LES TWINS "Times Cop" in New York City (SICK MOVES)

I think I'm obsessed with the Yak Films YouTube Channel because I post at least one of their videos each week.  This one is from the nasty duo called Les Twins and they do not disappoint with this one.  I don't know how they were able to get the NYC Police to let them jump on and dance near their police car but it was definitely a cool addition to their performance in Times Square.  These two are nasty...

TOP 10 Dunks from the NBA Conference Finals

The bottom half of this Top 10 was kind of weak but I guess they were a little limited on their choices since they were down to the last 4 teams.  If this was just a Top 5 Dunks Video, it might have been a lot more effective but it was still pretty decent.  The I had already forgotten about some of these dunks but was quickly reminded how nasty the Taj Gibson, D. Rose and Durant dunks were.  SICK!

Dj Drama Ft. Fabolous, Roscoe Dash & Wiz Khalifa - "Oh My" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

"Oh My" is a hot new joint from Dj Drama featuring Fabolous, Roscoe Dash and Wiz Khalifa.  That's a nice combo of artists right there and it certainly flows well from verse to verse because their styles mesh well together.  Sometimes you just get a bunch of dudes thrown together that just don't fit and the changes from one artist to the next are jarring.  This one just works.  The video is real cool too with those crazy tunnel like special effects and of course, the fly ladies.  Nice.

Snoop Dogg Freestyles on the UK's Tim Westwood Show (NICE)

Here's a nice little freestyle session from Snoop during his recent appearance on the Tim Westwood Show in the UK.  Unlike most of these clowns these days, Snoop actually went off the top of the dome and freestyled for real instead of regurgitating some pre-written shit.  That's how you do it.  He really started getting into his flow during the last two minutes or so.  Very nice.

6'3" Nick Johnson's BallIsLife.com Mixtape (SICK HOPS)

I think it's safe to say that this dude loves reverse dunks, right?  Damn!  This kid Nick Johnson can throw down a reverse dunk from anywhere.  He does have some diversity to his dunking game though as he shows throughout the video.  I'm looking forward to seeing what this kid can do at Arizona next year.  Hopefully he gets some PT so he can make the highlight reels.  I see a few nasty dunks in his future.

5'8" Air Nigeria's Got Hops! 45 Inch Vertical (NASTY)

I love watching little dunkers with crazy hops like this dude Air Nigeria.  Everything looks so much better because they get so damn high off the ground just to put down a simple dunk.  When they throw down some nasty shit, you are completely amazed because it shouldn't be physically possible.  This dude looks like he has some short arms too so he has to really get up there.  He can almost hit his head on the rim too!  Unreal.

Thursday Throwbacks: The Beatnuts - "Watch Out Now"

I featured The Beatnuts with their classic "Off the Books" on a Thursday Throwbacks post almost two years ago.  I thought it was about time I featured them again since they are probably one of the most underrated rappers and producers in the industry.  They aren't exactly the most lyrical but they make some dope party joints and their beats have always been top notch and ridiculously unique because of their usage of insanely rare and random samples.

"Watch Out Now" is right up there with "Off The Books" as one of their best hits and it's probably the most recognizable, along with being the most commercially successful.  The beat was jacked by the Trackmasters for J. Lo's hit song "Jenny from the Block".  They were not compensated originally but have since received royalties.  The messed up part is that millions of people out there that think that J. Lo's version was an original beat and have no idea that The Beatnuts created it first.  I used to get so pissed because J. Lo ruined one of my favorite club tracks of all time to the point where I couldn't even listen to it without thinking of her awful version.  Luckily enough time has passed where I have gotten it out of my head.

The original sample is actually from a song called "Hi-Jack" by Enoch Light which was a decent hit in the 70's:

Best of Phantom: NBA Regular Season (SLOW MOTION FOR ME)

Y'all know by now that I love me some slow-mo Phantom videos so here is one more to help relive the NBA's regular season.  If you showed me these clips at regular speed, it would mean nothing and would be kind of boring but as always, everything looks cooler in slow motion so that's why this video is legit.  It was a little sad seeing my Celtics again because I was just starting to get over the second round loss to the Heat but I guess I have to deal with it.

And by the way, Juvenile's "Slow Motion" should be played in the background of every Phantom video...

