I think any Hip Hop fan aware of this Rob Ford guy has probably been humming "Rob Ford" to Jay-Z's "Tom Ford" track like I have for the past few weeks now. The connection was too obvious. DJ Steve Porter used that vibe for his new remix/mash-up video and it came out pretty damn awesome. I also found these while I was searching for it on YouTube and they were also pretty solid. If Chris Farley was still alive you know he'd be having a field day with this. He wouldn't even need to write any material!
We probably shoudl have seen this one coming a long time ago when Everlast started going more towards the rock and guitar style on the Whitey Ford album but I guess he never decided to do it until now. It's not mind blowing but it's definitely a cool take on the House of Pain classic that brought him to fame in the first place. This is from his new album "The Life Acoustic". It might be worth a listen. I prefer his rap days but I also appreciate some of his newer stuff so I'll give it a shot...
I don't really know where the hell Kanye came up with this idea for his new "Bound 2" video but I think it's f'n awesome. It's almost like he is messing with people and trying to get a reaction out of talking heads because it has so many strange pieces to it. Whatever the reason was, it seemed to work because he got people talking about it and sharing it all across the country.
Here's the breakdown:
1) He's riding on a motorcycle but it's not really moving because he has a fake background of the Grand Canyon or somehting in the background moving instead like some old school western with a green screen. It almost looks like he made it on his MacBook Pro using some bssic video editing feature. Awesome.
2) Kim is naked or at least topless and it looks like they are banging while the bike bounces up and down the road. You can't really see her fully nude but the shadowed effect is enough for me. I'm a big fan of Kim wearing little to no clothing. Even awesomer.
3) He debuted this on Ellen which really makes no sense considering it's on during the day and is watched mostly by bored housewives and unemployed folks. I'm not sure the audience had any clue what they were in for when they got their tickets for the show that day but I'm pretty sure most of them were shocked and a good majority was probably offended in some way because that's how boring housewives respond to shit like this. Pissing off middle America and day time TV is always a smart move if you want people talking about your shit. Infinite awesomeness.
Anyway, whether he did this to mess with people or did it on some crazy artistic shit, I don't really care. Just hearing broads at work yap about this in disgust or sheer amazement was enough for me. If you can put out a music video that actually gets talked about and shared these days, you have accomplished something because most are either pure crap or are just doing crazy shit for the shock value. Kanye was probably trying to be a little shocking but he also looks like he was just having fun with his hot ass girl riding naked on a bike and is getting people to buy his music at the same time. That's a win in my book any day.
I meant to post this up yesterday but got distracted. It's good enough that I still had to post it. It's definitely one of the better dunks of the fresh NBA season. I've seen a few nasty dunks from Henry already so he is someone to watch for this year for some serious highlights. The Lakers suck so he should continue to get plenty of playing time all year for these types of plays.
Here's another bonus dunk from a few weeks back. Dude has seriously quick hops!
This was one of the scariest dunks I've ever seen. I don't know that anyone has ever died from dunking before but this is probably the closest you will ever see. William "Bull" Bullard is known to throw down some massive dunks where he pulls his whole body up to the rim and hang with his feet on the rim or backboard but this didn't work out quite so well.
This looks like one of those older hoops that aren't built to withstand this much force and it just snapped and came straight down on his head. He's lucky it didn't hit him in the neck or throat because he could have gotten paralyzed or possibly died. He looked to be OK at the end when he came back out to watch the game but he definitely got a nice gash in his forehead. It's nice to see he wasn't seriously injured.
The Globetrotters might want to rethink their dunk strategy because it looks like they've been breaking backboards all over the world. Maybe they should only do these massive dunks in the US where there are more up to date hoops that have been Shaq proofed.
All of the rims got updated after Shaq started destroying them all back in the 90's.
This is a couple days late obviously but I had to throw it up since I still can't believe this happened. No one even expected the Celtics to be competitive against the Heat, yet alone win this game. They probably should have lost by about 20 had the Heat actually tried a little harder and not played to the level of their opponent (a classic old school C's move) but it happens once in awhile when playing a crappy team. The C's also played great all game and kept themselves in it so this was just the icing on the cake.
Had Wade just hit one free throw or even hit the rim on the second one, the game is over. The Heat really screwed this one up multiple times. I'll take the win though. There aren't going to be many positive moments like this for the Celtics this season so I will take whatever I can get. That's three wins in a row, including another solid win against Orlando on Friday. Who saw that coming!?!?
I almost forgot about Green's sick dunks too. Dude is finally starting to turn it around. That's what we need!
