.' But I could care less about that. As long as we go out there and win, if I’m on the floor, oh fine. If I’m not on the floor, I think guys are still talented enough on this team with their high IQ to get that W."

Can you actually have discussions with officials or do they tune you out?
"There are a few officials that I can talk to but there are a few officials that if I look at them the wrong way or breath too hard are going to call a tech. It all depends on that official on how they feel all night."

Classic Sheed!  Man, this is going to be a fun season!!!

I saw this picture the other day of Sheed making his way into the gym during the first day of training camp.  What's with the Kansas City Chiefs hat?  Isn't he from North Carolina?  I guess they didn't have a team when he was growing up so maybe that's who he roots for but it just seemed random.

It also looks like Nike hasn't hooked him up with a new colorway of his custom Air Force Ones that he wears every year.  He's still rockin' the Pistons colors!  That's not cool.  I'm sure he'll have a new pair soon enough but I thought that was a bit strange.  WTF is Nike waiting for?  I'll definitely pick up a pair in the Celtics colorwat if Nike makes them available and I'm sure any sneakerhead or Celtics fan in the Boston area woud do the same.  Put them out!!!

This is obviously a Sheed dedicated post so I might as well throw the kitchen sink at you.  I'm looking forward to stuff like this in the videos below.

Rasheed's Trick Shots (DUDE IS MONEY!!!)

Lil Wayne Celebrates 27th B-Day with Diamond Encrusted Cake and $1 Mil Watch (WTF?!)

This is just ridiculous.  Check out this madness for Lil Wayne's 27th Birthday from just a few days ago.  Cash Money CEO Bryan "Baby" Williams got a shitty looking tattoo of Weezy's b-day on his right arm which is already full of crappy looking tats.  It really can't get any worse than that ugly looking sleeve so you might as well throw some more shit on there.  I guess if I was making millions living off of Wayne's success, I'd probably get a shitty tattoo of his birthday too.  They were already making serious cake years ago but Wayne's recent success and record sales has just taken it to the next level.

Speaking of cake, they took the celebration to the next level with a DIAMOND encrusted birthday cake which is one of the more insane ways to waste money that I have ever heard of in my life.  WTF?!?!  Is that even a real cake?  What do you do with the diamonds once you are done with that thing?  Do you take them back to the store or do you make some more obnoxious jewelry with them?  Who f'n knows.

But the real madness was Baby's b-day gift to Wayne which was a new Chopard watch which is reportedly worth $1 million dollars.  WOW.  At this rate, these dudes are going to be bankrupt in about 5 years.  Unbelievable.

2KSports' NBA Real Training Camp at NBA.com (STRICTLY FOR HOOPS ADDICTS)

As most hoops addicts know, the 2009-2010 NBA started yesterday with the first day of Training Camp.  If you are looking for some live footage to whet your appetite while you wait for the first preseason games, then head over to NBA.com to watch the 2KSports' NBA Real Training Camp.  They are showing live training camp footage over the next week for 5 different teams.

The first one started today at 1 PM with the Denver Nuggets and is still running live.  The rest of the schedule goes like this:  Thurs (10/1) with the Lakers, SATURDAY (10/3) WITH THE CELTICS, next Monday (10/5) with the Wizards and next Tues (10/6) with the Hawks.

Best believe I'll be sitting on my couch on Saturday afternoon watching the Celtics footage like a big hoops nerd.  I can't wait to see these guys in action again with Garnett at full strength and with the awesome off-season addition of Rasheed Wallace.  No one is stopping the C's this season!

Jay-Z Samples Napoleon Dynamite Track on "Young Forever" (RANDOM)

This isn't exactly news or anything but I thought it was interesting enough to share with you suckas in case you didn't already figure it out on your own.  When I was listening to Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 for the first time a few weeks ago, I came across this track “Young Forever” which I thought was hot as hell.

