Ludacris - "My Chick Bad (Remix)" ft. Diamond, Trina & Eve (HOTNESS)

Eve just ripped the "My Chick Bad Remix" to shreds.  Trina and this Diamond chick sound like some amateurs compared to her. Why did Eve wait so long to get back in the game?  The female rapper is basically extinct at this point in the game so all she has to do is just release some new ish and it's a wrap.  She's the Queen of Hip Hop again.

She's one of the only female rappers that doesn't annoy the hell out of me after 2 or 3 songs and she can hang with almost any dude rapper bar for bar.  I've loved her ever since her Ruff Ryder days.  I would love to see her destroy these rap bitches with some new heat.  Let's hope she's working on some new material as we speak.  Get 'em girl!

Epic Attention Fail (IS THIS GUY DEAD?)

This is what you get for booking a half dead senior for a live talk show. There are 5 potential things going on here with the "Presidente" that first come to mind:

1) He just had a stroke and may or may not be dead
2) He's staring at the lights because he's on a pharmaceutical drug induced trip and he likes the pretty colors swirling around the dancing Teddy Bears
3) He's a really old robot running on Windows 95 and needs to be rebooted ASAP
4) He is really deep in thought and thinking about a powerful response
5) He's dreaming about banging the hot talk show host after the show (the most likely scenario)

The Chamillionaire/Michael Jordan Story (SEVERELY DISAPPOINTING)

Damn.  I don't want to believe this story about Michael Jordan is true but I have a feeling it is. This isn't the first time I've heard some negative/arrogant type shit about my main man, Michael Jordan either.  I kind of wish I never saw this because I am just bummed out now. When you finally realize your childhood heroes are not only just human but they are kind of assholes, it can be seriously soul crushing.

Chamillionaire seems like a fairly straightforward dude and he has no reason to lie since he was a huge fan of MJ himself. What do you think? I just don't want believe this...

Nike Air Classic BW & Air Max BW Gen II (VARIOUS COLORWAYS)

Photobucket
The Nike Air Classic BW has been around for years and could very easily be called the little brother to the Air Max 90. It doesn't get as much respect as the older AM90 but it still has a lot of the same DNA giving it a similar look and personality.
Photobucket
I have a pair of the all white Air Classic BW's for summer and they are one of the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned. They are also super versatile. Luckily, Nike is going to release a few more colors in the Black/Yellow-White above and the "Textile" White/Mirror-Charcoal below.
Photobucket
Photobucket
The Nike Air Classic BW is also getting an update in 2010 called the Air Max BW Gen II. The shoe looks very similar to the original but adds some new features including Nike's new Torch technology. The Torch material works to not only lighten the shoe, similar to Flywire, but it also aids in breathability. It's basically the X's below the mesh.

Here are a few colorways of the Air Max BW Gen II that have already been introduced:

KiD CuDi - "Soundtrack 2 My Life" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I'm glad KiD CuDi decided to put out an official video for "Soundtrack 2 My Life". It's one of my favorite tracks on the Man On The Moon: The End Of Day album and it's also one of the best.  The video is simply behind the scenes footage of his recent tour.  I wasn't expecting that at first since I feel like the trippy vibe of the song would allow for some really creative things but at the same time, CuDi's "soundtrack" is his own music and everything that goes along with it.  I guess tour footage kind of makes sense.

"Soundtrack 2 My Life" is one of those joints you can put on when you're in any kind of mood.  I think it makes the most sense when you are kind of mellow and chill but I've also found myself bangin' my head to this in the ride so I guess it works on all levels.  The beat is catchy as shit as it builds with that dark and choppy chord.  The hook is solid too with the CuDi's more than decent singing ability using minimal vocal effects.  It's just a quality joint all around.

People are still sleeping on CuDi's Man On The Moon: The End Of Day so if you don't have that yet, go get it ASAP.  You can thank me later.  Kid Cudi - Man On the Moon - The End of Day (Expanded Version)

Josh Selby - Best PG in Class of 2010? (SICK GAME)

This kid Josh Selby is sick with it! He's got a real nice overall game. it's not just dunks and highlight plays although he's got plenty of that too. It looks like he's got a sick handle, a nice jumper and some great passing ability to go along with his crazy athleticism and jumping ability.