This might be one of the best in-game dunks I've ever seen. I feel like I say that a lot but I keep finding bigger and better dunks that beat the last one. I can't imagine there will be many better than this. Javonte's head is well above the rim. Actually, I think his chest is even above the rim. Ridiculous!
He might have caught just a little boost from the defender and/or teammate below him but I honestly don't think it helped much. Dude was already flying high when any contact was made. I wish there were more camera angles and better quality video because I want to see this from every possible direction but at least there is video evidence either way. So nasty!
I have to admit that it's been tough watching Pierce and Garnett play for another team this season but I wish them nothing but the best and hope they can both get one more ring before they retire in a few years. We all knew the rebuilding had to happen sooner than later in Boston but it's never easy to let go of your favorite players, especially those that helped bring another championship to town.
It's nice to see Pierce embracing his new home in Brooklyn. I'll be rooting for them all season as my "second team" after the Celtics. It should be fun to see them playing with more talent around them again with a good chance at getting another ring before all is said and done...
When I first heard that Duckdown Records signed New Zealand Rapper David Dallas a few months ago, I was a little confused because it was so far outside of their normal type of artist, or at least that is what I thought at the time. Now that I've heard a few tracks from Dallas and have seen the video above for his single "Runnin'", I have to admit, I understand the signing a lot more now. The kid has skills and the fact that already had a #1 single internationally made him a no brainer to add to the label and try and bring his success to America and other parts of the world.
This song may sound familiar to you since it has been featured on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, the FIFA 14 Soundtrack, Madden 25 trailer, Major League Baseball’s postseason coverage, and NFL Thursday Night Kick-Off. I fully expect this track to catch on even more in the next few weeks and months as people hear it more. It's just a dope song all around. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from Dallas and checking out his new album Falling Into Place. David Dallas is definitely one to watch in the Hip Hop world.
Wow! NBA 2K14 for the next-gen consoles looks ridiculous!!! I always thought it would be difficult to improve on the graphics and gameplay of the current sports titles but NBA 2K14 for the XBox One & Playstation 4 looks like it is going to prove me wrong.
It literally looks like you are watching a live game and the simulated moves and gestures of the players are dead on. I wanted to hold out on getting a new console to let them work out the problems that new consoles always seem to have but I don't know if I can wait with games looking like this.
I didn't know Ben McLemore had hops like this. These dunks are very impressive for his size. He's listed at 6'5" but I feel like he's closer to 6'3" at the most. Either way, he can throw down with authority and it's possible we might be seeing him in the dunk contest this year. Impressive.
This might be the worst mascot dunk attempt I've ever seen. I know it's still only the preseason and everyone is working out the kinks but this is just bad. I'm pretty sure I could do better with that without even practicing once. I hope dude gets his act together before the season starts or he is going start getting heckled like the original Lucky at the Garden. That dude was the WORST!!!
Whoever came up with this concept at the ad agency must have been high as fuck or a complete lunatic but I respect the randomness and willingness to try anything. Hot Pockets are obviously huge in the stoner crowd so this must be their Magnum Opus of Snack related entertainment.
Kate Upton in anything is solid since she is my favorite smoke of the moment and you can't go wrong with having her bouncing around and smiling at the camera. Snoop might have fallen off lately but I'm still a huge fan so that's cool and it's topped off by a remix of "Just a Friend" by Biz Markie and an appearance by Larry King so this thing is pretty epic.
But where the hell did Bow Wow come from?!?!? I didn't know little dude was still even alive, yet alone making "music". I guess you gotta make money somehow now that Entourage has been off the air for a few years. What the hell happened to the little hobit? Shit got real.
Props to this dude for trying to play it off all cool but there is no way you can recover from a sleepy foot when you are carrying a huge camera that probably weighs a good 20+ pounds. I wonder how long it took for the pins and needles to go into effect and if he was still filming. There is nothing worse than when that feeling when you can't even move a muscle or else it will feel like you got shot in the leg or foot and you are going to be screaming in pain. Dude might want to reconsider his sitting position for the rest of the season...
Every rapper and their mother has already jumped on the instrumental to Drake's "Pound Cake" track off his new album but these two freestyles from Rakewon and The Lox are not only the best I've heard but I think they are even better than the original.
In case you live under a rock and haven't heard the original, here it is:
This dude is on fire! I posted Adam Lefkoe's WrestleCast a few weeks ago which was amazing but he took it to the next level with his Rap references in this one. Adam was dropping some solid old school Hip Hop references which makes me think this wasn't forced and he is a true Hip Hop head. Respect!
