Blake Griffin is Back! Beast Mode vs. Lakers (RIDICULOUS)

We're going to be getting about a thousand of these alley oop highlights this season from Paul to Griffin so get used to seeing them every other day on the site.  I just can't get enough.

But how about Blake Griffin's new post game?  Wow!  Dude did not rest in the off season, huh?  He was already nasty but just imagine how much easier he will get to the hoop with moves like these.  He is going to be impossible to stop if he can do this consistently and if he gets a consistent jumper?  Look out.

The Dark Knight Rises - Official Teaser Trailer #2 (SICK)

You've probably already seen this trailer for the Dark Night Rises since it's been everywhere this week but it's too f'n good not to post up.  This looks like it might even be better than the last, if that's possible.  Check for the Hines Ward appearance during the madness on the football field too.  Crazy!

SHAQ's Parking Problem at TNT (FUNNY COMMERCIAL)

Although this is kind of a parody, I feel like this isn't too far from reality with Shaq.  He probably drives one of his beast SUV's or trucks to the set every night.  Just check out some of these monster rides.  So crazy!

Clippers vs. Lakers Preseason Highlights: Sick Dunks from Jordan and Griffin (LOB ANGELES)

WOW!  Now that's how you start the season off right, DeAndre Jordan.  Good lord!  That was complete beast mode right there over two 7 footers.  Not many players in the L can pull that off.

Blake Griffin also had a nice dunk off the backboard from Chauncey Billups although he got hit with a tech for hanging on the rim which is a terrible call.  Had he let go of the rim, he probably would have fallen on his back or head but it's also just the preseason and the players are trying to win back the fans with some entertaining dunks.  Let the dude hang for half a second.  So weak.  Refs suck.

Anyway, I'm seriously considering getting NBA League Pass this season just to watch the Clippers because these dudes are going to be insane.  Just look at the highlights from last night's game in the video above.  They'll be putting up at least 4-5 ridiculous highlight dunks a game because of Chris Paul sending lobs to DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin all game long.   Just call them the LOB Angeles CLippers from now on.

On top of that, it's going to be fun seeing Paul torch all of the PG's in the league with crossovers and floaters.  Kid looks nice after the knee problems from last season.  I'm still upset the Celtics couldn't get him in a deal for Rondo but at least he didn't go to the Lakers and he's on a team that will be fun to watch.  Opening Night cannot come soon enough.

NBA Pre-Season Highlights - Rondo, LeBron and Wall (THEY'RE BACK!)

Now this is what I've been missing in my life for the past 3 months.  It feels like all is right with the world again.  This was only game 1 of the NBA preseason but it already looks like we are right back where we should be with the highlights and dunks.

I obviously had to show the Rondo behind the back pass to Bass first because it was the Celtics but here are a few other gems from the weekend.

John Wall had a sick crossover that lead to an even nastier dunk on the 76ers' Craig Brackins.

LeBron had a simpler but still entertaining dunk off of a backboard pass from Chalmers.

Runaway Golf Cart at Cowboys Stadium During Texas High School Championship (CRAZY)

At first I wanted to laugh at this but once I watched it a few times, I realized how fast that cart was going and how hard it hit those people.  Not cool.  Luckily no one was seriously injured so I guess we can look back on it now and laugh a little bit but the whole situation is just surreal.

The only thing I found slightly amusing was the guy who ended up in the passenger seat but ended up bailing out of the cart even though he probably could have stopped it.  I know he was in complete shock and wasn't thinking straight but all he had to do was pull a leg in and hit the brake or even just use his hands since he could probably reach it.  He tried spinning the steering wheel for half a second and then just freaked out and rolled out.  Crazy!

Tim Tebow SNL Sketch (FUNNY)

This SNL skit went exactly how you would expect but it was still pretty funny.  I'm just surprised it took them so long to make it.  I love that this aired on Saturday and then the Broncos got stomped on Sunday by the Pats kind of like Jesus predicted.  HA HA.

Wale - "Chain Music" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Hot shit right here.  I like "Chain Music" more every time I hear it.  I don't know why but I love the Rick Ross ad-libs during the chorus.  The video is nothing special but it's good enough I guess.

Simba And Friends Get High! (FUNNY)

This probably isn't that funny once you break it down but it got me for some reason. It's kind of on some dumb funny shit.  If you're in the right frame of mind, you'll probably enjoy it.

Braun BATTLE OF THE YEAR 2011 1on1 Official Recap | YAK FILMS (DOPENESS)

Just watch this vid.  You won't be disappointed.  This shit is ridiculous!  This is probably some of the best B-Boy footage I've ever seen in my life.  It literally takes the whole dance style and injects it with human growth hormone or something.  I didn't even know it was humanly possible to pull off some of these moves.  The strength and skills these guys have is through the roof.  Respect.

Thursday Throwbacks: Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Doggy Dogg "Dre Day"

I thought it would make sense throwing this one up for the Thursday Throwback since today is the 19th anniversary of The Chronic album.  DAMN!  I can't believe it's been that F'n long.  I am getting old and so is Hip Hop.  It just goes to show if you make dope music, it will hold up over time, no matter the genre.  Rap has never been known for that but Dre certainly proves it's possible.

On a side note, I always loved this video, especially the party scene.  I always thought it was funny that the dude with the FUSION hat would show up in the beginning and then duck down behind the crowd and show up again at the end of the dance floor.  That's called maximizing your air time.  Respect.

YARUS and LOONY BOY | Electro Dance | Moscow, Russia | YAK FILMS

I'm not a fan of some of these tag team dance moves in the beginning of the video but overall this was a sick routine.  Their style is unique and certainly different from what you see on a regular basis.  It's kind of cool to see how dance styles can morph and change in different regions of the world even though it is within the same genre of music.  Cool shit.

Dj Suss-One Ft Floyd Mayweather Jadakiss Lloyd Banks French Montana & Junior Reid - "Champion" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

The audio quality on this video is kind of shitty but the song itself is nice.  I wouldn't have minded if they made a version with just Jadakiss, Tony Yayo and Junior Reid but I guess I can deal with the rest of them for now.

Shit Girls Say - Episode 1 (HILARIOUS)

This is some funny shit and so true.  The only thing they missed was chicks being completely clueless about their surroundings as they walk around in public.  I don't know how many times I've been walking behind some girl/women in a store or the mall in some pretty heavy foot traffic (think right about now during Christmas shopping) and they just stop on a dime do a 180 and walk right into me or someone else around them.  Seriously?  Are you that oblivious to the world that you don't even think for half a second that there might be someone behind you?  ARGGGHHH!  So annoying.

Major Lazer ft. Bitta Blood - "Original Don (Remix)" (MORE FIYAH!)

Oh shit!  This is hot.  I thought this was going to be more of the same old Dancehall sound but once it gets going and that electro sound kicks in, you realize this is on some other shit.  Very dope.

And in case you didn't know, the two guys behind Major Lazer are the well known DJs/Producers Diplo and Switch.  Normally I wouldn't point out that they are two white dudes but the fact that they have been successful in the Dancehall scene makes it worth mentioning since that is still a very rare occurrence.  It's certainly interesting, if nothing else.

Logic - "Live On The Air" Official Video (DOPE CONCEPT)

I've never heard of this dude Logic but his new video for 'Live On The Air' has been getting some buzz and it finally made it's way to me and I have to say, I am beyond impressed.  This dude has a crazy flow, dope lyricism and a cool style that makes me think this dude is gonna make it big sooner than later.  On top of all that, he actually recorded this track live on the air (get it?) and he then followed it up with a re-enactment at the same studio to complete the video.  Sick concept.