Josh Selby is a 6'3" Guard out of Lake Clifton, MD. He is currently uncommitted but has narrowed his search to Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, and Connecticut.  Be on the lookout for Selby in the next couple of years. He could be legit.

Gus Johnson's Call of Xavier vs. Kansas State Double OT Game (EPIC GAME)

This call from Gus Johnson pretty much summarizes the entire Xavier vs. Kansas State game from last night. That was just insanity. By far one of the best college basketball games I've seen since that Syracuse vs. UConn 6 OT madness in the Big East Tournament last year.

I had zero personal interest in this game (especially since my brackets are already torn to shit) but my heart was racing like it was the Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals or something.  I couldn't get to sleep for a good hour after the game because my heart was still racing.

The Xavier players have balls made of steel not only taking but making all of those ridiculous shots and clutch free throws. They can't even be mad that they lost that game.  That is the literal definition of "leaving it all on the floor".  I'm not sure it's possible but hopefully at least one of the games tonight will be this exciting.

Reflection Eternal - "Strangers (Paranoid)" ft. Bun B & "In This World" (DOPE)

Aw shit! I thought I had heard about a Reflection Eternal reunion album awhile back but I kind of forgot about until just now.  The new album will be called Revolutions Per Minute and it's scheduled to drop on April 20th.  I can't wait to hear this album.  Hip Hop needs this!

"Strangers (Paranoid)" featuring Bun B is a really solid track.  It's got that signature sound that you expect from Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek with some added flavor from the Texas king, Bun B.  The first single "In This World" dropped a few weeks ago is dope as shit too.

Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek have worked together over the years from time to time but it never quite had the same effect as the original Train of Thought album from 2000.  If you are a Talib Kweli and/or Hi-Tek fan or just appreciate dope underground rap then you should download Train of Thought immediately or at least give it a listen.  It still holds up today even after 10 years.  I can't believe it's been that long.  Damn!

Fight Breaks Out Between 2 Clowns In A Texas Whataburger After Paul Wall & Chamillionaire Reunion Show (HILARIOUS)

This intro from "ya boy" C. Stone The Breadwinner is mad annoying but it's worth sitting through to get to the good stuff because this video is a classic. If you think the fat dude with a bunch of tats and a TapOut shirt is going to be the instigator in this fight, you would be right. But what happens after that is probably what you would least expect. That's some funny ass shit!

Josh Smith's Tip In Dunk At the Buzzer to Beat the Magic (PERFECT TIMING)

Talk about a crazy way to win a game. That was unreal! I feel like Josh Smith could do this any time he wanted too. He has some of the quickest hops in the L and his timing is impeccable. If you leave the ball anywhere near the rim, he is going to go get it.  Kid is a BEAST.

I think it was Stuart Scott on ESPN's halftime show that said "I've never seen anyone make a buzzer beating game winner on a tip-in dunk." I think he's right although Josh Smith himself came very close with a similar play back in November of this season. This one happened to have .7 seconds left on the clock though. Cool shit.

Rondo Messed Around and Got a Triple Double; C's Clinch Playoffs (PLUS RAY ALLEN's AJ XII PE's)

Rondo was killing it last night with a flurry of sick passes and highlight moves. My favorite was his behind the back pass to Tony Allen for the fast break dunk. Very nice.

He also had a nice triple double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists. He was point all game and completely controlled the game from the opening tip.  The C's officially clinched a playoff birth with the win.  They have been looking good the past few weeks and they seem to be clicking and getting healthy at just the right time.  That is definitely a good sign.

Celtics Sneaker News:
Ray Allen was spotted rockin' another sick Air Jordan XII PE, this time in the White/Green Colorway.  I wasn't able to find any up close pics of the exact version of the shoe but I did find a very similar one on OSneaker.com that Ray wore when he was with the Sonics.  The green is slightly brighter in the Celtics colors but you get the point.  These are some very hot kicks.  I wish Jordan Brand would release these because I think they would sell well, especially in the Boston area.

Stephon Marbury Hits 3 Deep Threes In A Row During CBA All Star Game (HE'S ON FIRE!)