If you missed the WrestlCast, CLICK HERE for the original post...
Believe it or not, we are only about a month and a half away from the start of the basketball season. I found this dunk from Guy Dupuy at the Venice Beach League World Games (whatever the hell that is) and thought it was about time to post a new dunk video since it's been awhile. This dude is one of the best and also one of my favorite dunkers around and anything he does is pretty damn impressive. Check out this mix below if you haven't heard of him. Dude is the real deal.
I saw this new Hooters commercial this past weekend when I was watching DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket App for the first time. Other than the advantage of seeing every out of market game, I also got to see some awfully bad regional commercials. This Hooters commercial featuring Jon Gruden and a super hot Hooters chick isn't the worst I've ever seen but it is a little awkward.
The concept was pretty awesome but Gruden is such a creep and awful actor so it just makes the whole thing uncomfortable. Either way, I think it's one of the best commercials I've seen in a long time. Unintentional comedy, football references with sexual innuendo, images of beer and wings and last but not least, a super hot chick with bombs. AWESOME.
This is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. Perfect mashup using the Sanford & Sons theme song and Red's dancing is next level. It doesn't get much better than this.
You might have seen this already since ESPN started playing it over the past few days but I just saw it last night for the first time and had to post it. This is so simple and obvious, I'm surprised ESPN or someone else didn't use the idea before. Kudos for using the real Transformers sound effect too.
And just for the hell of it, here is a clip of Megatron vs. Optimus Prime from the original 1986 Transformers movie and a Megatron Dubstep Track. Dope!
I thought this was going to be annoying or suck but it was
actually pretty impressive.This dude’s
old school wrestling references are top notch. He's still kind of a nerd but at least he used his nerdiness for good.Well played.
Wait for the woman news anchor's response at the end of the clip. She is just baffled by his dorkiness but I think she actually got a little hot and bothered by it at the same time. Kind of funny.
This promo for the adidas Mutombo shoe is awesome on so many levels. The crude animation is great but the narration by Mutombo with his awesome accent and deep ass voice takes it to the next level. I actually think this is perfect, although I'd love to see the long form version like a movie that goes through all of Dikembe's life highlights, including a party where he yells out "Who wants to sex Mutombo?!?!". Nice work, adidas.
Here's an awesome highlight video of Dikembe's classic blocks and finger wags which also includes an awesome narration by the man himself. I can't get enough of his voice and accent.
Jason Williams aka White Chocolate aka J-Will was ballin' outrageous in Taiwan back in June (no idea why this is just coming out now) and threw one of the best and most difficult alley oop passes I've ever seen with this nasty bounce oop. His creativity is unreal and his execution was even better. The dunk from former Southern Indiana forward and streetball legend Anthony Pimble was pretty impressive too. So sick!
You may have seen this amazing catch on SportsCenter yesterday but it's worth posting again. This was a game-ending catch which makes it even more awesome. I don't like the fact that this counts as an out because he did go over the wall but I think due to sheer effort and athleticism that I'll cut him a break. I'm sure that dude will be in some serious pain over the next week while he's recovering. He's lucky he didn't break a rib. It seemed like it was worth it though for all of this recognition. Who would ever think a wiffle ball catch would make it to ESPN!?!?!

Throwing down a regular dunk in street clothes is hard enough but putting down a powerful windmill in a full combat uniform and boots is next level hops. An unnamed US Air Force soldier Nathaniel Mills pulled off this feat during yesterday's Team USA's inter-squad scrimmage. Carmelo Anthony understood how nice this was and gave the dude some well deserved props.
This must have been the moment DJ Khaled officially fell in love with Nicki Minaj. She is "Twerkin' It" something nice in this video and even gets all up on Khaled. You can actually see the real reaction on his face when he just loses it. Classic! Nicki looked good but some of the other dancers are putting her to shame with those booties which is hard to do. Awesome.
I don't know if this is serious or not but I was laughing my ass off during this whole video. This is unintentional comedy gold right here. I was just waiting for DJ Khaled to say "We The Best...Together" or "All I Do Is Win...When I'm Around You". Then when he said "We got the same symptoms", I almost lost it. Do you both have the same venereal disease or something? HA HA. You big dummy!
It just felt like a set up though. The cheesy R&B soundtrack and MTV production made it even less believable but that much more awesome at the same time. Either Khaled is a cheesy mofo or he has an awesome sense of humor and is trying to embarrass the shit out of Nicki Minaj and doesn't mind making himself look stupid in the process.