This track is actually from his Young Sinatra Mixtape which I assume is just as hot based on the reviews I've read.  Check it out when you get the chance.  I think we'll be hearing a lot more from this dude in the near future.

Comcast Bus Commercial - "This Is Where I Pay!" (WEIRDEST ISH EVER)

This is probably the most F'd up commercial I've ever seen in my life.  Words can't do it justice because it essentially doesn't make any sense and almost seems offensive and I don't even know why.  It's disturbing on so many levels and I now feel uncomfortable.  I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul...

Gronk Goes Beast Mode On the Redskins (RIDICULOUS)

You can't stop Gronkowski.  You can only hope to contain him.  This dude is just a monster.  It literally takes 4 or 5 people to tackle this guy on a regular play and he keeps getting stronger each week.  Just look at this play from yesterday's game against the Redskins.  It's like he's a college kid playing against a Pop Warner team.  That shit ain't even fair!

Ludacris ft. Waka Flocka - "Rich & Flexin'" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Damn!  I wasn't expecting this but it sounds like Luda still hasn't lost his fastball.  Dude is still throwing in the 90's with consistency.  I still think he's one of the most underrated rappers of our time.  That's hard to say since he's sold millions and millions of records but it seems like he never gets the respect he deserves.  He can be complex lyrically or just use crazy metaphors that make you think and he always makes me crack up at least once per song which I appreciate.  No one does that anymore.  I could have done without Waka Flocka but I barely noticed him since the beat was banging.  Dope track.

Not everyone is down with JT but I've always liked his music and since "Cry Me a River" was sampled for this track I thought it was worth posting.  I don't care what you say.  This shit is still hot.

Thursday Throwbacks: Wu Tang Clan "C.R.E.A.M."

One of the best tracks of all time.  No other words are necessary.

Celebrate Larry Bird's 55th B-Day w/ This Bad Ass Video

I don't usually do lame birthday shout outs for people I don't know but it's the "Basketball Jesus" Larry Bird's 55th so I had to give him some props since he provided years of sports enjoyment for me as a youth.  Enjoy this very nice highlight video to reminisce on the career of one of the greatest and most unique players of all time.

New Foot Locker "Tough Choices" Commercials (FUNNY)

Some people might get fired up by these new Foot Locker commercials since they take somewhat serious topics and flip them for commercial purposes but those people are losers so whatever.  I thought they were kind of clever and funny and that's all that really matters.

When your parent's talk to you about tough choices, talk to them about Foot Locker. Tell them what you want for Christmas that will make the tough conversations so much easier.

Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa & The Roots Perform ‘Young, Wild & Free’ Live on Jimmy Fallon (NICE)

I think it's safe to say that The Roots make every song they perform better than the original.  I was already a fan of 'Young, Wild & Free' but this live version takes it to the next level. They can literally play any and everything.  So sick.

Also, I had no idea until just now that the movie Mac + Devin Go To High School is actually a Snoop and Wiz project from beginning to end.  I thought they were just doing a song on the soundtrack but it turns out they are doing the entire soundtrack themselves and also starring in the movie.  I had no idea.

Washington Huskies' Terrence Ross Throws Down a 360 Alley Oop vs. Marquette (NASTY)

SICK!!!  I've never heard of Washington's Terrence Ross but I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more dunks like these from him throughout the rest of the college basketball season because this kid has serious hops.

I did some quick research on YouTube and although there isn't a ton of video of him yet, there are still a few nasty highlights that show his nasty hops.

Here's a nice put-back dunk vs. Stanford:

Also, check out this insane windmill he pulled off in a game a few years ago while still in high school:

Here are a few more

Jordan: This is Flight (NEW D. WADE COMMERCIAL)

Nice!  Jordan Brand is finally back to making some dope commercials.  I'm definitely feeling this one.  Cool concept and awesome execution.  The YouTube description says it best:

The game's most memorable plays often coincide with brilliant acts of flight. In that moment of calm before takeoff, Dwyane Wade shows us what it feels like to be airborne in the Jordan Fly Wade 2.

B.o.B ft. Lil Wayne - "Strange Clouds" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I posted an audio version of "Strange Clouds" when it first came out back in September but we finally got an official video from B.o.B. and Lil Wayne.  This song keeps growing on me and it's definitely one of my favorites in rotation right now.  That squelchy bass is monsterous.  I wish I still had a sub in my ride so I could bump this shit at extreme levels like back in the day...

"I Am A Celtic" Commercials - "Causeway" & "House" Versions

Well done, Celtics.  Simple but effective.  That's how you get Celtics fans fired up for the season after pissing us off with the lockout.  That doesn't make everything all better but it's certainly a start.  I loved the last few lines that simply stated "I am not Hollywood.  I am not South Beach.  I am Causeway Street.  I am Home.  I am a Celtic."

Vikings' Kyle Rudolph's Sick Catch vs Broncos

Sick catch, bro.  That's what you call concentration and some serious hand strength.  It's too bad it didn't help them get the win though.  Tebow and the Broncos came back to win AGAIN.  This is officially out of control.  You cannot stop Tebow.  You can only hope to contain him.

Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa ft. Bruno Mars - "Young, Wild and Free" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

This song is definitely growing on me.  I like the simple laid back shit and the hook is kind of addicting.  The video is simple enough but I got a little creeped out when I saw Snoop riding on a bike down the halls of a high school.  Dude is WAY too old to be trying to pull that off, even if it's a goof. Still funny though.

Avicii - "Levels" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

"Levels" is one of my favorite dance tunes of 2011 and it's finally making that crossover appeal into commercials, movies, TV etc. that will help it blow up even more over the next few months.  This video might also help the cause since it's simple, funny and should have some viral appeal.  It kind of reminds me of the video for Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" featuring Christopher Walken.

Custom Air Jordan 6 “True Blue” by El Cappy (DOPE 3X)

Here's a pic of some ridiculously hot custom Air Jordan 6's made to mimic the Air Jordan 3 "True Blue" colorway. SO SICK!!! I would love to see Jordan Brand make these an actual retro because I would cop them in a second and I know a lot of other Jordan heads would do the same. They should considering hiring some of these customizers as actual designers because they make better colorways than half the shit they've been putting out lately! If you want to see more pics, head over to KicksOnFire.com.

Mac Lethal - "Look At Me Now" Freestyle; The Pancake Version (IMPRESSIVE)

My expectations were kind of low for this one since the "Look At Me Now" remixes have been murdered over the past year but I was pleasantly surprised by this performance by some dude named Mac Lethal.  I've never heard of him before but I have to say that I will be paying attention to him moving forward because he has some nice skills and a ridiculously fast and clear flow.  On top of that, he actually pulled off an impressive display of live action rapping by making pancakes and rapping about it at the same time.  Funny shit.

Marshall's Aaron Dobson Pulls Off An Insane One-Handed Catch (BEST CATCH EVER?)

This might be the best catch I've ever seen on any level of football.  Period.  It's one thing to catch a ball one-handed but it's another thing to pull it off while having your back to the ball with a defender in your face and catching it with your hand twisted thumb down.  It's almost impossible what he did but he made it look easy.  DISGUSTING!!!

Justin Bieber & Busta Rhymes Perform "Drummer Boy" in Rockefeller Center (WTF JUST HAPPENED?)