Bad Meets Evil (aka Eminem and Royce Da 5'9") - "Fast Lane" & "Writer's Block" (DOPE)

Here's some ridiculously hot shit from Eminem and Royce Da 5'9".  In case you forgot, these two have done a bunch of tracks over the years (mostly around '97-'99) as the group Bad Meets Evil.  They had a falling out around 2000 and stopped recording together but everything is cool now and Royce even signed to Shady Records with his group Slaughterhouse. Expect some serious heat from them in the next few months as well.

Em and Royce are planning on releasing an EP called Hell: The Sequel on June 14th, 2011. I hope this is a sign of more to come with an eventual full album release because these two sound so good together.  It's like they are pushing each other to the next level on every verse because they want to outdo the other one.  So sick!

This new track "Writer's Block" is techincally Royce Da 5'9"s song but Eminem is on the hook.  This is just as sick as "Fast Lane" in my opinion.  These guys can't do any wrong when working together!

Here are a few of the classics they've made together over the years.  Definitely some hot shit.

Drake - "Dreams Money Can Buy" (NEW ISH)

I don't have time for a write up but this is some hot new shit from Drake.  Supposedly this is just a throwaway from the new album too so that is a good sign of things to come.

Derrick Rose: adidas adiZero Crazy Light Commercial - "What's in a Number" ft. Big Sean's "I Do It" (HOT)

You might have seen this new adidas ad featuring D. Rose during last night's game.  It's simple but effective.  I like how they make quick cuts between game highlights and D. Rose walking through the city of Chicago.  The beat is from Big Sean's "I Do It" and really pulls it all together.  Dope!

Bulls vs. Heat Game 4 OT Highlights (SICK D. ROSE DUNKS)

The Bulls had a Game 4 win within reach last night but they threw it away in OT.  D. Rose had a chance to win the game and the end of regulation but he chose to go with a jumper instead of driving and getting to the rim like he had all game.  I'm not sure why he did that but I'm sure he was drained by that point so it's kind of understandable.  He did get an open look so you can't really fault him but you knew if he didn't make that shot, the Heat were going to wake up in OT and pull out the win.

I really don't want to see the Heat make it to the Finals so I hope the Bulls can step it up back at home in Game 5.  Unfortunately, the refs are doing their best to ensure that the Heats make it to the next round.  It's getting a little ridiculous.

I know it doesn't help Bulls fans feel any better because they lost but D. Rose had some ridiculous highlight dunks and moves last night.  It's ridiculous how fast this guy is and how high he can jump. NASTY!

LeBron James Disses the Space Jam Crew (FUNNY)

Not only is this kind of funny but it's also pretty close to reality.  If LeBron James were picked to star in Space Jam 2, it would have to be written like this or else no one would believe it.  We all know he likes to take the easy way out and ride the coattails of someone else so they can do all of the heavy lifting.  He joined D-Wade and Bosh in Miami for that reason and in this hypothetical situation, he picked to play with the infinitely bigger and better MonStars. Sounds about right.

Napoleon Dynamite The Cartoon Coming to Fox (SWEET!)

I found this video completely by accident the other day.  I was a little upset I hadn't heard anything about this until now considering that Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite stupid comedies of all time.  I want to be excited but there is some serious potential for this to suck since there has been a long line of movies or shows that have been turned into cartoons that were just awful.  Luckily for this one, they have the entire original cast coming back to do the voices so that is HUGE.  Let's just hope the writing is solid as well.

I think these two YouTube commenter summed it up best:

  • It'll either be cack, and will run for 4 seasons, or will be absolutely brilliant but will be cancelled after 6 episodes.

  • Great, just as my "Vote for Pedro" shirt had just become ironic enough to wear again, you go and make it somewhat relevant again. Did you even think about hipsters, Fox? Did you?!?!?!

Blake Griffin Dunks Over a Tiger (RAGE COMMERCIAL)

I had never heard of the game RAGE until now so I guess this little commercial featuring Blake Griffin did its job.  I literally only watched it because of him but now I know about the game and could possibly consider purchasing it.  That's what you call "expanding your audience".  Well played, id Software.

The video itself wasn't even that funny but it was pretty cool to see Blake Griffin dunk over a tiger.  Now THAT is what he should have done during the dunk contest.  That car jump was weak...