I wonder if that ring is real, though. If it is 10 Carats, Nicki might at least give it a second of consideration...
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the NBA Dunk Contest needs to start letting in some of these street ballers and professional dunkers to give it new life or they might just need to eliminate it entirely. There aren't enough well known players willing to compete and the players that do aren't even the best dunkers in the league.
How about do an amateur competition for players from across the country like they do with the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest on All-Star Weekend but let the top 2 or 3 players then make it to the big show on Saturday night to compete against a few NBA players? Who wouldn't want to watch that? The NBA players might be scared because they would almost definitely lose but it would sure as hell be interesting.
Just look at this dude Purdy in the video. He's wearing a hoody
while throwing down insane dunks. How about a 360 between the legs?!?!
He made it look too easy. That is just sick. This kid would destroy most opponents.
Is there anything better than hearing a baby losing it while having a laughing fit?! I don't think there is and it gets even better when you mix in the Dikembe Mutombo Geico Commercial which is also a personal favorite of mine. I'm pretty sure I had a similar reaction the first time I saw it too!
I don't even know what to say about this "collabo" but it was interesting enough that I had to post it. Snoop has "rapped" with Larry King before but this one was probably the most thought out. I love how Snoop was blazin' in the studio and puffing weed smoke in Larry's direction. Classic!
I think he is high as hell in Part 2!
If you watch the NFL, you know that J.J. Watts is a complete beast and a freak of an athlete. He comes in at 6'6" and about 285 pounds of pure dieselness. He also has some insane hops in pads since he is one of the best tip passers in the game.
Some idiots out there are calling this a 59.5" vertical jump which is not accurate. A vertical jump and a box jump are two completely different things but this is still impressive nonetheless. I would love to see this dude on the hoops court to see if he has any dunking skills. I'd be afraid he'd rip the rim off the basket though. BEAST MODE!
I'm not going to lie. This is a pretty awesome team dunk set up right here. It may have taken them 45 times to complete this masterpiece but it was well worth it. I respect the creativity and the ability to work everyone into the play while keep the ball moving with speed in order to fit it all in the 6 second Vine limit. Well done, fellas.
This dunk is just plain NASTY! I can't believe the defender even tried to block it. I guess he was assuming the smaller white dude didn't have hops and couldn't throw down like that but he got a nice little surprise right in his grill. Not only did the defender get called for the foul, but he also ended up on his ass and looked like a chump. This is definitely one of the better in-game dunks I've seen so far this summer. Very nice!
You might have already seen this ad during the NBA Finals but I thought it was worth a post since it's a solid video with a preview of some of the crazy beats he might include. The video highlights some of the best known Hip Hop producers including Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Rick Rubin and Swizz Beatz. Timbaland seemed like he was heavy on the boards during this video and he was bringing the heat with some crazy futuristic shit. Definitely sounds solid.
There aren't many cooler or more creative ways to announce a new album than this. He will also be releasing an app for the album that allows you to listen days in advance on June 24th. You can check out more at www.magnacartaholygrail.com
I can't wait for this to drop on July 4th. I already have my holiday soundtrack set as soon as I download the album. Sick!
I was recently asked to review the new Flips Audio Headphones which I was really excited about because I loved the concept and I was hoping the product lived up to the hype. I'll get into my performance review in a moment but first, here is a quick breakdown of how they work.
The concept is simple. They look and act like premium over the ear headphones but they have a special feature that you won't find on any other headphone. Once you flip the earphones out and away from your ears, they become powerful speakers that can be worn over your neck to quickly share a song with friends or be placed anywhere to act like a pair of portable speakers. It's an incredible idea that works even better than expected. I'm surprised it hasn't been done before because it's seems so obvious once you do it for the first time. Headphones should have always been built like this!
The Flips come in two colors currently: Black with Electric Green or White with Red and Black. Although I think I would have preferred the black if I was buying them myself, I was given a pair of the White, Red and Black joints and I ended up liking them more than expected. They might get dirtier quicker but I have enough black headphones so it was nice to get a different color to add to the collection.
They look very similar in style to the Beats by Dre headphones and are also similar in quality. The plastic seems fairly sturdy and durable and the earphone padding is thick and comfortable. Although there was some pressure after prolonged use, they were comfortable to wear for a long time.
