Hate it or Love It? - Prince Fielder's Game Winning "Explosion" Celebration
On one hand, it was pretty cool that Fielder hit a game winning HR. Whenever that happens, it's always exciting, no matter what the circumstances. I don't know when he planned this routine but it would be cool as hell if he called his shot before he got up to bat and told them all to be ready with the "nuclear explosion" celebration at home plate. It definitely seems like the team has great chemistry and is having fun which is a tough thing to find in the pros these days.
On the other hand, it's a little corny (maybe even disrespectful for the baseball purists) and completely unnecessary considering the Brewers SUCK. They are currently 15 games behind the Cardinals and 4th place in the National League Central division. Maybe the Brewers should work on your play on the field instead of choreographing routines at home plate on the off chance you might actually hit a game winning HR. I don't know. it's just a thought.
What do you think? Is this the beginning of a terrible trend?