"3-Way (The Golden Rule)" - Justin Timberlake, Andy Samberg and Lady Gaga (SNL DIGITAL SHORT)

Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg created another classic for Saturday's season finale of SNL.  There's nothing better than when they get dressed up in their Color Me Badd inspired 90's gear and create one of these awesome R&B slow jams.  They could literally release these as real songs and people would buy them.  It's better than a lot of the crap out there right now, that's for sure.  And is it just me or did Lady Gaga actually look kind of hot?  I never thought I'd say that in my lifetime.  Maybe she should switch to the 90's style full time.

There was also another funny clip from Saturday's episode of SNL featuring JT and Gaga, once again.  This one was a remake of JT's classic skit where he dresses up in some ridiculous mascot outfit for a local business.  I'm not sure it was the best one but "Liquorville" was still solid because of the list of songs he remade.  Good shit.

Mistah FAB - "Sneaker Head" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I think Mistah Fab's "Sneaker Head" is officially the DjRyB.com anthem.  It has a dope beat and it's all about what it's like to be a true Sneakerhead.  Perfect.  There were lots of nice kicks in the video too.  I could name them all but it would probably take me about 2 hours to dissect so I will just let you watch it and find your favorites.

I will say this though. Those Air Jordan XI Concords look like they are already yellowing on the icy sole and they are still in the box! Come on Jordan Brand! You must know a way to keep sick kicks from oxidizing by now. That shit ain't cool.

Kevin Durant Throws Down a Sick Dunk on Mavs and Posterizes Haywood (NASTY)

I hate these late starting games for the Mavs/Thunder series because I always end up falling asleep before the end of the 3rd quarter and usually miss some awesome play like this one.  There have been some really nice dunks in these playoffs and the best ones have actually come from the Conference Finals on both sides. It's been very entertaining in the first few games of each series to say the least.

Durant doesn't dunk very often but when he does, he seems to make sure everyone knows about it.  That dunk was a powerful Blake Griffin style jam because he literally threw it in the rim without really touching it. Haywood was dumb to even try and contest that and to make matters worse, he committed the foul which energized the Thunder for the rest of the game. He should have learned from the Timothy Mozgov incident earlier this year and just let Durant dunk it without getting posterized:

UPDATE: Here it is from every angle. So sick!!!

Maybach Music Group - " Play Your Part " - Rick Ross, Wale & Meek Mill (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I didn't even know the video for "Play Your Part" was out yet but I guess I never went looking for it so there you go.  I've been hearing this track more and more on Sirius so I decided to do a little digging today and stumbled upon it.  This is actually a pretty decent song and I'm really feeling the hook.  I guess the white dude is D.A. from Chester French?  I have no idea what that is but I feel like I've heard him before.

It seems like this Maybach Music Group album Self Made Vol. 1 is going to be pretty dope.  I wasn't too sure about it at first but I've heard at least 3 nice tracks from it so it might be worth a purchase next week on May 24th.

Crazy Stuntman Killing It Parkour Style (SICK)

This is kind of random but every once in awhile I'll come across something crazy like this that's worth a post.  This dude is NASTY!  I've seen guys doing this "parkour" style running around jumping off of buildings and shit but no one has the balls like this dude.  He set the video off with a bang when he did a back-flip on the edge of a multi-story building.  Or how about the one where he jumped on the cement beam hovering above the highway?  Dude is crazy!

Every time I see one of these videos, no matter how good, I still always think about that episode of The Office where Michael, Andy and Dwight do some "office parkour" and start cracking up.  So good.

Pusha T - "Blow" (NEW ISH)

Here's some new shit from Pusha T of the Clipse.  It's nothing groundbreaking but I'm a big fan of anything he puts out and I have nothing else ready to go so I thought I would put it up for your listening pleasure. Pusha is one of the few rappers that I don't seem to mind talking about the same shit over and over again.  Somehow he makes it interesting.

Lil Wayne ft. Rick Ross - "John" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

This is more of the same shit from Weezy and Rick Ross but it's decent enough.  I just wish they would diversify their beats a little bit more.  Everything is starting to sound EXACTLY the same from these dudes.  They need to stop relying so heavily on Lex Luger's beats.