I'm so f'n confused right now.  I want to hate on this but I actually don't mind it for some reason.  I hate Christmas music but I guess I could actually listen to this song if I had my choice between this and the usual classics that make my ears bleed.  I guess that's good?

Bieber might need to switch to rap permanently because his new voice kind of sucks and he's actually pretty good at rapping which is the craziest part.  I posted his "freestyle" from Power 106 from a few weeks ago and was definitely impressed.

The most confusing part about this song though is the appearance of Busta Rhymes.  I'll give him credit for trying to branch out a little bit since he's getting older and needs to tap into a new audience if he wants to stay relevant but I'm not sure Bieber was exactly the right fit.  It just seems like something he would have never done in the past but I guess if you get paid enough, anything is possible.  I just find it hard to believe that if someone went back in time to tell old Busta that he would eventually do a Christmas song with a little white boy pop sensation named Justin Bieber that you could actually survive the event because he would beat your ass on the spot.  It's funny how shit changes for the right amount of money.

Here's the original studio version:

Black Star - "Fix Up" Colbert Report Performance (DOPE)

Wow.  I missed everything on this one.  I had no idea Black Star (aka Mos Def and Talib Kweli) were getting back together and I also had no idea that they had already released a new song and performed it on The Colbert Report on Comedy Central.  That's a super random appearance for them since like 1% of the audience actually listens to their music but they did a great job and probably gained some new fans.   I didn't even know they had musical guests on that show.  Weird.

I think it's safe to say the live performance is better than the studio version because of the energy they brought to the stage but the recorded version is still hot.  I can't wait for this album.  It's been too long since we had some real Hip Hop like this.  So dope!

Big K.R.I.T. ft. 8-Ball and MJG - "Money On The Floor" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I think this has to be my favorite song out right now.  It's got that old school southern sound which is taken to the next level with the appearance of 8-Ball and MJG.  This shit bangs!  The video is NICE too.

I haven't heard a song from Big K.R.I.T. yet that I didn't like.  This dude is the truth.  He's definitely one of the best new artists of the past few years but he still hasn't gotten the shine he deserves.  Hopefully this song will help propel him to the mainstream a little more because we need more rappers with skills like him to save the genre for the future.

Are You From HERE? Kemba Walker's Under Armour Ad (COOL)

Check out this cool spot that Under Armour did for Bobcats rookie, Kemba Walker.  That's some real shit.  I'm really looking forward to seeing how he plays in the pros.  He's a little undersized but he's a winner and as Tim Tebow has proved recently, sometimes that's all that matters.  The kid has heart and I bet he is going to surprise a lot of people this year.

On a side note, it's about time the NBA related commercials started coming out.  Everything is finally getting a little closer to normal.  We probably would have seen this ad and some of the others that have been popping up lately a long time ago if it weren't for the F'n lockout.  I NEED MY NBA HOOPS!  Christmas Day cannot come soon enough.

T-Pain feat. Lil Wayne - "Bang Bang Pow Pow" (HOT)

This is some solid new shit from the man everyone loves to hate, T-Pain. I don't know if it was on purpose or not but he kind of disappeared over the past year or so and only made the occasional guest appearance once in awhile. This was a good move because he was saturating the market too much with his sound and I think people were starting to get sick of him.

Not everyone likes T-Pain but you have to admit he knows how to make hit songs. I've always liked him but I also got sick of him at the same time, especially when he was using too much AutoTune.  It seems like he's gone away from that and he's showing that he actually has some decent singing ability on his own. It's nice to hear him coming hard with something like this too, as opposed to the Hit Pop he usually releases. This new joint is harder than most of his recent singles but it's upbeat enough that it could get some radio and club spins. If this is any indication of where he's going on his new Revolver album, it should be another banger.

The Muppets: 'Saw' Trailer (AWESOME)

This is nuts!  Who would have thought the new Muppets would be so edgy?  It's too bad the movie won't be this crazy but I would love it if they would do a PG-13 or Rated R movie like this in the future.  There's nothing better than inappropriate shit with puppets or cartoons and they can get away with so much more.  It would be funny and disturbing at the same time.

I used to love The Muppets back in the day and looking back on it now, they used to actually do some pretty crazy things on that show that was probably completely inappropriate for kids but that's how it was in the 70's and early 80's I guess.  Either way, I'm still going to consider seeing this movie when it comes out on DVD because I can watch it with my son and also relive the good old days.

Statler and Waldorf, the old grumpy guys up top were probably my favorites but Beeker, Animal and the Swedish Chef were pretty awesome too.

Air Jordan XI Concord - Dj RyB's Early Delivery

Photobucket
Yessir.  These are pictures of my new Air Jordan XI Concords that I was lucky enough to cop almost two months before their official release date of December 23rd, 2011.  I've had them for a few weeks now but I kept forgetting to upload the picks of the initial unboxing.  I finally stepped my game up and decided to post them up for your viewing and drooling pleasure.
Photobucket
I was able to cop a pair of the Space Jams when they released back in 2009 but my sneaker collection didn't feel complete until I had the Concords in my hands.  I actually had a chance to buy these when they originally released back in 1996 but I wasn't sure about the patent leather and decided to pass.
Photobucket
After a few months went by, the look grew on me but it was too late so I settled for a pair of the Air Jordan XI IE's with the grey snake skin.  I've been kicking myself ever since and was never able to get a pair due to either a lack of funds or just not having the ability to stand in line forever.  I may have paid a premium for the Concords this time around but it was well worth it since I've got them before most people and I didn't have to camp out for them.  I am now happier than a pig in shit.

Thursday Throwbacks: T.I. - "24's"

Since I was already in a T.I. state of mind, I thought I'd throw up one of his older classic joints for the Thursday Throwback post.  Although rims aren't as big of a deal as they used to be back when this came out, the song itself holds up pretty well.  This was the anthem for anyone that had some hot rims on their ride back in the day, although most of us were lucky if we could afford some 18's or 20's, yet alone some 24's.

Day-Day: "Just got some 20's on there.  Them 20's.  I just got them."
Craig: "Them ain't 20's but it's off the hook."
Day-Day: "Them are 20's, man.  Naw, they 10's.  I bought em from somebody...but they nice though."

T.I. Ft. BIG K.R.I.T - "I'm Flexin'" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Ah shit!  This new T.I. joint sounds like the reincarnation of his alter ego, TIP.  T.I. goes hard on this one and he also had the sense to bring on one of the best up and coming rappers on the scene right now, Big K.R.I.T.  Dope beat.  Dope lyrics. I don't need to say much more about this.  It's straight head bangin' Hip Hop.

NeverWet Spray Protects and Shields Sneakers Like Nothing Else on Earth (AWESOME)

If you're a sneakerhead like me, you're always looking for new and better ways to protect your sneakers from every day life and more specifically, the sneaker killers of dirt, grime, grease and water.  I have probably bought 20 different sneaker protectors over the years and although they work decently, they never seem to fully protect your sneakers from the major accidents, scuffs and liquids that surround you every day.  How many times have you or someone around you dropped something like ketchup or fruit punch on your kicks and you immediately got heated because you knew your kicks would never be the same?  It's one of the most depressing moments in a sneakerhead's life.

With Ross Nanotechnology's NeverWet superhydrophobic spray-on coating, it seems like you will never need to worry about these mishaps ever again. Just look at this madness in the video. Chocolate syrup just deflects off of a white canvas shoe like it was made of glass. Unreal. I know I'll be copping this product IMMEDIATELY once it's available. I'll be sure to keep this post updated as soon as I find out when and where it's available.