The sound quality was solid, although I felt like the volume was limited a little too much in it's regular use as over the ear headphones. They can obviously get much louder as proven by the powered speaker function but I think they went a little too safe with the limiter. Even at full levels, I felt like I wanted a little more because I could still hear some background noise. I don't usually listen to headphones at high levels but it's always nice to know you can turn them up louder if/when needed. I really wish I could have cranked them up a little more when I was on a plane last week. That is always a good test of volume and I felt like it was just missing a little extra punch. It's one of my only small complaints. They still sounded solid though.
The overall audio quality is good. I would probably give them a 7.5 out of 10. The bass wasn't too overwhelming so if you like a balanced sound, these would be a good match for you. I prefer a little more bass, so I think that is why I lowered my ranking a little bit but I felt like the quality was still decent when compared to many other headphones I have tested in this price range or even higher. Flips sell for $120 so they are a good value as a regular set of headphones and they are a steal once you consider the powered speaker function.
Speaking of that, let's get into the best feature of the Flips, the speakers. I first tested the speaker function when I got to the hotel for a wedding after a long plane ride and using them as regular headphones. I think I was expecting underwhelming sound because of what I experienced with the volume as regular headphones but I was pleasantly surprised when I "flipped" them around. They CRANK as a portable speaker and sounded better than many of the smaller portable speaker systems you find at Best Buy or the Apple Store for about the same price or more.
I actually had to turn them down because it was just too loud, at least for the room I was in. I was trying to find the distortion level but there really wasn't one. They were clear and filled the room well. You have to make sure you charge the powered speakers with the included USB chord but they seem to last a long time in between charges. I used them for a few hours and haven't had to recharge yet.
There really isn't any reason to bring a pair of headphones and a separate set of portable speakers on the road anymore. These will get the job done and then some. Flips would be perfect for the road warrior traveling for work, going to the beach with your friends or really anywhere that you might want to share your music with other people. The options are endless. I can see myself using these as my primary headphones AND speakers for a long time to come.

Wow. I can't get over how realistic NBA 2K14 already looks and it's just in the alpha stage. 2K Sports is not messing around with the graphics for the PlayStation 4. I can't imagine games being able to get much realer than this.
They might have some work to do on the mouth matching up with the speech and LeBron looks like he has the mouth of a lion but I'm pretty sure they will get it close to perfect by the time this comes out next year. I will still probably hold off on the new PS4 for at least a year or so but seeing how awesome some these games already look, I might have to rethink that.
Here's another nasty pre-game dunk from LeBron. This one was from Game 7 last night. Dude is ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason why he shouldn't enter the NBA Dunk Contest. So frustrating...
Also, here is that nasty alley oop from Norris Cole during the game. Dude was looking down at the rim and almost hit his forehead until he pulled it back. That shit ain't fair! So nice.
I was starting to come around on LeBron after a few years of hating him after the decision but I'm starting to sour on him a little bit after watching this compilation. When you are built like an NFL tight end and are stronger than almost anyone else in the league, there is no need to flop like this on a regular basis. Some of these are so bad and blatant. He acts like he gets shot when he maybe was grazed and sometimes not even touched. Just play the game, Bron! You are better than that.
Simple but effective. This video just makes me like Daft Punk's new single "Get Lucky" even more than I did originally. How awesome was Soul Train back in the day, by the way? Awesome clothes, sick dancing and just a shitload of fun, all while being on a TV show. That's what's up!

If you're a gamer, you've probably already heard about Microsoft's announcement of their new console, the XBox One set to release this year. I probably won't buy one for a few years since I am still happy with my XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 but these videos from EA Sports and their new Ignite Sports Engine are certainly getting me interested.
I think it's safe to say that we are officially playing with real people on these games if the game play looks anywhere close to this. You almost can't tell the difference between real and game video since it looks so realistic. If someone walked into the room and didn't know you were playing a game, they would think you were just watching a live event. Crazy shit!
I've always been a big fan of The Dream's unique style of R&B but it's been a few years since I heard something solid from him. I'm really liking this new track "High Art" featuring Jay-Z. It's still uptempo but it's a little slower than the dance beats you hear in R&B these days which is a nice change. I could see this doing well on the radio but even if it doesn't, I'll be bumping it this summer....
You probably know by now that I am a big fan of Native Instrument's Traktor and the new Trakor DJ app. I posted my thoughts and review here and here. We knew it was just a matter of time, but NI has already released a new iPhone version and it's almost as good as the iPad version.
I downloaded it earlier today and played with it for a bit and everything was almost exactly the same so I was able to use it right away without any learning curve.