Something through me for a loop though and I couldn't get it out of my head until I figured it out.  Recognize the sample?  It’s that track that plays in the background during the Prom scene in Napoleon Dynamite.  WTF?!?!  Talk a bout a random ass sampe.  The name of the original track is "Forever Young" by the 80's pop group Alphaville:

I was cracking up by myself driving in my car once I realized what it was from but I was bobbing my head at the same time because it' such a dope track.  I still can't take it too seriously because of the Napoleon Dynamite connection but it's definitely one of my favorites on The Blueprint 3.

I thought you all would appreciate that for some reason…

Brett Favre's Hail Mary TD Pass to Beat the 49ers (SICK)

I've stated my disgust with Brett Favre's antics numerous times but I gotta give credit where credit is due.  The dude still has something left in the tank and this game winning TD to Greg Lewis to beat the 49ers might be one of the best passes of his career.  The fact that there was only :02 seconds left on the clock and he almost got sacked twice makes it even crazier.

The catch by Greg Lewis should get just as much credit because it was incredible in it's own right. The first highlight I saw of it last night I thought for sure he was out of bounds.  Once they showed the replay, I couldn't believe he caught it and got both feet down being so close to the back of the end zone.  Just an UNBELIEVABLE catch.

I hate to say it but I think the Vikings are going to do some serious damage this season if Favre can stay healthy and keep from making dumb decisions.

Nike Air Alpha Force II Retro Charles Barkley 76ers Edition (OLD SCHOOL)

These Nike retro kicks might not be for everyone but I'm definitely a big fan because they take me back to my early days as a young sneakerhead. I used to cut out pictures from Sports Illustrated to get a look at all the dope sneakers NBA players were wearing during the 80's and 90's and then post them all over my walls like some sort of crazy sneaker collage. Yes, I was out of my mind and it's probably what led to my sneaker addiction but it was cool at the time.

Actually, who am I kidding?  If I didn't have the wifey telling me what I can and can't post on the walls at home, I'd still be doing the same thing today.

Anyway, the Nike Air Alpha Force II's are one of those shoes that I vividly remember since I had a few pictures of Charles Barkley (circa 1988) rockin' them on my wall . They are a little chunky like a boot but it suited Barkley since that was his style.  The velcro strap and the white, red and blue 76ers color scheme is what really makes this shoe work.  It really doesn't look like any other shoe that was created during that time or since. They just capture the late 80's shoe game perfectly, in my opinion.

The Nike Air Alpha Force II Retro Charles Barkley 76ers Edition is available at your local House of Hoops or you can snag a pair now at Osneaker.com for $120.

NBA 2K10 Trailers and Video Clips for XBox 360 and Wii (SICK)

As I've stated before, I am a big NBA Live fan but based on these trailers, I might have to give NBA 2K10 a try this season.  This just looks too dope!  I hate having to choose one or the other because both titles have their strengths and weaknesses.  This could be a tough decision this year.

Maybe I'll get NBA Live 10 on XBox 360 and NBA 2K10 for the Wii.  This looks pretty solid with the Wii Motion Plus.  You are literally taking jumpers yourself.  SICK!

NBA 2K10 drops on October 6th.

Eminem Suing Apple Over Royalties and Some Old Ish (STRANGE)

Eminem's publishing company Eight Mile Style has filed a $16 million dollar copyright infringement lawsuit against Apple.  Em's peeps are claiming that Apple sold unapproved songs in iTunes starting in 2005.  Apple said they had permission from Em's label Aftermath Records (Dr. Dre's label) but Em's peeps say that they did not have the authority to do so.  Strangely enough, 8 Mile Style are also suing Aftermath for $4.3 million in damages even though Eminem is still signed to Aftermath.

It sounds like this madness all started back in 2003/2004 when Apple used the Eminem track "Lose Yourself" in an iPod commercial supposedly without his permission.  It seems strange that they had issues with a version of an ad that didn't even use the actual song since it was just a little kid rappin' acapella!  Eminemin even appeared in an iTunes ad using the same song a few years later (I think it was 2005).  WTF?!?!