There's a couple of things in this video that totally makes it worth watching though.  Here they are in no particular order:

1) Weezy rockin' a Sox hat (DOPE)
2) Rick Ross in the Air Jordan IX Cool Greys and Air Jordan 3's Cement Grey (NICE)
3) Rick Ross in a tricked out wheelchair with spinners while wearing a velour sweatsedo (HILARIOUS)
4) YouTube comment stating that Lil Wayne looks and sounds like Jar Jar Binks (AWESOME)

"The Great Fan Escape" - Astros Fan Runs on the Field and Somehow Gets Away (AWESOME)

I meant to post this up earlier in the week so you might have already seen it by now but it's still worth another look because it's pretty f'n awesome.  This is some funny shit.  I usually think that the drunk idiots that run on the field during a game are just attention seeking whores but in this case, this dude actually had a plan and pulled it off to perfection so I have to give him some props.  This is one of the few instances in baseball where the drunk fan actually got away.  Impressive.

On top of getting away, this guy had the balls to run on the field in the bottom of the 9th while Carlos Lee had a chance to tie the game.  Maybe he was a fan of the other team because that seems like a dumb thing to do if you are rooting for the Astros buy maybe he was thinking he would disrupt the opposing pitcher.  Who knows. If you are going to pull these shenanigans though, you better have an escape route and this dude certainly did. That was just awesome. Unfortunately, there will probably be a ton of copycats in the future.  I'm sure the Astros security team will have a new plan in place, effective immediately.  I wouldn't recommend trying this any time soon in Houston if you are a drunktard...

Wale, Rick Ross & Jeremih - "That Way" (NEW ISH)

I wasn't expecting much when this song fell into my inbox this morning because of the fact that anything Rick Ross has been affiliated with lately has sounded exactly the same but this joint is actually real tight.  I think Wale brings some much needed versatility to the Maybach Music Group roster.  If the album sounds anything like this, I might actually think about picking up the new Self Made Vol. 1 album. This is a banger.

E-40 Ft. Slim Thug & Bun B - "That Candy Paint" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

This is another post that actually went up late last week but disappeared from the site.  WTF.  Not cool, man.  Anyway, I think I said that this is my shit right now.  There aren't many great songs out right now but I think this is the start of a wave of new hot joints that are going to be released soon in time for summer.  This is that summer riding type of song that's just laid back and smooth.  I could see myself bumpin' this in the ride for the next couple of months as the weather starts to heat up.  Dope shit.

Another New Era Commercial w/ Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski - "One Hitter" (DECENT)

This is the second commercial from New Era Caps featuring Alec Baldwin and John Krasinksi aka Jim from The Office.  This one is pretty good although it still seems a little forced like the first one. Also, I just realized that Baldwin is not wearing a hat in either of these videos.  Um, shouldn't that be mandatory for a hat company's commercial or viral video?  I know your hair is all perfect and shit, Alec but it would be nice if you at least tried to act like the common fan and actually wore a hat for a few minutes...

Game ft. Lil Wayne - "Red Nation" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

This is the first of two posts that I actually put up last week but were deleted because Blogger was down for a couple of days.  Weak shit.  I don't really remember what I wrote so I guess I'll just start over.

I'm feeling this new "Red Nation" joint from Game.  The verses from Game and Lil Wayne are solid but it's all about the beat and hook on this song.  If you couldn't tell, they took a piece of Kernkraft 400's house classic "Zombie Nation" and flipped it to make it kind of hard.  I never thought anyone could make that song cool enough to be used in a Hip Hop song but this one works really well.

This reminded me a lot of Wiz Khalifa's "Say Yeah" that tweaked a sample from Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone".  I have a feeling we will keep hearing samples from dance songs for awhile since the two genres have crossed over quite a bit in the past few years.  As long as it doesn't get too played out or overdone, I can get down with it.

Taj Gibson Throws Down 2 Nasty Dunks Against the Heat (DIESEL)

I didn't get to watch the end of Game 1 of the Heat/Bulls series last night because I fell asleep and I'm a little pissed at myself now because I missed these two nasty dunks from Taj Gibson.  The first one above is probably the best of the two because he not only elevated super high for the "and 1" dunk but he also did it right in D-Wade's grill and completely demoralized the Heat in the process.  Love it!

The second dunk is almost as nasty though.  That was much more than a putback dunk.  Dude caught it behind his head and windmilled it down with authority.  Who knew Taj Gibson had this in him?  So sick.  I love that the Bulls destroyed the Heat too.  I think the Heat just realized how difficult it is going to be to win this series.  And by the way, I am officially rooting for the Bulls to beat those clowns...