The smaller screen size can be a challenge but they did a great job of utilizing the space they had without losing any of the functionality. You have the ability to zoom in to each deck separately which makes it feel a little more reasonable.
It will probably be best for cueing tracks, practicing mixes and just getting a general feel for a tracklist but I could still see myself making a mix on it since it has the record function and everything else you would need. I just love that I have the option to use both the iPad and iPhone version when I don't have time or space to set up the normal computer and deck set up. This is going to be fun...
I'm giving serious points here for creativity and execution. The pass should actually get more points than the dunk but when you put them both together, this is one of the better dunk contest slams I've seen in a long time.
Pat the Roc was the dude who threw it down and this took place at the “CRL Good Life Foundation Celebrity Game”, whatever that is.
I haven't been posting new music lately because frankly, I haven't heard much that caught my attention because most of it has been pure garbage. However, I've been a big fan of B.o.B.'s "We Still in this Bitch" for awhile now and I just stumbled across the video so I thought I'd throw it up. This beat goes hard in the ride. Bass is dope!!!

I don't know why but I kind of like this whole "Music Videos Without Music" concept that CollegeHumore is doing. It makes you realize how f'n ridiculous most music videos are when you strip them of the music distraction. They just make absolutely no sense but we don't even realize it because you are mesmerized by the beats. Funny shit.
Great intro. This says it all right there. This will not deter the people of Boston. It will only make us stronger. Well said, Stephen Colbert. Well said.

This is a classic SNL skit. Funny, timely and the perfect guest host in Melissa McCarthy. They even got her to wear the ridiculous women's basketball coach hairdo and the awful power suit. Well played, SNL. My favorite part was the toaster toss and the golf cart driving through practice. After seeing the Mike Rice videos, this doesn't even seem that ridiculous!
I posted a nasty dunk by Doug Anderson earlier in the season which was NASTY so I had a feeling we would be seeing him again in the NCAA D1 Dunk Contest. He proved me right and also won the whole thing with ease by putting down powerful and clean dunks with ease. Dude's head is above the rim on every dunk and his quickness and efficiency is what really make them stand out. That last dunk where he went reverse 360 between the legs was on some video game shit! I didn't know anyone could do that. So sick.
Here are his top in-game dunks from this past season. Dude is legit.
I'm still just scratching the surface with my Traktor DJ app by Native Instruments and I think I got it down pretty good but it looks like DJ Shiftee has spent a lot more time with it and has this shit mastered. I didn't even know you could do half of the shit he is doing in this video and even if I did know a few of the tricks, I had no idea you could make it so dope. This just goes to show that anyone with real skills can take the simplest tools and make them look complex, in a really good way of course. Dude is sick!
OK. Bob Costas is officially on my "Cooler than Expected" list after this little clip from MLB TV. Not only did he use the term "name-check" correctly but he was also on point with the lyrics and he genuinely seemed pumped that he made it into a rap lyric. Respect!
Now I roll up torpedoes,
get blunted with Rastas,
For a hefty fee,
I'm on your record like Bob Costas...
This didn't seem that impressive when I first saw it until I saw the third replay and realized Jeremy Evans was still behind the 3 point line when the pass was thrown. That takes some concentration and serious hops to pull off. Dude can definitely throw down with the best of them. It's too bad Evans still hasn't gotten much PT this year because he could be doing this every night like Blake Griffin and Andre Jordan...
I'm pretty sure this is real since the video was released today and not on April 1st but I'm still not totally sure. If it is, I want/need this thing ASAP! I'm not so sure a hovercraft would be legal on most courses since you can't exactly bring your own golf cart but it would be pretty awesome if some high end courses started offering these for a premium green's fee. I would definitely pay the extra to be able to ride in one of these gems. I'm sure you could go a little nuts after a couple of beers but it looks awesome in theory...
Someone needs to check Blake Griffin's shoes for trampoline inserts because this is just getting ridiculous! This is definitely one of the best alley oops of his career and that's saying something. It's as perfect as you get for distance, height, finesse and power. Just a thing of beauty. He also looks like he stopped midair and then started floating towards the backboard somehow even though that is virtually impossible. So sick!!!
This was a sick play on both ends. Nasty pass by Lawson and an even better catch and dunk by Kenneth Faried. Dude is ridiculous with those hops! Not even fair.
This seems so wrong but at the same time, pretty enjoyable. You have to assume that if this game was ever made in North Korea, it would probably be played just like this. No one else touches the ball but Kim, 3 Pointers are worth 8 points and Kim is the MVP with 248 Points.