Ace Hood Ft. Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Wale & DJ Khaled - "Body 2 Body" Remix (NEW ISH)

Ace Hood's "Body 2 Body" has been out since earlier this year but the remix featuring Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Wale & DJ Khaled just dropped recently and it's kind of given the song a second push.  I have to admit, I kind of forgot about this joint and I think it's kind of underrated.  I thought it would be a lot bigger than it ended up being.

On a random note, the picture that was used for this video is kind of strange and I think one of the YouTube commenters nailed it:

It looks like rick ross bout to grab his butt and khaled tryin to get a glimpse lol

HA HA!  So true.  Here is the original song.video while we're here.

Cee Lo Green - "Anyway" (Official Lyric Video)

Not bad.  This is definitely more on the poppy tip with the uptempo beat, safe guitar riffs and catchy hook but I'm not really complaining.  I wasn't sure if I would make it all the way through at first because I wasn't immediately impressed but I found myself getting into it as the song progressed.

Cee-Lo is officially in the zone.  Anything he has released over the past few years has been an instant hit.  I'm just surprised it took him this long to get recognized by the mainstream because he's been making dope music for almost 20 years.  Crazy!

UConn's Jeremy Lamb Dunks Over Some Poor Columbia University Player (DEEZ NUTS)

DAMN!  Now that is how you start the season off right, young fella.  Good lord.  I knew Jeremy Lamb could throw it down with authority but that was just downright nasty.

I feel bad for the Columbia dude who made a half-assed attempt to go up for a block until he realized it was too late and the posterization had already commenced.  That wasn't quite a Vince Carter over Frederick Weis ordeal but he was certainly getting very close.  Luckily for him, he kind of fell to the ground in hopes of getting away but it was just too late.

FADER TV Interview with Dr. Dre (NO DETOX?!?!)

This certainly isn't good news for any Dr. Dre fan that has been waiting more than a DECADE(!!!) for the Detox album.  It seemed like we would almost certainly get this album in the near future since two singles had already dropped and a few other songs had leaked but now it sounds like Dre needs to take a break from the game which is not a great sign for this album ever being completed.

I've read numerous articles and tweets from rappers that say the album is done and will definitely be dropping so I don't know what to believe.  I'm sure it probably could be released right now but Dre is a perfectionist to a fault at times so it may never see the light of day.  I just hope we get something because the fans deserve it at this point. We've had more than enough patience with his bullshit.  It's time to just release Detox as is and let the music speak for itself.  Come on, man!!!!

Rihanna ft. Jay-Z - "Talk That Talk" (NEW ISH)

This will probably be taken down from YouTube sooner than later so I thought I would throw this up as soon as I could. I'll try and keep it updated with new links because the record labels usually end up giving up at some point. I fully expect this to be a huge record since it's the first collabo between Rihanna and Jay-Z in awhile. The song itself isn't anything groundbreaking but it's got a cool vibe with a catchy hook which is all you really need these days. It kind of sounds weird hearing Jay being featured on an R&B track like this since he rarely does it anymore but I'm not complaining. I thought his appearance is what made this song stick out from the rest.

NFL Catch of the Year? - Chiefs' Jonathan Baldwin Pulls Off the Impossible

This play technically didn't count as a legal catch because there was a penalty on the Chiefs that brought it back but it still needs to be considered for catch of the year because of the degree of difficulty. Baldwin secured the ball against Brian Dawkins' back and then found a way to pull it in and get possession while falling to the ground. Unreal!

Arkansas Razorback Joe Adams' Incredible Punt Return (NASTY)

This punt return by Joe Adams is probably going to be the best one of the season and could be one of the best returns of all time when all is said and done. I just can't imagine anyone being able to pull off something more spectacular than that. He should have been tackled approximately 15 times but the dude just kept going and never got tired. That is something that you might see during a flag football game but not something that you expect to see during a D1 college football game. He made Tennessee's special teams defense look DUMB. So nasty!

Dub FX and DJ Unkut Get Crazy w/ Traktor Pro 2 (SICKNESS)

I just downloaded Traktor Scratch 2 last night and although I've only spent minimal time with it, I'm really loving the new features.  The best addition was probably the sample decks that you can load with any sample that you create or find.  The best part is that you can either trigger the sample like a drum machine or you can create a loop and have it play in time automatically with the master tempo of the track playing which basically means you can remix anything on the fly.  It's pretty f'n awesome.

As Dub FX displays above, you can also use inputs to create sample loops by using a microphone or other input source.  It works best if you have the new Traktor Kontrol S4 but you can definitely do some crazy shit with other set ups as well.  The fact that Dub FX was able to create a complete song on the fly just by using the mic, his Traktor Kontrol S4 and Traktor Pro 2 is pretty incredible.  The song itself was sick!

Traktor has also updated their Native Scratch Technology for even more precise scratching with their vinyl control records.  I don't use the vinyl as much anymore now that I have a USB controller that can handle most basic scratching duties but even when I used the vinyl, I never noticed much of a lag anyway.  It wasn't almost exactly like using real vinyl but the fact that Native Instruments was willing to update that technology and take it to the next level tells you something about their dedication to getting their products perfect.  DJ Unkut takes the technology to the limits in the clip above and does not disappoint.  NASTY!!!

Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - "Dance (A$$) Remix" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Here's the official video for one of my favorite commercial joints out right now.  As I've mentioned before, "Dance (A$$)" is kind of a ridiculous song but for some reason it just gets me locked in every time I hear it.  Sometimes it just happens with a dumb song like this, even though you don't really want to like it.

On a random note, the best line of the song has to be:
"You gonna get a tip today...Fuck that...you gonna get some dick today!"

Herman Cain’s Campaign Promises with Mike Tyson (FUNNY)

Funny or Die comes through with another classic video, this time using Mike Tyson to portray the crazy side of Herman Cain.  It's a little ridiculous and exaggerated but that's what makes it great.  I think the main reason why it's so funny is because of  Tyson's awful acting and pronunciations.  Their casting couldn't have been better.

On a side note, the best line was definitely this:  "Because The Tea Party loves Crazy more than they hate Blacks".  WOW.

Garrett McNamara Rides 90 Foot Wave (RIDICULOUS)

This dude is nuts! That wave is f'n huge!!!  It doesn't even look real!  You can barely see the guy when they show the wide shot.  Just incredible.

There is no way in hell I would even consider catching a wave over10 feet if I could even actually surf.  I almost drowned one time when I was like 12 boogie boarding after a hurricane.  The waves were pretty big and strong but they were like a fraction of this shit.  I can't imagine how you could hold your breath long enough to live if you ever fell off the board.  Shit is crazy!

Grand Theft Auto V Trailer (DOPE)

There's been so many sick games dropping lately.  I don't know if I can keep up.  I just don't have enough time in my day to play all of them so I have to be selective.  Based on this trailer, it looks like Grand Theft Auto V has a chance of making it's way into the rotation.  This looks so sick!

Heavy D. Dead at Age 44 (R.I.P.)

I was very surprised to hear this morning on the news that Heavy D had passed away last night.  Someone just mentioned on the radio yesterday how it always seems to come in threes and I guess we are almost there already.  First it was Joe Frazier and now it's my boy Big Heav.  He even gave his own R.I.P. message to Frazier on his Twitter handle just yesterday.  Damn.