Banned iTunes ad with little kid rapping:

iTunes ad with Eminem and the real "Lose Yourself" that ran on TV:

I think the kid did a pretty good job on that commercial too.  Letting that run on TV or on the internet would only help him sell songs, in my opinion.  People love it when little kids do stuff like that.  I guess it's all about the money though.

This is a really strange situation that could lead to Eminem's music being pulled from the iTunes store all together if an agreement is not reached.  Maybe you should get in and by your Eminem albums now if you haven't already done so in the past or you might not be able to find them at some point in the near future.  WEAK.

Windows 7: Your PC, your life Commercial (DECENT)

I can't believe I'm actually posting this Windows 7 commercial since I would consider myself a Mac guy but I thought it was decent and worth putting up since it's got a bit of a Hip Hop/R&B vibe to it.  The music is kind of cool and the overall look and feel of the commercial is simple but effective.  Does anyone know if that is a real song or was it just made for the commercial?

I think Windows software is terrible and I refuse to use it except when forced to at work but maybe they will get something right with the new Windows 7 update.  If the commercials are any sign, maybe they've got something going for them finally.  The ads I've seen are already better than that crap they ran a few years ago starring Seinfeld.  Worst commercial ever!

Jennie Finch Owns ESPN's Jay Crawford on First Take (PLUS BONUS PICS)

Jennie Finch, the hottest softball chick on the planet, completely PWNED ESPN's First Take host Jay Crawford in this clip from earlier this week.  Crawford had a better swing than I expected and he even got a few foul tips and a grounder off but Jenny was throwing some serious HEAT!  That would have been tough for some pros to make contact with that speed at such a short distance.  It's definitely a different experience.

As always, this is a great excuse to post half nekked pictures of one of the hottest chicks in sports.  Enjoy!:

Baby Dancing To Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' (HYSTERICAL)

This might be the best video I've seen in a long time.  This kid has some freakin' moves!  I love the head snap and bouncing to the beat but the the leg kick and shake was by far the best move.  So good!

Little kids and babies LOVE dancing to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' video for some reason.  It's unreal.  There has to be some kind of hypnotizing, subliminal mind control thing going on because there are literally hundreds of videos like this one on YouTube.  It never seems to get old.

Random Ish - Rihanna's Awful Singing, Jay Sean Beatboxing, Ochocinco and More...

News anchor says "Keep F***ing That Chicken!" on live TV. (WOW!)

Jay Sean (singer of the recent hit "Down" featuring Lil Wayne) beatboxes Kanye's "Jesus Walks" with a little help from a Boss RC-50 Loop Station.

Rough live performance by Rihanna when she was 15.  She either had a lot of practice and vocal coaching or they use a lot of software to fix that.  You could tell she had some skills even back then.  She just hadn't put it all together yet.

Maineiac: The Official Rap Video of Maine (BETTER THAN EXPECTED)

If you've ever been to Maine or know anyone from there, you'll probably think this video is funny as shit.  If you're actually from Maine, you still might think it's funny but you probably won't know why.  Those Maine folks are definitely a different breed up there.  At least they're good at hunting and catching some big ass lobsters...

This video was way better than I expected it to be in terms of quality, content, production and lyrics.  Basically I expected it to be a piece of garbage.   I really thought I was going to see a one toothed, crooked eyed, slackjawed yokel rhyming off beat and spittin' off about some crap that no one cares about.  I was definitely pleasantly surprised with the actual result.

MAINE REPRESENT!

World's Longest Basketball Shot From Dude Perfect (NICE)

Unofficially, I think it's safe to say that this is the "World's Longest Basketball Shot".  I also think it's completely legit because these Dude Perfect guys are always doing crazy hoops videos like this an it never seems like they are editing the clips.  Just take a look here and here.

It probably took them a couple hundred shots to make the money shot but it's still pretty f'n cool.  I assume these dudes are still in college at Texas A&M because they are dropping a new video every couple of weeks.  There is no way they have jobs and still have time to pull this shit off.

They were ready for all of the haters too because they had a second camera angle from the field.