Sounds about right based on some of the propaganda videos from the 2010 World Cup. They told their country that they won the whole thing! Classic.
This dunk is just DISGUSTING! I feel sorry for Brandon Knight because his career may be best known for being on the wrong end of this dunk instead of being known for his actual play. Dude might just need to retire after this because he is not going to stop hearing about this for weeks, if not months and years. It was that nasty! I don't even know why he tried to jump and stop this dunk because he was set up for failure from the start. Just get out of the way and don't embarrass yourself.
This has to be one of, if not the best dunk of the year so far. As the announcers said in the clip, this is right up there if not better than any dunk we've seen from Blake Griffin which is really saying something. Impressive does not do it justice. Cot Damn!!!
I finally had some free time to sit down and put together a "new" mix. I've been sitting on these tracks for months so it's a lot of older and more popular stuff but sometimes there's nothing wrong with that. This was created using the new Traktor DJ app on my iPad and I thought it came out pretty damn good.
I can do almost all of the same things I can do with the Traktor Pro program on my MacBook Pro sans a few features like samples, scratching, and higher end looping features but for the most part, it gets the job done. Here's a quick look at the Traktor DJ app if you are interested. It's only $20 in the iTunes store and it was well worth it. I would say this is by far the best DJ app available, considering I have tried almost all of them.
I think this will be a great way for me to put together mixes on the fly which will allow me to be more creative and just put out a higher quantity of material. I'm sad to say that I hadn't made a mix since April 2012 so it was nice to get back at it. I'm re-energized and motivated now so I expect to start putting one out at least once a month, if not more. That is all based on whether or not my 2 year old and 4 month old keep sleeping through the night and allow me to keep having some Daddy free time!
Here's the tracklist and don't forget to subscribe and/ore refresh the Dj RyB podcast in iTunes!

Some people might complain that the NBA is starting to look like an AND1 Streetball game but I kind of like it. These dudes know people pay to come see them play and they want to entertain the fans and give them their money's worth. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
Jamal Crawford killed it with the unexpected between the legs alley oop and Blake did a great job of timing it and still throwing down a NASTY windmill dunk on the oop. That shit was tight!!!
I meant to post this video up last week when it was starting to make the rounds but I don't know that it was noticed as much as I expected so it's still not too late to have a look. Norwegian futbol player Havard Rugland put together this pretty cool trick video of him doing crazy punts and kicks with a football all over the place and it has helped him land a tryout with the New York Jets. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
This video has convinced me to train my little dudes to be kickers and punters in hopes of getting a college scholarship and possibly the NFL. There's definitely less competition for those positions so who knows. Lots of pressure but also a solid salary and you kick into your 40's. Sounds good to me!
This little B-Girl, Terra, absolutely crushed it in her performance of the Baby Battle Final. Unfortunately, she was up against a slightly older and more talented opponent. Give her a couple years though and she will be running circles around the competition. So of those moves are incredible for an adult B-Boy/Girl, yet alone a 6 year old! Very impressive.
Is it weird that I actually like LeBron again after hating him for a couple of years after "The Decision" and the first few seasons in Miami? After winning a championship, he seems way more relaxed and is being himself and having fun again while dominating the shit out of everyone. He's not even human anymore.
I've seen him do these pre-game warm up dunks in the past and I think he even did some when they came to Boston but it seems like he's stepped it up a bit this year. It's almost like he is doing this on purpose to piss off fans that would love to see him in the Dunk Contest. You have to appreciate how much he gets it though and wants to always put on a show for the fans. That's something MJ used to do back in the day. He'd play his ass off even if it was against the worst team because he knew people in the stands paid to see him play and he didn't want to disappoint them.
This is an awesome story. Eddie is a 15 year old sea otter that lives at the Oregon Zoo. He had severe elbow arthritis and found that dunking on this hoop helped with his rehabilitation and his mood. Awesome!
Although I'm a Celtics fan, I love that he was reppin' his local team with the Portland Trailblazers hoop. Solid! I want to shoot hoops with this little guy. It would be fun as hell throwing down with him in the pool. HA HA.
I never thought I'd hear Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent on the same track but this actually works better than expected. I am actually really interested in this new 50 Cent album. Every song I've heard so far has been at least decent, if not good. I think it might have some real potential.
After that guy died in the X Games trying to flip a snowmobile, you would think the daredevils would tone it down for a bit to reevaluate some things but I guess that didn't happen. French dude Guerlain Chicherit performed this backflip in Tignes recently and actually landed it without incident. That was pretty ballsy and I have to imagine he would have been a mangled mess had he missed. Impressive but also CRAZY!!!