Stephon might not be playing against the best competition in the world over in China but it looks like he has a little of his swagger back. He went off in the CBA All Star Game with 30 points and 10 assists and took home the MVP honors.

This is what you call a serious heat check.  It doesn't look like there is a ton of defense going on but who cares. No one is going to cover him that far from the hoop anyway.  The last two threes were probably about 35 feet deep. Absolute bombs! Don't expect to see Marbury back in the NBA but it's nice to see he's doing well overseas.

Nike Air Jordan VI Retro LA Lakers (DECENT)

I'm a little torn on these new Nike Air Jordan 6 VI Retro LA Lakers kicks. One one hand, the AJ VI is one of my favorite Jordan silhouettes so I can get down with almost any style colorway. On the other hand, this one is based on the NBA team that I hate the most, the LA Lakers.

I think the shoe itself is nice but I'm not completely sold on it because of a few details. I'm not a fan of the yellow and purple stitching throughout the shoe. It seems kind of random and the stitch just stops at one color and starts up with the other. I think it would have made more sense to have the top stitch be one color and the bottom stitch be the other. I really think the shoe would have been better off with just a white or black stitch but I guess that wouldn't give it the Lakers theme they were going for on this one.

The other thing I might have considered changing was the greyish 3M-like reflective material. I actually think the shoe would have been hotter if it there wasn't any black at all and just used this material.  It might just be me but I like my shoe to be mostly one main color and the reflective blackish grey looks really tight.  I think it could carry the shoe on it's own.

Either way, I still think this is a pretty dope shoe and would even consider buying them. It's hard for me to pass on the chance to own any Air Jordan VI since it's a true Jordan classic. No release date is currently set but there are a few sizes are currently available at RMKStore.com.

DAMN SON! Stoudemire just gave Anthony Tolliver nightmares for the next 6 months with that dunk. That was just disgusting. It also happened with 2:33 left in the game with the Suns down 3. That's what you call a serious momentum shift.

"NY-Z": An ABSOLUT Collaboration w/ Jay-Z (15 MINUTE SHORT FILM)

This is a dope 15 minute short film following Jay-Z during the time leading up to the release of The Blueprint 3 and his concert at Madison Square Garden. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little bit longer.  Good ish!

Rev Run's Son Diggy Simmons Signs to Atlantic Records (KID CAN FLOW)

Diggy - Made you look Freestyle (Flow Stoopid)

WOAH!!!  Diggy can spit?!?!  I was not expecting this! Holy shit!  I used to watch Run's House all the time and I never thought in a million years that little Diggy would ever flow this well.  He obviously has some great Hip Hop genes but I didn't realize he was this motivated to have a career in music.  Some kids of famous stars might mess around with music but most of them never take it this serious.

I had ZERO expectations but was pleasantly surprised as soon as I heard that first rhyme.  He has one of the cleanest and quickest flows that I've heard in a long time.  I don't even care that he is only 15.  Even though his voice is still changing, he still sounds mature beyond his years.  I usually don't mess with the young rappers but I don't even care this time.  I will definitely be on the lookout for more from Diggy Simmons.  Kid is legit!

I haven't even listened to his mixtape The First Flight all the way through yet but I'm going to post it up because I'm confident it's going to be on point.

Celtics Kicks - Nate Robinson Rocks the AJ VI Retro "Oreos" White/Black (FRESH)

Nate Robinson was rockin' some heat last night with the Air Jordan VI Retro White/Black colorway. These just dropped to retail recently so it's nice to see them getting some love on the court as well. This is one of those shoes that looks awesome on someone's feet or just sitting on a shelf.

I noticed them right away as soon as I turned on the game without even needing a closeup.  It's just one of those shoes that you can spot from anywhere because of it's unique style. I might have to cop a pair if I can get some extra money together. Once again, Jordan Brand is killing my wallet.

Notorious B.I.G.'s Pepsi and St. Ides Commercials (OLD SCHOOL)

I stumbled across this Biggie video randomly the other day. You can never go wrong with some old and rare Biggie verses, so hear you go. I don't even know what year this Pepsi commercial is from but I assume it was probably around 1994-1995 right when B.I.G. was blowing up but not quite at his peak. The crazies thing about it is that he absolutely crushed it on a radio ad talking about a freakin' soda!!! Are you kidding me? This is a perfect example of why this dude was arguable the greatest of all time. He always brought the heat and never half-assed one rhyme. "Call me evil, or unbelievable."

