My boy Anonimus put me on to this character Reggie Watts earlier today.  He's a little crazy looking and kind of out there but he has some serious skills! I posted a video of another dude using a loop pedal to create a full song which was cool but I feel like Reggie Watts takes it to the next level.

I guess this guy is a comedian and also does the music thing on the side and a little bit in his act. His video for "Fuck Shit Stack" is pretty funny. Check it:

"How Low" Remix by The Beatbox Hitman (NASTY)

This kid is NICE! There are plenty of great beatboxers on YouTube but I really like this dude's style.  He has the actual song playing in the background which allows him to create a live remix.  Very cool. 

The video above is The Beatbox Hitman's sick rendition of Lucaris' "How Low".  He absolutely kills it!  To top it off, he does a random impersonation of the old guy Mr. Herbert from Family Guy at the end for shits and giggles.  Love it!

This Girl Can Beatbox Better Than You (SURPRISING)

DAMN!  This girl is way better than I expected.  She's just chillin' in the back seat of a car beatboxin' like it ain't no thang but she's got some serious skills.  I like her ability to recreate popular songs that you can actually recognize and she even adds in some vocals. Be on the lookout for her rendition of Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right".  That was dope!

"One Man Band" Beatboxer Kills It (UNREAL)

WOW!  This performance is freakin' INTENSE!  I don't think you can call this guy just a beatboxer because he is creating a full song right in front of you like he was a one man band.  Seeing him create each instrument/noise/sound effect and then looping it and adding it to the mix was unreal.  I've seen a few other people do this before but for some reason this one really caught my attention.  He also does a great job of singing and rappin' and even switching up the flows and voices to make it sound like different people.  That's some cool ass shit.

I don't even know this dude's name because it wasn't listed in the information section but if you know who this is, please leave a comment.  I'd like to find some more videos of this guy and find out more about him.

Beatboxin' From the UK's Nathan "Flutebox" Lee and Beardyman (DOPE)

I've been coming across some sick Beatbox routines lately and this one is no exception.  This was a performance by Nathan "Flutebox" Lee and Beardyman at the Google offices in London.  I've never heard of either of these guys before watching this video but it's probably because they are more well known in the UK.  They are definitely on my radar now. 

Nathan "Flutebox" Lee was nasty!  Combining a flute and beatboxing sounds a little fruity at first but it actually turned out dope.  It's one of the coolest and most original beatbox routines I've ever seen.  Lee and Beardyman also did a great collaboration towards the end of the video that blew my mind.  If you close your eyes, you would almost think they had a full backing band.  UNREAL!

This is just another reason why working for Google is pretty cool (other than being able to make a ton of money and getting lots of free perks).  My company doesn't even provide free coffee.  WTF!!!

This dude Daichi is one of the best Beatboxers I've seen in a long time.  The speed and clarity to his beats are ridiculous and his execution is almost always on point.

The one unique thing that he brings to the table is the sick fake scratch.  A lot of beatboxers do a half assed job of scratchin' or don't do it at all.  This kid absolutely RIPS IT halfway through this video with a very authentic sounding scratch that I thought was incredible.  I don't know what he does with his hand to make that sound but it works ridiculously well.  Some of the sound effects he created were pretty damn cool too.

BeatBoxing At It's Finest...

I don't have much to say here other than these are some dope ass beatboxers. I had a bunch of these videos in my favorites folder in YouTube, so I figured I would unload them on you. I knew about Rahzel and Scratch from the Roots but I came across these other guys through linked videos. The last two are foreign dudes but they definitely let the beats do the translating for them. Check it:

This is Rahzel, formerly of the Roots. My favorite part is when he does the Aaliyah track "If Your Girl Only Knew" and he does the vocals and beat at the same time (At the 5:27 minute mark). Pretty unbelievable:


Scratch lives up to his name with a dope virtual turntable set. Check all the old white folk in the crowd going WTF? I think this was somewhere in Europe so they definitely had no clue what was going on. Dope nonetheless:

This is one of the kids I found randomly. His name is El Poolpo from Spain (I believe) and he is one of my favorites because he does his own versions of popular songs. He does MJ's "Billie Jean", Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot", some Disco, House and even Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction" (second video). That ish was fire!