I grew up on Heavy D and the Boyz back in middle school and high school and even though they sold mad records back then and had a bunch of hits, I always thought they were underrated.  I guess it's because he was more of a commercial artist in a time when the raw and grimy rappers were getting more attention.  Now it's the complete opposite.  If those songs were released today and were just as successful, Heavy D would be a huge name in Hip Hop.  He is still well known but I'm not sure he'll ever get the credit he deserves.

Anyway, here are a few of my favorite joints from back in the day.  He also just released a new R&B flavored album that was really solid called Love Opus.  Go and take a listen on Spotify if you get the chance.  It's some nice Hip Hop/R&B for the older set.

Saigon - "Enemies" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Saigon's The Greatest Story Never Told has been out for awhile now but it's nice to see he's finally dropping a video for one of the doper tracks on the album.  It's too bad that it took so long for him to get a proper album released considering he had a nice buzz a few years back but don't sleep because he's still bringing the heat.  TGSNT is one of my favorite underground albums of the year and you can listen to it all the way through without even thinking about pressing fast forward.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - "The Vet & The n00b" (SICK)

You've probably already seen this new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 commercial by now but I thought I would throw it up because I can't get over how f'n awesome it is.  At first I thought it was a trailer for a real movie because of the Sam Worthington and Jonah Hill appearances.

Actually, they probably should make this into a movie considering it would be better than most of the crap they put out these days.  Also, I didn't even notice Dwight Howard was in the commercial until I saw it again last night.  Just a classic commercial all around.  I don't usually play first person shooter games because I suck at them and I would definitely be the n00b but after watching this, I'm certainly considering it...

Drake Ft. Andre 3000 and Lil Wayne " The Real Her " Lyrics (Free To Take Care Album)

I'm not really sure how I feel about this track "The Real Her' from Drake's new Free To Take Care album.   I'm OK with the slower R&B vibe but I feel like Lil Wayne doesn't really fit on this song at all and his flow is kind of painful. Andre 3000 definitely sounds more comfortable on a track like this. To be honest, I kind of wish it was his song so we could hear more verses and maybe just have Drake on the hook. I didn't really even like the song until 3000 jumped on...

"Kim's Fairytale Divorce" - SNL Skit Making Fun of the HumpDash Wedding (HILARIOUS)

SNL finally came through with a funny skit this season after being thrown a fastball right down the middle with the Kardashian wedding drama that has been going on over the past few weeks.  They absolutely crushed this one out of the park.  I think Kristen Wiig nailed the Kris Jenner character.  If you pay close attention to her, she's constantly doing things in the background to steal the camera just like the mother would do in real life.  She looked just like her too!  Freakin' classic.  Kris Humphries also got completely owned by Andy Samberg by making him look like a complete moron without even having to say a word.  Classic skit...

Kirk Herbstreit Almost Craps His Pants During Oklahoma Earthquake (YIKES)

The look on Kirk's face when he realizes he is sitting through an earthquake is funny but also a little frightening.  It was literally a look of "am I going to die right now"?  We can look back on it now and laugh since no major damage was done but that had to be scary as hell for him and everyone in the stadium.  When you are up that high, all you are thinking about is whether or not the stadium is going to collapse.  Not cool.

Canadian Sports Anchor Barry Deley Wins $2 Million Lotto Live On Global BC (CO-WORKERS GET PISSED)

I'm not really sure how this dude was allowed to win this lottery considering he works for the station that did the drawing but if it's legal, good for him.  It just seems a little shady and his co-workers tend to agree since they were pissed and extremely jealous as they talked to him live on the air.  The male co-anchor even swore on the air saying "I'm gonna read sports shit because I have to work for a living."  HA HA.  Jealousy's a bitch bro.  Settle down and be happy for your friend.

Amy Winehouse Ft. Nas - "Like Smoke" (NEW ISH)

Take a listen to this new Amy Winehouse joint featuring Nas as soon as you can because UMG is taking down all of the copies on YouTube at a ridiculous pace.  I was surprised I was able to find one that was still working since the first 5 or 6 I tried were already down even though they had just been uploaded today.

Anyway, this is a hot joint but it's slightly depressing since you realize this is some of the last "new" music we'll ever hear from Amy Winehouse.  She had her problems but the girl had some serious talent.  Her soulful style goes perfectly with Hip Hop and I guarantee she would have continued to link up with rappers more and more as time rolled on.  It's too bad.

Here is the remix of "You Know I'm No Good" she did with Ghostface Killah.  It's definitely a favorite of mine.

American Reunion Trailer (LOOKS GOOD)

The American Pie series kind of fell off after the sequel and then they started making low quality, straight to DVD releases that were loosely connect to the original but I have to admit, this American Reunion actually looks pretty damn good.  All of the original characters are back and it's been long enough since the original that they can actually touch on some new subject matter to give the series a refresh of sorts.

I know trailers can be deceiving but these look good.  I don't think they are showing the funniest parts of the movie for once so I think it has serious potential. On top of that, I love the infatuation with R. Kelly joints in both of the trailers.  Classic!

Thursday Throwbacks: MC Lyte - "Poor Georgie" (PLUS JEEZY'S "SHAKE LIFE)

I decided to go with MC Lyte's Poor Georgie" for this week's throwback because of a new Young Jeezy track called "Shake Life" that I've been hearing on Sirius a lot lately.  It's definitely a hot joint and finally something decent from his new Thug Motivation 103 album which keeps getting delayed because all of the songs he was releasing from it were garbage.

Anyway, I recognized the beat immediately since it's just a slightly harder version of MC Lyte's "Poor Georgie".  The original sample is actually from Toto's "Georgy Porgy" which is a funky old school joint.  Here it is for your listening pleasure.

NBA 2K12 - Legends Showcase DLC Teaser (COOL)

If you already own NBA 2K12 then you are probably aware of the Legends Showcase add-on/download that will available very soon.  For those that don't own the game, first off, WTF are you waiting for?  This is probably the best sports game of 2011, at least in my opinion.  Go cop that ish!

But if you were sitting on the fence for some reason, this should probably put you over the top if you're an NBA fan.  Not only will you be able to play key games with the top legends that are already included in the game such as Dr. J, Jordan, Bird, Magic and Kareem but you will now be able to play 21, Horse, One on One, Two on Two and more with more legends and past all-stars.  The video above gives you a brief hint of what you can do with the new download.  I think it's only $10 so it definitely seems worth it to me.  I'll definitely be downloading that as soon as it's available.

Justin Bieber Freestyles Over "Otis" Instrumental On Power 106 (VERY IMPRESSIVE)

Woah!  I was not expecting that at all.  The Biebs went in on the "Otis" instrumental.  Good lord!  He's better than most of the dudes doing it for a career these days and that was just for fun.  I could actually see him releasing a few rap tracks or even an album and I wouldn't even hate if it sounded close to this.  You know he would get the best beats and guest appearances because of his connections too.

The only criticism I have is that this was obviously not a real "freestyle" since he had the rhyme memorized but that was still impressive nonetheless.  No one really goes off the top of the dome anymore so I really won't even hold that against him, especially since he is actually a singer first.  Mad props dude.