Even though it seems strange to hear one of the best rappers ever doing a radio spot, it was actually fairly common to hear the best rappers of the 90's like Wu Tang Clan, Ice Cube and Snoop jumping on a beat to do TV and radio commercials for products like St. Ides malt liquor.

B.I.G. absolutely crushed it on this one rapping over The Dogg Pound's "New York, New York" beat. SICK!

Here are a few of the other St. Ides ads I was able to find.  It's ridiculous how many sick rappers they were able to land for these spots.  Ah, the good old days!!!

Drake - "Shut It Down" ft. The-Dream (SOME R&B ISH)

I was expecting to hate this new Drake track "Shut It Down" but it's actually pretty damn good if you like real R&B. Even though Drake uses a heavy dose of Auto-Tune (which always pisses me off), I still found myself vibin' out to it. A lot of the comments on YouTube were saying that The Dream messed it up but I don't agree. I love everything he puts out and his sound was all over this. I don't know for sure but I would bet that he also produced the track.

"Shut It Down" is definitely not going to be for everyone but that's what makes Drake so interesting as an artist. He can drop a slow jam for the ladies and then hit you off with some lyrical heat on the next one. His fan base is pretty versatile because of that which means he will always be able to sell a ton of records. I can't even hate on the dude. He's got some skills.

Travis Barker & DJ A-Trak Live at the Roxy in LA (PLUS SXSW FOOTAGE)

Sick collaboration! Travis Barker has been making Hip Hop remixes for awhile now but now he is on the road doing shows with DJ A-Trak and the results are unbelievable. I wish I could see this show live because it looks like they are killing it out there.

I think the best thing Travis Barker ever did for this second phase of his career was doing those Hip Hop remix videos on YouTube. He has created a ton of new opportunities for himself and now he has a broader audience of fans because of it. I never would have thought I would be writing about Travis Barker a few years ago when he was the drummer for Blink-182 but now it doesn't even seem weird to talk about him and Hip Hop in the same sentence. It's funny how quickly things change.

B.o.B - "Nothing On You" ft. Bruno Mars (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

B.o.B.'s "Nothing On You" has been out for a little while now but the video just dropped the other day so I thought I would put it up since it's currently my favorite R&B flavored joint. This song is officially a hit now and is on constant rotation on Urban Radio and even a few pop stations.

I have a feeling this is going to be the biggest Hip Pop/Crossover hit of the year. It's got a sound that touches on multiple genres and it's just a super catchy song that the ladies love. I've heard it ad nauseum over the past few weeks but I'm not even close to being sick of it yet which is a great sign. This could be one of those joints that you can just continue to listen to no matter how many times you've heard it which is very rare these days.

Random NBA Ish - Steve Francis Picks His Nose; Josh Smith Touches Bibby a Little Too Much (FUNNY)

Ewwwww! Steve Francis is digging for some serious gold here. Wouldn't you assume that a camera would be on you quite a bit if you were a former NBA All-Star that was chillin' in the crowd during a freakin' Wizards game? I mean, there might literally be like 2,000 people at the most. It's not like he was hiding in the crowd at a Lakers game or something.

That must have been one of those hard boogs that hurt your nose and need to be picked ASAP. I think the corny cliche here would be "Great pick and roll".

This vid is a little more subtle but definitely funny. Josh Smith is touching Mike Bibby just a little too gently here to the point that it's just uncomfortable for everyone involved. WTF was he doing anyway? Bibby agreed it was creepy as shit because he responded with a "Get off me!!" or something to that effect. Pretty damn funny...

Throwback: Vermont Beats Syracuse in 2005 NCAA Tournament (DROPPIN' BOMBS)

One of the most anticipated matchups for Day 2 of the 2010 NCAA Tournament (at least in the New England area) is #16 Vermont vs. #1 Syracuse which tips off tonight at 9:30 PM ET.  Anyone affiliated with UVM is all fired up because they might get the chance to relive this moment above from the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Germain Mopa-Njila and T.J. Sorrentine hit back-to-back threes in the final minutes of overtime as #13 Vermont upset #4 Syracuse 60-57 in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tourney.  T.J. Sorrentine took and hit one of the ballsiest shots I've ever seen in my life.  He was literally 10 feet behind the three point line and there was still about 8 seconds on the shot clock but he drained it like he was just shooting free throws in an open gym.  Just insane.