UPDATE: Here's the super slow-mo Phantom cam of Gibson's dunk on Wade. I might just play this on repeat for the rest of the day. Nasty!

Beastie Boys - "Make Some Noise" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Now that's how you do it right there!  The Beastie Boys have been gone for awhile but they are back in full effect with this video for "Make Some Noise".  It's got that perfect old school Beastie's sound that makes you instantly think of Check Your Head, Ill Communication and Hello Nasty.  I'm not even going to try and name all of the celebrities that make an appearance in the video but you don't have to look too hard because they are everywhere.  I will say that Danny McBride aka Kenny Powers killed it playing the MCA role from the original "Fight For Your Right" video.  The whole video was on point.

The new album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two is equally dope and is their best album in years.  I listened to it all the way through and didn't even think about fast forwarding through one track.  Even though they are all new songs, it felt like I had heard them before but in a good way.  They went back to what they do best which all true Beastie Boys fans will appreciate.  I highly recommend purchasing the album ASAP.  You won't be disappointed.

6'5 Shaquille Johnson Posterizes Some Dude (NASTY)

DAMN!  This kid Shaquille Johnson has some serious hops.  He cocked the hammer way back on that one.  NASTY!  He was probably named after Shaq but he should have been named after someone like Vince Carter or something because he has that type of athleticism.

The best part was that he waited for the dude to catch up to him on the break just so he could give him the posterization.  Ridiculous.

Slow-Mo Dunks from Derrick Rose, Josh Smith & Russell Westbrook (PHANTOM)

I don't know for sure but I assume all of these slow-mo NBA vids are labeled Phantom because that is the type of camera or effect being used?  I don't know.  No matter what, it's definitely some cool shit and I can't get enough of them.  It just makes you appreciate the athleticism of these guys even more than in full speed.

The video above with both Derrick Rose's and Josh Smith's dunks from last night's game was pretty dope.  J. Smoove obviously won that battle but Rose's dunk still looked nasty getting that high off the ground and cocking it back like that.  I didn't even notice that Noah was holding Smith's hand to try and pull him down until this slow-mo so there's another bonus for you.  Here it is at regular speed.

This one below is from the Thunder/Grizzlies game from the other night.  Russell Westbrook has one of the best signature tomahawk jams in the league.  Dude brings it back deep and throws it down with authority.  It's a nice combination of style and power, similar to Dominique Wilkins back in the day.

Thursday Throwbacks: Westside Connection - "Gangsta Nation"

I came across "Gangsta Nation" the other day for the first time in awhile so I thought I would throw it up.  This is still a hot joint.  "Consider this an invitation...to my gangsta nation!"

Ace Hood Ft. Rick Ross & Lil Wayne - "Hustle Hard Remix" (OFFICIAL VIDEO?)

I don't even know if this is the final version of the video for the "Hustle Hard Remix" because the other one I found got pulled and this one looks super random with all that shit in the back but I guess it's good enough for now.  I've been hearing this song a lot on Sirius Radio and it's definitely starting to grow on me.  Ace Hood is one of those dudes that flies under the radar for some reason but he makes some nice hits.  He has a style that doesn't work for everyone but I'm definitely a fan.  It doesn't hurt having Rick Ross and Lil Wayne on the remix either...

Hitler Reacts To The Lakers Being Swept By The Mavericks (FUNNY)

I know these Hitler videos are kind of wrong but I can't seem to get enough of them.  This one is nice and timely too.  Hitler thinks the Lakers have a good shot of beating either the Bulls or Heat as he looks forward to the NBA Finals.  He seems to be confident that they have a chance at a 3rd title in a row until he is informed by one of his henchmen that the Lakers were swept by the Mavericks.  Chaos then ensues.  Love it!

China's Got Talent: 65 Year Old Woman Does a Michael Jackson Tribute (DECENT)

Mad props to this lady for pulling off a decent Michael Jackson impersonation on China's Got Talent.  Yeah, it was exactly perfect or the best one I've ever seen but it takes some guts to get on TV and potentially make a fool of yourself.  For someone her age, she did a pretty good job.  I've seen a lot worse!