This new track from Usher is a little different than most of the uptempo dance stuff he's been releasing over the past few years so it might be kind of jarring at first but once you give it a chance, it's pretty solid. It's fairly simple but it's different and I think I like it. I'm glad to see Usher didn't get too comfortable doing the same thing over and over again. It's good to switch it up once in awhile....

That was just NASTY!!! Derozan is a sick dunker but this might be one of his best in game dunks of his career. DISGUSTING!
It also seems like Timofey Mozgov was born to be posterized. He got facialed by Blake Griffin back in 2010 with one of the most famous dunks of BG"s career so far.
I thought this Blake Griffin dunk was solid but nothing that crazy until I saw the slow-mo replay and realized what he did. He changed hands in mid air and was still able to throw it down after some contact for the And 1. Solid. Jordan's dunk was nice too but just nothing compared to BG's.
Kobe still has some serious hops after all these years, huh? This is probably one of the best dunks of the year considering he went at two big and solid defenders in Gerald Wallace and Kris Humphries and still made it through. I'm not sure how that wasn't a foul though. Kobe got hit like 5 times at least.
This little dude has some serious shooting skills. Even though he's got a soccer throw in jumper like Bob Cousy, he still drains everything in sight. Very impressive. I think my almost 2 year old son has a little work to do to catch up to him but he's not too far away. He can certainly throw down some monsterous dunks already which is not something I saw displayed by Titus. We might need to set up a one on one match...
If you haven't noticed, Kobe has become a bit of a passer over the past two weeks. He was sick of losing so he decided to take over games by becoming a distributor and it seems to be working a little bit. It really couldn't get much worse since the Lakers have SUCKED all season which makes me really happy as a Celtics fan. This is a pretty nice pass considering it was all the way from half court and there was only .4 seconds left in the quarter. Solid.
Here's another solid joint from 50 Cent. I think this is the first time in about 5 years that I'm actually anticipating a new Fiddy album. He got kind of lazy or just too big for his own good over the past few but I think he is hungry again and is finally putting out some quality product. We know he's got the money and connections for production and features so it would be tough to fuck it up this time around but you never know...
Awesome! The super slow-mo really helps you appreciate the ferocity of this dunk. This kid has some potential. I feel bad for the little man who got posterized though. He may never recover!
I was a big fan of the original Dude Perfect basketball trick shot videos from back in 2009 but I got a little annoyed and sick of that style when everyone else started imitating them. It was fun while it lasted though. The Dude Perfect guys thought it had been enough of a break and it was time to bring it back but this time with a twist. They got Texas Tech QB Johnny Manziel aka "Johnny Football" to make some sick trick throws and a solid overall video. Not bad.
This is exactly why I don't mess with those extreme sports. I want the potential for my death the be as low as possible when watching a sporting event live. This shit is crazy! That one woman in the red is either slow as shit or just didn't realize what was going on because she almost got drilled. They are lucky no one died or got seriously injured. Crazy!
The best comment I've seen so far on YouTube was "Looks like Manti T'eo's girlfriend is driving it now." HA HA.
This wasn't the best sports related SNL spoof I've ever seen but I'll give them credit for the timeliness. Ray Lewis is basically a caricature of himself at this point anyway so it's hard to exaggerate his personality when the real thing is almost as crazy as this!
I don't know why anyone would ever do this but I am glad they did. It's ridiculous but pretty damn funny. You can never go wrong with anything related to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Javale McGee is tall but he also has some sick hops for a big dude. I didn't realize that he also has some good hands and concentration considering the degree of difficult for this first one. I'm not sure why he didn't catch it with two hands but either way, it was pretty nasty.
This one was decent too. Terrible pass but he made it work. It must be nice to be able to throw the ball anywhere even close to the backboard and know your Center will go up and get it and throw it down. Sick.
Dope track and it's nice hearing the Outkast duo back together again. I've been hearing about a new album more and more lately from them so I fully expect this to happen now that it's not just a rumor and they have confirmed that they are already working on some material together. Can't wait! It's been too long.
This is one of the more incredible displays of athletic ability I've ever seen in an NBA game probably because of it's uniqueness. I'm not sure we've ever seen anything like this or ever will again. Plenty of defenders have leaped over an offensive player after falling for a head or ball fake but I don't think anyone has ever recovered quickly enough to actually block the shot on the second attempt. That was insane!