Kevin Durant Plays in OSU Flag Football Game After Twitter Conversation (MAD COOL)

You've probably heard about or seen this video clip by now if you were watching SportsCenter or PTI yesterday but it's still worth another look because it's a cool story. Since I'm too lazy right now to type it all out, here's the summary from BusinessInsider.com:

"Durant started the whole thing by tweeting, "This lockout is really boring..anybody playing flag football in Okc..I need to run around or something!" A guy at Oklahoma State tweeted him back saying he had a game in Stillwater. He and Durant started DM-ing. And a few hours later Durant arrived at his door and drove him and his buddies to the field. After the game, he tweeted, "I had soooo much fun at Oklahoma st playing flag football! Shoutout my new buddy @groverbey for inviting me! I threw 4 tds and had 3 ints!!""

Phiten presents Still Flexin' by Pac Div Ft. Melo, Bosh, D. Williams, E. Gordon (RANDOM BUT DECENT)

I'm not really sure what is going on here but I guess Phiten is trying to tell us that their titanium bracelets are the next wave of bling?  OK.  Sure.  I'm not sure it was necessary to pay for NBA stars Melo, Bosh, D. Williams & E. Gordon to show up in the ad since they really didn't provide much value but at least Pac Div made a nice little track for the ad.  Interesting...

J. Cole - "Lost Ones" & "Can't Get Enough" (OFFICIAL VIDEOS)

The video for "Lost Ones" is simple but effective.  It goes perfectly with the vibe of the song.  I'm surprised this is the next single from the album but I think it's a cool joint and it's different than anything else out right now so it's refreshing.  The whole album is dope so I don't even know what I would have picked to be the next single myself.

I missed the video for "Can't Get Enough" so I might as well throw that up too.

Duck Sauce - "Big Bad Wolf" Official Video (CREEPY & HILARIOUS)

I don't even know where to begin with this one so I'll just let you take a look for yourself.  This is awesome and disturbing all at the same time.  It goes perfectly with the craziness of the "Big Bad Wolf" song though so it almost makes sense in some fucked up way.  These dudes were on some other shit when they came up with this one.  Mad props on the creativity though.  We need more music videos like this.

Thursday Throwbacks: Jeru The Damaja - "Come Clean"

I've been kind of inconsistent with my Thursday Throwbacks lately but I think I've been dropping some gems when I actually do get around to it.  Here is another one of those classics from the mid 90's that was on some street shit but still had some crossover appeal somehow.  Back then, it didn't really matter if a song was radio friendly or not.  As long as it was a dope joint, it got some radio spins and was thrown in the video rotation.  This is a perfect example of that.  It's still one of the best beats I've ever heard in my life.  Just FILTHY!!!

Behind the Scenes at Melo's M8 NYC Flight Event (AWESOME LIGHT SHOW OVER THE HUDSON RIVER)

I've been hearing about this video for a few days now but I kept forgetting to watch it until just now.  I wish I had seen it earlier because this is ridiculously cool.  This has to be one of, if not the best shoe promos ever done.  I'm not a fan of most of the Melo signature Jordan Brand shoes but this definitely got me a little excited for the M8 for about a half a second.  Too bad the shoe is pretty hideous once you get a better look at it.

Here's the summary from the video with a link to the official site:

Kimlon "KJ" Dillon's Amazing 5-Yard TD Dive (SICK)

WOW!  Now that was sick!  I know that the defender kind of gave him that extra push to land in the end zone but I have a feeling he would have landed there anyway.  The fact that he even tried was impressive.

I'm surprised more people don't do it from a little closer.  I know it's an injury risk but most defenders aren't looking for the jump and are focused on getting low so it's definitely an option.  Although, DeSean Jackson tried this in a high school all-star game with no defenders around and still failed miserably so maybe it's not the best idea:

Jordan: Love The Game (VIRAL VIDEO w. D.WADE, MELO & CP3)

It's depressing that this video was even made but at least it's entertaining.  I'm not sure what else I can say about it because I'm just too annoyed right now.  I can't believe we've already lost a month of the NBA season and it doesn't look like they are coming back any time soon.  FUCK.

Anyway, check out the vid for clips of Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony kicking ass in a senior rec league, a women’s league, a Chasidic Jewish league and a pick up game with some dirty hipsters.  Good shit.

David Sabastian - "P**** Marijuana" (NOT BAD)

I was expecting to hate this song because of the awful title but I have to admit, this is actually kind of catchy.  The video is pretty dope too.  I've never heard of this dude David Sabastian before but he's got a nice flow, even though he is definitely stealing a little bit of Lil Wayne's style and rhyme patterns.  His voice even sounds a lot like him.

That's not a bad move at first because it might fool some people but eventually he's going to have to find his own style.  He sounds like he's got enough skills to do that.  I'll definitely be checking out more of his shit in the near future.

Thursday Throwbacks: Kris Kross - "Warm It Up"

"Warm it up Chris! I'm about to! Warm it up Chris! Cause that's what I was born to do!" Ahhhh! That's my shit! I get fired up every time I hear this and it instantly takes me back to the good old days. This has been my theme song since 8th grade and I've stuck to it ever since. How often do you get a dope track that uses your name in the hook?!?! You pretty much have to make that your theme song. I thought it was fitting to throw this one up todau since it's my BDay. Cause that's what I was born to do!

While we're here, I might as well hit you off with "Jump". Another classic!

Drake ~ "Headlines" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Drake ~ Headlines (Official Video) from OctobersVeryOwn on Vimeo.

The video for Drake's "Headlines" has been out for a few weeks now but I never got a chance to post it up until now.  It's a dope song but it's an even better video with some crazy special effects and imagery.  Drake and his crew also bring some serious heat with the kicks on their feet.  Be on the lookout for the following sneakers (Shout out to NiceKicks.com for doing all the work). Air Jordan 9 “Citrus” Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” Air Jordan 3 “Stealth” Air Jordan 11 IE Low White/Black Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver Adidas Superstar White/Black-Grey Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 Black/Purple Air Jordan 6 “Oreo” Air Jordan 5 “Wolf Grey” Nike Air Max 95 “Chili” Converse Chuck Taylor Nike Lava Dunk Vibrant Orange/Midnight Fog

T.I. ft. Pharrell - "Here Ye, Here Ye" (DOPE)

This is some hot shit right here.  T.I. came with a nice verse but I think I was most impressed with Pharrell's verse and improved flow.  He switched it up a little bit and sounds like he's been working on getting his game up to par.  Not bad.  This is also when T.I. is at his best.  A rough beat to go with an aggressive flow.  Dope.

Iowa Hawkeyes Fans Display Their "Cards" (COOL)

Now this is what you call crowd participation.  I can't get over how perfect it worked out considering these people had never practiced this before and you have to worry about thousands of people holding and flipping their cards at the right time.  The patriotic angle was very cool as well.  I don't think you could pull this off in a pro stadium because half of the people would still be in line for beer or the bathroom.

Shout out to Tommy G for sending me the link.  I finally gave you some credit bro!

NBA 2K12 - All Default NIKE ID & Foot Locker Shoe Options for My Player (SICK)

I've finally had a chance to dig into NBA 2K12's My Player option and I have to say, it's pretty awesome.  If you played NBA 2K11, it is very similar in feel but they add many more details this time around, including a lot more shoe options.  There are a bunch of default selections available from Jordan, Adidas, Converse, Reebok & Nike and you can unlock even more as you play the game.

My favorite non-Jordan options were the Converse Chuck Taylor, Converse Weapon and Reebok Question.  I'm sure I'll be lacing my player with all of those joints at some point in his career.  The Jordan Brand sponsorship is back as well.  If you play well enough to get noticed by MJ, he might sign you to the brand and give you your own shoe. Dopeness.