Affion Crockett - "Hunt Chris Brown" ("RUN THIS TOWN" SPOOF)

Affion Crockett spoofs 'Run This Town' by Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna and flips it to "Hunt Chris Brown".  Hysterical!  The video production was even on point with this one too.  He must have spent some time with this one.  Definitely one of his best to date.

Affion even re-produced the song from scratch which is pretty impressive because it sounds a lot like the original.  This dude has some serious skills with comedy, music and producing.  I just wish more people knew about him.  He needs to get on SNL or something like that ASAP!

This one below isn't as good but it's a little more timely since it's supposed to be Kanye's apology track to Taylor Swift.  It's a spoof of Jay-Z and Kanye's track 'Hate' from the Blueprint 3 album.  He flips the "Haters" line into "Taylor".  Gotta love it.

Awesome 80's Dating Videos (DOUCHE CHILLS)

WOW!  Talk about a case of the Douche Chills!  Dudes were really pathetic back in the 80's, huh?  What a bunch of tools.  The funny thing is, I don't think the losers have really changed much over the years except for the hairstyles and awful clothing (although I'm sure some of that hasn't changed one bit for some of these clowns).

These days, they just go faceless and stalk the shit out of chicks on the internet and pretend they are rich and good looking when they really live in their Mom's basement and look at porn all day.  At least back in the day, they had to man up a little bit and get behind the camera and chicks actually had the chance to view their true awkwardness.  Check out some of these classics.

Best Quotes:
"I'm a 25 year subscriber to both Playboy and the New Yorker Magazine."
"I'm an executive by day and a wild man by night."
"I'm looking for the Goddess."
"No Fatties."

Here's another version of the same video with a few bonus toolbags to up the ante.  There is a lot of duplication but honestly, these are even better the second time around. We'll just call this one the Extended Remix.  Classic!

Kia Shine is Making 25% of the Revenue from Drake's "Best I Ever Had" (DAMN!)

In this Shade 45 interview (Sirius Satellite Radio), Kia Shine talks about how he is making money off of Drake's "Best I Ever Had" because of a beat and hook he put together for Lil Wayne awhile back.  It turns out that whoever made Drake's beat sampled Kia Shine's original track, as well as using the melody and a similar hook which allows him to collect money through music publishing laws.

Here's the Kia Shine track that was originally used by Lil Wayne on a track called "Do It For The Boy":

Now listen to Drake's "Best I Ever Had" and make the comparison.  The similarities are crazy:

Kia Shine worked out a deal where he is getting 25% of the "Best I Ever Had" revenues which is obviously a  HUGE single right now and only continuing to grow.  DAMN!!!  That is some serious cake right there for just one track.

That just goes to show that if you get your music publishing straight, you can make some serious cash in the Hip Hop game even if people aren't buying records like they used to just a few years ago.  If you are a producer/beat maker, get your ish together on the business side and it might pay off one day.

R.I.P. DJ Roc Raida (ONE OF THE BEST DJ's EVER)

Damn.  Pour out a little liquor for one of the best DJ's that ever did it, Grand Master Roc Raida.  I didn't even know Roc Raida passed away this weekend until I saw this article on MTV.com just a few hours ago.  The craziest part about it all is that he died from complications due to a mixed martial arts accident. That's just something super random that I wasn't expecting to hear.

This is tough news for me personally.  Roc Raida is one of my favorite DJ's of all time. I tried to imitate and learn from his style in order to improve my own DJ skills.  I would always be glued to the screen when he had a segment in a DJ video because he was so on point.  The dude would just crush it with every set he ever did and would always mezmerize the crowd with his quick tricks and moves.  He also wasn't afraid to use popular songs in his routines which alot of other DJ's seemed to shy away from because it can be more complicated.  He was just an awesome DJ on so many levels.

Although he's not a huge name to those outside of the DJ community, you might know him as part of the X-Ecutioners crew who had a hit with Linkin Park called "It's Going Down" back in 2002.