Highlights from Game 4 of the Thunder vs. Grizzlies

I only got to watch the first 3 quarters of this game last night because it was getting late and I basically passed out from exhaustion after being at a disappointing Game 4 of the Celtics/Heat series but I wish I was able to stay up for the whole thing because it looks like it was an insane finish.  The game went 3 overtimes which is crazy for a playoff game.

The best play was when Greivis Vasquez drained a tough three to put the game into double OT.  No one was expecting that to go in and he almost got the foul while he was at it.  Sick!

It's too bad they lost the game in the end but it ws still a great effort. Now the series is tied at 2-2 instead of the Grizzlies being up 3-1 which would have been unreal. I don't even care which team advances because they are both fun to watch but I hope the series goes at least 7 games so we get the most out of this match up. Both teams have former Celtics on their squad so I could go either way. I'm sure I will be rooting for one of these teams sooner than later based on the Celtics performance last night. Ugh. This is not looking good.

Pitbull ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer - "Give Me Everything" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

I know this song might not be for everybody but I'm kind of feeling it and that's all that really matters.  It sounds just like every other Dance/Hip Hop/Pop collabo out there these days but that doesn't mean it's not a good song.  It's got just enough of it's own flavor to make it interesting and separate it from the rest.  Not bad.

Slow- Mo Highlights of Boston vs. Miami Game 3 (COOL)

I love these high quality slow motion highlight videos that the NBA puts out on YouTube.  It makes everything more dramatic and you appreciate the plays a lot more.  This one they put together for Game 3 of the Boston vs. Miami series was a great one.  There were a lot of nice plays that you get to take a second look at as well as a new look at the Rondo/Wade incident.

As you know by now, Wade blatantly dragged Rondo down to the ground causing him to dislocate his elbow and everyone thought he was done for the season.  It was even more dramatic in this slow-mo video because of the depressing music.  It's kind of cool how it slows down during the play and then picks back up as Rondo makes his triumphant return and the C's close out the win.

That was a huge win for the C's since they showed the Heat that they haven't given up and aren't backing down.  In a weird way, the Rondo play was actually one of the best things to happen to the Celtics.  They rallied around Rondo and are now out for blood.  They were completely asleep in Games 1 & 2 but the Heat have no awoken the sleeping giant and I think the C's are going to go on a roll for the next couple of days.

I don't think these clowns are ready for what's about to hit them in Game 4. Bosh already admitted he was nervous in Game 3 and it affected his play.  Just wait until he sees what this crowd is like tonight when everyone is calling for their heads.  On top of that, the Celtics have some extra bulletin board material to motivate them even more.  I'm lucky enough to have tickets to the game and I fully intend to let the venom spew and let these bitches have it.  They won't be able to hear themselves think.

Orioles Pitcher Jeremy Guthrie Has a Sneaker Vault in his House (SICK)

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
So sick!  I wish I had a few million dollars to throw around like the Orioles Jeremy Guthrie because I NEED a sneaker vault like this.  Right now, I have a small sneaker closet but it's a little cramped and certainly not this cool.  It's pretty cool to have an awesome walk in closet dedicated to just your sneaker collection but it's even better when you can use an actual bank vault door to secure it.  Nasty!  He's got some nice kicks and a great presentation.  I am ridiculously jealous...

Birdman Ft. Lil Wayne, T-Pain & Mack Maine - "I Get Money" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

"I Get Money" is more of the same from Birdman and the Cash Money crew.  I don't know whether to be pissed or not.  You can get mad at artists for putting out the same shit all the time but at least they are consistent.  Any time an artist or group has a following and they go off the track and try something new, fans usually flip out so I guess Birdman is just trying to keep everyone happy.  The beat is pretty dope, the hook is solid and the rhymes are the same old braggadocios shit about money and cars but once again, it's what we've come to expect.  I guess it works...

Please Help Stop Elderly Abuse! Celtics Diss Video (WEAK)

I'm not gonna lie, the concept is kind of funny and the execution was decent but I think it's kind of ballsy to put together a video talking this much shit when all the Heat did was win Games 1 & 2 at HOME.  You are supposed to win both games at home.  If they did drop one to the C's then you would all be shook but you suddenly you have balls because you are up 2-0?!?!?  Maybe this would be warranted if the series was already 3-0 but y'all need to relax.

Get back to me when they actually win a game in Boston and then maybe you can put together a part 2 of the video.  But until then, keep it to yourself Heat fans.  You can't even show up to playoff games on time. You have to put white sheets on all of your seats to make it look like the fans are full.  Shit is pathetic.  You are in for a rude awakening on Saturday night.