Wiz Khalifa Ft. Snoop Dogg & Mike Posner - "French Inhale" (DECENT)

I might have to listen to this a few more times to fully get the vibe but I think I like it.  It's definitely on some smoked out shit so I guess you gotta be in the right mindset because it's chill as fuck.  The hook and name of the song is also a little strange but at least they're not talking about 'swag' or 'money' like everyone else these days.   I feel like Wiz is getting a little lazy lately with his verses but I still like his shit for the most part.  Not bad.

Sick No-Look, Over the Head Alley Oop Pass From Rondo to Faried (RIDICULOUS)

So sick!  I can't believe I haven't seen this clip until now.  That's my boy Rondo getting dirty with a sick over the head, no look alley oop to Kenneth Faried during The State Farm Big Blue All Star Tour, whatever the hell that is.  I'm pretty sure it's just ex-Kentucky players keeping themselves busy during the lockout.  I miss the NBA already.  This is going to be a really long winter.  UGH.

Beavers or Cougars? ESPN Gameday Crew Drops Some Sexual Innuendo (FUNNY)

I'm pretty sure this was completely intentional on Chris Fowler's part but he did a nice job of making it sound like it was just part of the flow.  Unfortunately, Kirk Herbstreit blew up his spot by visibly losing but Desmond Howard and Lee Corso either ignored it or it went completely over their heads.  Either way, that was pretty funny and pretty bold for a Saturday morning college football talk show.  Good stuff.

In a somewhat related college football video, Oregon coach Chip Kelly tells some annoying fans behind him to "SHUT UP!" while he is being interviewed by the lovely Erin Andrews.  It was somewhat amusing but I think it got elevated to post worthy because it included another look at Miss Andrews.  You can never have enough of those.  Love her.

Bboyworld presents Evolution 6 NYC | Special Crew Routine Edition (SICK)

Damn.  This is on some next level B-Boy ish.  Unbelievable.  I can't even understand how some of these moves are even possible but they are sick nonetheless.  Be on the lookout for the dude who literally puts his foot in his mouth and then does a couple of spins and crazy twists around the :50 mark.  Ridiculous!

The Rapture - "How Deep Is Your Love A-Trak Remix" (SMOOTH)

I stumbled across this video the other day and thought it was some tight shit.  The original isn't bad at all but the A-Trak Remix is even crazier.  It's smooth and chill, yet uptempo and happy at the same time.  I think I might have to add this one to the rotation.

Here is the original:

Penguins' Jay Beagle Knocks Out Capitals' Arron Asham (DIESEL)

Damn son!  You just got knocked the F*** out!  I love how Beagle was getting the worst of it at first until he got that glove off and then drilled Asham with two quick punches and knocked his ass out.  The celebration/hang gestures he did afterward were pretty classic too.  Go to sleep bitch!

NBA 2K12 Promo - The Great Debate w/ Brian Wilson (HE LOVES THE CELTICS)

This is pretty awesome.  I've never been a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants' Brian Wilson and his weirdo antics but sometimes he can be pretty funny and this is one of those times.  Not only does he argue the '86 Celtics were the best team of all time but he also put on a Bird wig, nut hug shorts and some classic Celtics garb to represent to the fullest.  I wasn't expecting that but I certainly respect it.

You also get a nice look at some of the highlights from NBA 2K12 at the end of the video.  If you haven't picked this up yet, I suggest you get it ASAP.  It plays very similar to 2K11 so there weren't any huge updates there but it was almost perfect last year anyway, so I'm glad they didn't mess with it too much.  What they did do was offer the ability to play with some of the greatest teams and players in NBA history and let you see who would be the greatest team of all time.  I've been addicted to it ever since I got it last week and I don't see myself stopping any time soon.  Dopeness.

Mountain Biker Gets Smashed By Red Hartebeest in South Africa (DAMN!)

I saw this for the first time last night on PTI and almost spit out my beer because it caught me so off guard.  This dude got FUCKED UP!!!  He's lucky he didn't die because he could have easily been impaled by an antler or got some internal bleeding.  That wasn't just a grazing.  That was a full on assault.  Crazy!

Here is the description from YouTube:

"Mountain Biker, Evan van der Spuy of Team Jeep South Africa got taken out by a RED HARTEBEES at the Time Freight Express MTB race at Albert Falls Dam. Check out this crazy footage which was taken by team mate Travis Walker on his GoPro Camera."

Troy Polamalu at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum (FUNNY)

I meant to throw this up last week but since I'm already on the football vibe today, I thought I'd throw it up now.  Better late than never.  This has been done quite a bit over the years but it never seems to get old.  I think it works better in this instance because of Troy Polamalu's crazy ass hair.  It's almost like no one can believe that it's actually real hair and just assumes it's a wig on a wax figure.  Funny shit.

Victor Cruz and Dwayne Bowe's Ridiculous Catches from the Weekend (UNREAL)

I know I'm almost two days late on these clips but I had the day off yesterday and didn't post anything and these two catches are certainly worth another look.  It's tough to say which one is better but you can almost guarantee that both will be considered for catch of the year.  Both used incredible athleticism and concentration to pull these off.  So sick!

BONUS:  I also thought the incident between the Panther's Steve Smith and Saint's Roman Harper was worth another look since it involved a sick catch by Smith and an unnecessary late hit by Harper that started a small brawl.  Good times!

How To Make It In America Music Video: Luis Guzman By Duck Sauce

I've been anticipating the new season of How To Make It In America for awhile now but this video just got me really hyped up.  Luis Guzman is the shit!  RASTA MONSTA! There's even some special guest appearances by Justin Bieber, Mark Wahlberg, Kid Cudi, Bryan Greenberg, Lake Bell, Victor Rasuk, Duck Sauce, Q-Tip, Pharrell Williams, Asher Roth, Pusha T, and many more. Good shit!

Little Girl Raps and Sings Nicki Minaj' "Super Bass" (IMPRESSIVE)

Woah! I didn't know a little white girl could pull off the Nicki MInaj rap from "Super Bass" so well. I can't even follow along half the time. Then to take it to the next level, she belts out the chorus and sounds really good! And this was all acapella! Very impressive.

Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - "Dance (Ass) Remix" (DOPE)

This song is a little ridiculous and normally I would probably rip on it for its simplicity but I'm actually liking it a lot these days. I think it's that "U Can't Touch This" (which is actually from Rick James' "Super Freak") sample that locks me in every time. Plus it's got a hint of DJ Assault's "Ass N Titties" so I just get hypnotized by the awesomeness since all three of these songs are some of my all time favorites in the 'Secret Pleasures' category. Here's a taste of all three just to bring it all together. Classics!

Nike MAG | The Full Story

I meant to throw this up a couple of weeks ago when they hype around the Nike MAG was at it's peak but I got caught up and forgot about it until now. Better late than never, I guess. This is a great behind the scenes look at how the shoe was created for Back II The Future 2, as well as how the 2011 version was created for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Good stuff!

"Too Much Moneyball" - The New York Yankees Story (AMUSING)

This doesn't completely get rid of the sting the Red Sox gave their fans at the end of this season but it certainly helps a little bit. Anything that rips on the Yankees is always fun for Sox fans, although we can't even laugh at this that much since we are pretty much doing the same shit but failing at it. Ugh.

