GLC ft. Bun B & Sir Mix-A-Lot - "Clockin' Lotsa Dollarz" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

DOPE!!!   This is the official music video for GLC's "Clockin' Lotsa Dollarz" featuring Bun B and Sir Mix-A-Lot.  You might recognize GLC from his numerous guest appearances and most notably on Kanye West tracks.  He is signed to Yeezy's G.O.O.D. Music label and will be releasing his upcoming album, Love, Life& Loyalty on October 12th.

I've been hearing a lot more from GLC lately and I have to say, I'm definitely a fan.  I always thought he had some crazy potential based on his guest appearance joints but after getting some recognition, he just seemed to disappear.  I guess he's just been spending lots of time putting together some quality music.  Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Here is a quick recap of some of his work that you will probably recognize.

Caspa and Mr. Hudson - "Love Never Dies (Back For The First Time)" (DOPENESS)

I know this is on some other shit and not all of you out there will be feeling this style but I had to post it up because I am officially obsessed with "Love Never Dies (Back For The First Time)" by Caspa and Mr. Hudson.

You might recognize Mr. Hudson from his recent guest appearances on huge tracks like Jay-Z's "Young Forever" and Kanye West's "Paranoid".  He's also signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label so expect hear more from him soon.

Caspa is a dubstep producer from West London.  The two combined to create an epic track that could actually have some crossover appeal and could gain some steam in the US.  Shit is hot!

Game ft. Jay Electronica & Swizz Beatz - "Higher" (NEW ISH)

This is some hot shit right here!  The Game has been in the zone lately with all of the new material he's been dropping.  His latest mixtape "Brake Lights" is NASTY and his next official release The R.E.D. Album is shaping up to be a monster.

A lot of people thought he was going to fall off after he left G-Unit years ago but it turns out he is the only one that is actually thriving out of that whole crew.  Dude is a beast and just keeps getting better with age.  Respect.

Download the Brake Lights mixtape at DatPiff.com.  Shit is nice.

Thursday Throwbacks: Geto Boys - "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta", "Still" & Scarface's "No Tears" (OFFICE SPACE)

I almost forgot my Thursday Throwback post!  WTF is wrong with me lately?  I've been a little busy at the office this week (no seriously) so it kind of made me think of the movie Office Space.  What's the connection you say?  Well, the Geto Boys are all over that biznatch.  Follow along...

"Damn It Feels Good To Be a Gangsta" plays at the end of the movie and is also part of the Office Space Soundtrack.  Random but awesome.  Actually, the whole soundtrack is made up of some dope old school Rap tracks and all three of these songs are on there.

Michael Bolton raps along to Scarface's "No Tears" in the intro where proceeds to roll up his window when a black guy walks by, which is one of the more underrated clips of the movie:

Then we have the classic printer smashing scene which uses the Geto Boys "Still".  Perfect song selection.  I couldn't find the full version so this mashup with the Family Guy parody will have to do:

Shaq Owns Jimmy Kimmel During Opening Monologue (AMUSING)

I guess this was from last night's "Shaq vs." episode.  I keep forgetting to watch that.  I'm definitely more interested in this show now that he's with the Celtics.  It makes me feel a little better about the acquisition when I see him running around and playing random sports.  It helps me remember how good of an athlete he really is and gives me hope that he could provide a lot more this season than people are expecting.

Anyway, he completely owns Jimmy Kimmel in this clip.  It's not necessarily the funniest routine ever but I like how he basically just roasted Kimmel instead of trying to do a lame monologue.  If you are going to do it, you might as well go down swinging.  He definitely landed on the Sarah Silverman joke.

Everyone gives Shaq crap for mumbling and being monotone but I could understand him just fine.  Maybe I am just used to his tone now.  Considering I own everyone of his rap albums, I've had plenty of practice.  I could seriously see him hosting a show like this one day.  He seemed pretty comfortable in front of the camera and crowd.  Don't forget, Magic Johnson had his own late night talk show and he is even more incoherent than Shaw.  At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Here's his most recent interview from Jimmy Kimmel Live. I assume he taped them both on the same day:

"Dad Life" Rap Video (FUNNY)

Is this really what I have to look forward to now that I'm going to be a Dad?  Yikes.  Please shoot me if you ever seem me rockin' high socks with Teva's.  I'll most likely be cutting the lawn in some old Air Max 90's or something. Those riding lawnmowers are pretty badass though.  I'm kind of looking forward to owning one of those.

By the way, the "rapping" of these dudes was actually really solid.  A girl at work forwarded this to me and I thought it was going to be lame because girls pretty much have the worst sense of humor but it was actually pretty decent.  Shit was funny and depressing all at the same time...

Cee-Lo Green - "F**k You" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I hit you off with the bootleg video of Cee-Lo's "Fuck You" last week and now we have the official video.  It definitely suits the song's old school Motown like feel perfectly with the 60's vibe they've got going on.  Good shit.  And I say "Fuck Yooooooouuuuuuuu!!!!!'