What Obama Really Wanted To Say About Bin Laden! Hood Version (FUNNY)

I'm not going to say anything other than that's "real talk".

This one is pretty good too.

Cameraman Gets Drilled By A Nashville Predator During Intros (FUNNY)

Here's a simple but funny video to start the morning off.  As you know, I'm not a hockey guy but I can appreciate when something cool happens.  In this instance, it's not really cool as much as it is funny because someone just got drilled and knocked on their ass.  Call it Jackass humor if you want but I always laugh my ass off when something like this happens.  Other people's pain is my enjoyment.

Thursday Throwbacks: Wu Tang Clan - "Triumph"

Although there might be a few other Wu Tang tracks that I would put ahead of "Triumph" for their "Best Of" list, it would be hard to find a better all around video.  The special effects were pretty crazy for the time and it's one of the few songs that they were able to get the whole crew to spit on.  It's definitely a classic.

This shit still bangs hard to this day too.  The Wu's lyrical artistry was ridiculous.  There is no way a group like this could get radio play these days.  They are too intelligent for these new school dummies.  WTF has happened to Hip Hop, man?  This makes the new shit of today sound like nursery rhymes.  It's getting pathetic.

Tokyo All Stars | YAK FILMS | New Jack Swing Brothers JAPAN (COOL 90's VIBE)

I first caught a few videos from Yak Films a couple of months ago and I've been addicted ever since.  They upload new videos pretty regularly and they are all pretty solid.  I've posted quite a few already and will continue to do so as they come in.

This new one above featuring the Tokyo All Stars is pretty sick.  The dancing is solid but it's even better because of the 90's vibe.  These dudes are rockin' high top fades like Kid N' Play and have the style to match.  They even rocked some baggy Hammer pants!  Unreal.  I really hope this style comes back to the US sometime soon.  That would make my f'n day.  Japan always seems to be ahead of the curve in fashion and style these days so I could easily see that happening.  If it does, I'll break out my UNLV Starter jacket and hat to match and be pimpin' like it's 1990 all over again...

Cyssero - "Larry Bird" (DECENT TRACK)

I wouldn't say I'm completely sold on this dude Cyssero but he caught my attention with this video by rockin' all Celtics jerseys and naming the song "Larry Bird".  I'll pretty much give anyone a few seconds of my time if they are reppin' the C's in some way.

Now if only the Celtics could get someone like Larry Bird to help them beat the Heat right now.  Even an old LB standing outside the three point line all day draining jumpers would be better than what they've done in the first two games.  Ugh...

T-Pain - "You Copying Me" (NEW ISH)

I'm not really sure what to think about this song.  I go back and forth on T-Pain in general.  He makes some good radio hits but at the same time, his shit gets repetitive and annoying.  The thing is, this song is completely different than his normal style because he's only rappin' and not singing at all.  He started out as a rapper first and he will drop 16 bars once in awhile so it's not so crazy but it still throws you for a loop once in awhile.

As much as this song is kind of cheesy and a little strange, I actually kind of like it.  I have no idea why but it caught my attention for more than 15 seconds so I guess it's decent enough.  That's pretty much all I give songs these days.  If you don't have my attention in 15-30 seconds then I'm out.  It's sad but true...

Invitation to the ShoeZeum (FINALLY)

Ah!  Now it all makes sense.  I was wondering why I couldn't find out how to visit the ShoeZeum. Now I know the opportunity wasn't available.  Now the owner is offering up a tour of this masterpiece through an auction on eBay.  I know I said I would pay a decent amount to see this place but I'm not paying $200+ which is what the current bid is.  I'm all set with that.

I think this guy is missing out on a huge opportunity to make money off of sneakerheads though.  If he opened it up like a real museum, he could charge about $20 a head and make some nice money.  We will have to wait and see if he ever does that.  I'll just stick to watching the videos for now.

Cute White Chick Covers "6 Foot 7 Foot" and "Look At Me Now" with Some Creativity (IMPRESSIVE)

I don't know about you but I think I like Karmin's version of Lil Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot" better than the original.  At least I can actually understand her which cannot be said for Weezy.  Dude is a mumble mouth mofo and his high pitched whining doesn't help the cause.  He should take some pointers from this broad.

