New Jay-Z - "Brooklyn We Go Hard" ft. Santogold (FREE DOWNLOAD)
Here's a dope new track from Jay-Z featuring Santogold called "Brooklyn We Go Hard". This is definitely a catchy and hypnotizing track with the "Brooklyn We Go Hard" sample looped over and over again as part of the beat. Although that could get annoying after awhile, I think you will start to block it out after the first few listens. That just threw me off a bit at first.
The song also has that M.I.A. "Paper Planes" and "Swagger Like Us" feel to it because of the similarities with Santogold's voice and delivery. If everyone continues to bite this style over and over again like the vocoder, it could definitely lose it's appeal but for now, it's still fresh and original. We'll see how long that lasts.
I'm definitely looking forward to The BluePrint 3 whenever it actually drops. With all of these new Jay-Z singles leaking on a regular basis, I am sure it's on the way in the next few months. Right now it sounds like February 2009 is the target.