Ridiculous Goal by Bayer Leverkusen's Eren Derdiyok (UNREAL(

This might be one of the best goals I've ever seen.  Not only was it exciting but it also looks hard has hell to pull off.  This dude Eren Derdiyok not only grabbed the ball on a tough pass, but he gathered, stopped on a dime, changed direction and then flipped the ball over his head to pull of an insane bicycle kick.  It doesn't get much better than that.

On a somewhat related note, I don't think I've ever seen that many vowels in the subject of a blog post in the history of the internet.  That shit is just out of control.  Try saying this even one time cleanly, yet alone three times in a row.  It can't be done.  "Bayer Leverkusen's Eren Derdiyok"

LeBron James and John Wall Throw Down at the CP3 All Star Game (SICK DUNKS)

The only positive thing that has come out of the NBA Lockout has been all of these awesome "All Star" games going on across the country that some of the top stars have put together on their own.  These games happen during the summer but it's usually for a short period of time before training camp and very rarely do this many stars show up in one place.

We also don't see this many crazy highlights or ridiculous dunks from the stars because they don't want to get hurt for the upcoming season but because it's not looking very good on that end right now, it seems like these guys are willing to let it all hang out.  I knew John Wall was a sick athlete but I had no idea he was this good of a dunker either.  LeBron and him went at it with an impromptu dunk contest and I think Wall won based on creativity and degree of difficulty.  SICK!!!

"Here is the recap of the CP3 Foundation Allstar Game in Winston-Salem, NC. This mix features LeBron James, John Wall, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, JR Smith, Rudy Gay, Kyrie Irving, and Josh Selby."

B.o.B ft. Lil Wayne - "Strange Clouds" (NEW ISH)

Damn!  Make sure you test your speakers on this one before you blast it too loud because this could seriously pop your subwoofer.  That is what you call "Crunchy Bass" or "Squelch Bass".  It pounds hard.  This is a nice little track too.  I wouldn't really expect these two to do a collabo but Wayne has been leaning more towards the alternative Hip Hop world that B.o.B. floats in so I guess it does make sense once you think about it.  This song went up on September 26th and it already has 1.5+ million views/listens so I fully expect this to be a big hit.

Maino Feat. Lil Wayne - "Cream" (NEW ISH)

There's nothing ground breaking here but I do think this is a hot track.  I think the beat and hook caught my attention more than Maino's or Lil Wayne's verses but they were good enough.  Maino is kind of underrated in my opinion so hopefully some of Wayne's more commercial fans will give him a chance now that they've heard him.

Marquese Scott's 'Pumped Up Kicks' Dubstep Routine (SICK!)

Wow.  This dude is ridiculous!  He definitely has some crazy body control.  I love the live action slow-mo moves he pulls off and he does some crazy stop motion type moves as well.  Very impressive.  Just wait until you get to the 4 minute mark.  Dude will blow your mind!

Q Da Kid ft Bun B - "Dream Big (Fast Lane)" (NEW ISH)

I can't remember ever hearing anything from this dude Q Da Kid before but I have to admit he's not bad.  Anyone that can get Bun B to jump on a track with them automatically gets a listen, in my opinion.  It doesn't mean they are going to be good every time but Bun usually doesn't show up on too many garbage tracks so it can certainly be a nice stamp of approval.  This is definitely a hot track.  Respect.

Goodman League Highlights ft. Eric Gordon, John Wall, Jeff Teague, Jeff Green (JOSH McROBERTS CAN THROW DOWN TOO)

There's some nice highlights in here for you hoop heads feenin' for some basketball action but the best part of the video is the dunk show that is displayed by Josh McRoberts of all people.  Who knew he had hops like this?!?!?  Granted he is 6'10" so it's a little easier for him but these dunks are still very impressive since they usually come from more smaller and more agile ballers.  Did I really see him pull off a 360 between the legs dunks!?!?  DAMN!

CFL DB Korey Banks Gets Lit Up By Goal Post (DAMN!!!)

To quote Smokey from Friday, "You got knocked the fuck out!"  Damn son!  You gotta watch out for that shit.  In all seriousness though, why the F does the Canadian Football League still have the goal post in the front of the end zone?  It's just ridiculous.

The NFL had that way back in the day and they realized that if they didn't want their Defensive Backs to get paralyzed or possibly die, then they should probably move the goal post.  I know it creates a different type of game and makes scoring a little harder but it's just not worth it.  Stupid.

I do like that they let the receivers get a running start like they do in the Arena Football League.  That creates some nice offensive options...

Giants' Michael Boley Nails Guy in the Face with Football After TD (AWESOME)

Damn son!  You just got F'd up!  Getting hit in the face any time has to suck but it's even worse when millions of people see it happening live and laugh at you in unison.  Before the game, this dude probably thought he was all cool working for the Giants as an intern and probably bragged to all of his friends to look for him on the field during the game because he would be standing in the end zone.  He had no idea that this fiasco would happen and all of a sudden he's the newest viral video on the internet because he got drilled with the football thrown by his own team!  That's gotta suck.

Thursday Throwbacks: Onyx "Slam"

"Slam" is one of my favorite 90's joints and still gets me hyped to this day.  Just straight fight music.  I think this was one of the first rap songs that metal and rock dudes actually liked and could mosh to in the pit.  It actually had a huge influence on the Rap/Rock fusion style that soon followed too.  Public Enemy and Anthrax might have done the first real mashup with their remix version of "Bring The Noise" but the Onyx and Biohazard version of "Slam" wasn't far behind.  This shit was so nasty and it caught a lot of people off guard.  It brought together two completely different types of music fans and basically helped create an entirely new genre.

Bonus Joint:  Onyx "Slam Harder"

Nas - "Your Mouth Got You In It" (UNRELEASED)

So I'm not completely sure when this was made but I do think this is an older track that was unreleased and just finding the light of day.  It definitely has a 2005 type vibe to it or maybe even earlier.  It's still dope shit though and I never complain when I hear a "new" Nas joint.  I feel like there have been a lot of older Nas tracks releasing lately which is strange.  Does he have another "Lost Tapes" album coming out?   I wouldn't be mad at that...

J. Cole ft. Missy Elliott - "Nobody's Perfect" (NEW ISH)

More hot shit from my man J. Cole.  Once again, I still have yet to hear a bad track from this dude.  Very impressive.  Also, was that a Missy Elliott sighting?  Yes it was.  And she was pretty damn good too.

Where the hell has she been by the way?  I think she had some personal health issues or something like that so it's good to see her getting back in to the game.  I go back and forth on whether I like Missy's music because some of it is garbage while some of it is straight nasty. With her being gone for awhile, I think I actually missed her which I never would have said a few years ago.

She brings something cool to Hip Hop because she was one of the only chicks making dope beats while also being able to sing and rap.  She's a better singer than a rapper but she still has serious talent. She also helped paved the way for people like Nicki Minaj who are doing the same rapping/singing style these days.  I wouldn't be mad if Missy dropped a new album sometime in the future.

Domenik Hixon's Ridiculous Catch During Monday Night Football (SICK)

I didn't catch any of this game last night because I was too busy trying to get my fat ass up and down the court during old man pick up basketball.  I guess I missed one of the more ridiculous catches of the year when Domenik Hixon hauled this one in at the end of the 2nd quarter.

At first glance, I wanted to rip Eli for making another terrible throw but it wasn't really that bad after the replay.  It might have been a bit behind Hixon but it certainly wasn't the worst throw ever either.  If anything, Hixon should have probably caught the ball without bobbling it but it looks like his left armed got tied up with the defender.  Either way, that shit was sick and will probably end up being one of the best catches of the year.