This was one of the best games I have ever seen in the first round of the tournament because it was a David and Goliath type situation.   A bunch of pale white kids with long hair from Vermont came out of nowhere and knocked out one of the top basketball programs in the country and completely took everyone by surprise.

Even though UVM is a #16 seed this year, there has been some rumblings that they got screwed with their seeding and should actually be closer to a 13 or 14 seed.  If that is the case, this might be one of the best chances that any #16 seed could finally beat a #1 seed in the tournament.  I'm expecting a good one tonight, especially since center Arinze Onuaku will be out with an injury.  If Vermont is draining threes like they can, this could be a very close game.

The Ivan Brothers Invade March Madness (FUNNY CAPITAL ONE COMMERCIALS)

I just saw these new Ivan Brothers commercials for the first time while watching the NCA Tournament. What an awesome idea!  Capital One finally made a commercial with those medieval guys that didn't suck.  Those ads were getting really stale and were ridiculously overplayed but they just totally revived the concept with these guys.

I love how they are still rockin' the animal fur boots and helmets on the court while they are throwing down nasty dunks on everyone. Classic!  I'm sure I'll be sick of these ads by the end of the day since they will probably play them non-stop the whole weekend but what can you do. I'll enjoy them for now.

Lloyd Banks - Beamer, Benz or Bentley Official Video (PLUS NISSAN, HONDA, CHEVY)

It's nice to see Lloyd Banks back at it and dropping another hit, finally. Dude disappeared for a minute but "Beamer, Benz or Bentley" should help get him back into the Hip Hop mainstream since this song is already on it's way to being a huge hit.

I think Banks needs to leave G-Unit since that crew and 50 Cent are basically considered a joke in Hip Hop circles these days. Being associated with that whole crew is bringing down his stock like a hot chick with a douchebag.  Basically, he needs to start hanging out with a different crowd if he wants to rejuvenate his career.

Linking up with Juelz Santana is a good start, although I think Santana might have actually stolen the spotlight on this one. Either way, this track is gonna be a monster. It's already taken over radio in the past week or two and I expect to hear it non-stop in the weeks to come.

Of course, there are already people dropping their own version of this joint over the instrumental.  Joell Ortiz created a sick remix called "Nissan, Honda, Chevy". This version might actually be better than the original because of the humor and the fact that more people can relate to it. Ortiz absolutely destroyed the beat too. It would have been better if they left off Jim Jones since that dude is garbage but even with him on it, it's a dope remix.

Adidas TS Supernatural Commander & Creator St. Patricks Day Edition (FRESH)

St. Patrick's Day always brings a ton of fresh green colorways and this year is no exception. Adidas is always a big participant in the custom holiday joints and they bring some heat with the adidas TS Supernatural Commander St. Patricks Day kicks.

Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett were spotted wearing these on Monday vs. the Pistons to go along with the St. Patrick's Day special uniforms that they wear all week long.  They will be wearing them again tonight when they play the Knicks at home.

Adidas also dropped a St. Patrick's Day colorway of the TS Supernatural Creator.  I'd assume a few of the Knicks might be rocking these as well as some other Adidas athletes across the league like Derick Rose on the Bulls.  I think the green kicks with shamrocks should only be worn by the Celtics but what can you do...

Boston Celtics St. Patrick's Day Kicks (SHAMROCKS & SHENANIGANS)

The Celtics already sported their special green St. Patrick's Day uniforms on Monday against the Pistons so we got a nice look at all of their special green and gold kicks too. There were some really nice colorways in the bunch but I think Ray Allen's were the craziest.  I would expect to see the same lineup of kicks on Wednesday night vs. the Knicks but I have a feeling Allen might have another trick up his sleeve.  He always has the best Air Jordan PE's and he might be saving some special heat for St. Patrick's Day.