More recently, he traveled with Busta Rhymes as his live DJ.  He is probably one of the most technically sound DJ's you'll ever see but he is also one of the most creative. His DJ battles and sets are legendary and he has been one of the biggest influences in the DJ game over the past 10+ years. His style will be sorely missed but luckily he was around long enough to give us some great material to remember him by.

Check out just a few of his classic routines below and do a YouTube search to find more. The library is almost endless and will keep you entertained for hours.

New Balance 574 Clips Collection (LIMITED EDITION KICKS)

I've always been a fan of New Balance running shoes because they were super comfortable, lasted forever and were usually somewhat affordable but the problem was most of their styles were kind of boring or just plain ugly.  They've stepped it up quite a bit in the casual game over the past few years and the New Balance 574 Clips Collection takes it to the next level.  These kicks are super limited and have a unique story behind each shoe which should make them highly sought after by sneakerheads from around the world.

Here's the breakdown courtesy of NiceKicks.com:

"New Balance presents the 574 Clips Collection. The collection earns its name from the materials employed to construct the 574’s. Typically, New Balances utilizes cow suede for the 574. This time around they have used leftover clippings of grey pig suede and colored mesh originally used for their 993 and 996 models, thus the “clips” name. In addition to its message of conservation and re-use, the Clips collection stresses its domestic manufacturing via its “USA” inscribed heel and tongue tabs.

The Clips 574 will retail at $75.00 and be released to a tune of 120 pairs per color thus summing 480 total pairs. New Balance has concocted an interactive marketing campaign to accompany the release of the collection. A website will feature 480 shorts, each a brief visual documentary of the life of each shoe pre-consumer. Upon purchasing a Clips 574, you may search for your pair and claim it by entering a unique code and your name. Also, inside each shoebox will be a Polaroid image unique to that pair’s creation. The shoe’s individual number, color, and size will be on the back of the Polaroid.

The following retailers will be the sole vendors of the 574 Clips Collection: Reed Space, Shoe Gallery, Bodega, Commonwealth, Premium Goods, St. Alfreds, Burn Rubber, Sole Boutique, Goods, and Undefeated.

Brandon Stokely's Miraculous Week 1 Touchdown: Tecmo Bowl Style (FREAKIN' SWEET)

This video might be a little bit late since "the catch" happened in Week 1 but who cares.  This video is still freakin' AWESOME!  Plus, you have to imagine it would take some time to change all the names around in Tecmo Bowl and then create the actual play so I'll give the dude the benefit of the doubt.  I think I have only seen the deflection play maybe 3-4 times in my entire Tecmo Bowl career which spans thousands of games so I think this probably took some serious brain dead hours to get this all to work out perfectly.

Here is the real version of "the catch" (below).  How much does Gus Johnson rock, by the way?  You couldn't ask for anything better from the Football Gods.  Dude might have popped a blood vessel in his brain during this ridiculous ending.  You gotta love it.

Jimmy Fallon Presents at Emmy's Using Auto Tune (FUNNY)

This clip of Jimmy Fallon from last night's Emmy's is freakin' classic.  That literally sounded no better or worse than the Auto Tune crap on the radio.  It was cheap humor but it just worked for some reason.

I used to think Jimmy Fallon was the least funny person on the planet but he's been changing my mind lately, especially because of how good his late night show has been.  I have never done such a 180 on a comedian in my life except for the time where I thought Dane Cook was actually funny for half a second...

Blake Lively and Anna Torv Looked Smokin' at the Emmy Awards (HOT)

I didn't watch the terribly boring Emmy Awards last night but I did hear people at work talking this morning about how smoking hot Blake Lively looked so I had to get a closer look.  DAMN!  I always thought she was pretty hot but when the hell did this happen?  This chick has officially hit her stride and might be one of the hottest chicks in Holly wood right now.

While skimming through pics of Blake Lively, I also came across some pics of the chick from Fringe, Anna Torv and she looked ridiculously hot too.  Something about her does it for me but I'm not sure everyone would feel the same way.  I don't really care.  Most probably don't even know who she is because they have never seen Fringe but maybe this dress will get her on everyone's "Hotness Radar".