Karmin also destroyed Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now".  I know there are a bunch of videos of people spitting Busta's flow so it's getting a little old but no one did it this creatively and on top of that, she's pretty f'n hot.  I think that counts for some extra points.

If you want to see more, check her out at KarminCovers on YouTube.

Jordan Phase 23 Hoops Ray Allen and Joe Johnson Home and Away PEs (NOT BAD)

Photobucket
I'm usually not a fan of the new styles that Jordan Brand has been putting out lately but every so often they find one that works.  The Jordan Phase 23 Hoops is one of those silhouettes that I could see myself wearing to ball in and maybe even rock casually once in awhile.

I'm still not totally sold on the entire look of the shoe but I have to admit that these 4 different colorways that were made for Ray Allen and Joe Johnson are pretty damn fresh.  I think it's the materials they used that really make them stick out.  They seem to be of a higher quality than most of the non-retros they've been releasing which really helps.  Take a look at some more pics below.  Would you rock these?

Lupe Fiasco ft. Skylar Grey - "Words I Never Said" (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Here's the new video for Lupe's "Words I Never Said" off of the Lasers album.  It's not my favorite song on the album but it's definitely some poignant shit.  After watching the video, it all came together a little more clearly and I'm coming around on it.

Once again, Lupe decided he'd rather make people think and put out something heartfelt instead of just trying to sell a million albums.  You gotta respect the kid for his morals and overall artistry.  He makes music for himself, first and foremost which is what an artist should do.  Unfortunately, too many get caught in the machine of the record labels.  They only see dollar signs and end up making that homogeneous manufactured shit.

Check the lyrics below.  That's some deep shit:

[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said
[Lupe Fiasco]
I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a full clip
9/11 building 7 did they really pull it
Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups
Your childs future was the first to go with budget cuts
If you think that hurts then, wait here comes the uppercut
The school was garbage in the first place, thats on the up and up
Keep you at the bottom but tease you with the uppercrust
You get it then they move you so you never keeping up enough
If you turn on TV all you see’s a bunch of “what the f-cks”
Dude is dating so and so blabbering bout such and such
And that aint Jersey Shore, homie thats the news
And these the same people that supposed to be telling us the truth
Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist
Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit
Thats why I aint vote for him, next one either
I’ma part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful
And I believe in the people.
[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said
I can’t take back the words I never said
[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 2]
Now you can say it aint our fault if we never heard it
But if we know better than we probably deserve it
Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship?
Murdering is not Islam!
And you are not observant
And you are not a muslim
Israel don’t take my side cause look how far you’ve pushed them
Walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the Kush went
Complain about the liquor store but what you drinking liquor for?
Complain about the gloom but when’d you pick a broom up?
Just listening to Pac aint gone make it stop
A rebel in your thoughts, aint gon make it halt
If you don’t become an actor you’ll never be a factor
Pills with million side effects
Take em when the pains felt
Wash them down with Diet soda!
Killin off your brain cells
Crooked banks around the World
Would gladly give a loan today
So if you ever miss payment
They can take your home away!
[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said, never said
I can’t take back the words I never said
[Lupe Fiasco - Verse 3]
I think that all the silence is worse than all the violence
Fear is such a weak emotion thats why I despise it
We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth
So scared of what you think of me, I’m scared of even telling you
Sometimes I’m like the only person I feel safe to tell it to
I’m locked inside a cell in me, I know that there’s a jail in you
Consider this your bailing out, so take a breath, inhale a few
My screams is finally getting free, my thoughts is finally yelling through
[Skylar Grey]
It’s so loud Inside my head
With words that I should have said!
As I drown in my regrets
I can’t take back the words I never said

The Lonely Island Feat. Snoop Dogg - "Turtleneck & Chain" (FUNNY & DECENT)

Is it sad that spoof Hip Hop songs like this new one from The Lonely Island (SNL's Andy Samberg's group of "I'm on a Boat" fame) are actually sounding as good or better than the "real" crap that is put out there lately? I almost can't tell the difference between what's a joke and what's real anymore. It's kind of sad but what can you do. I mean if you didn't know who was making this song, you might actually just go along with it like it's some regular shit.

I mean, Gucci Mane has produced a hell of a lot worse.  Remember that awful song "Lemonade"?  Worst shit ever:
