Air Jordan Team 2.5 Hybrid Kicks
Here is yet another hybrid from Jordan Brand which combines the Air Jordan 2 and 3. Here are the deets:
"The Air Jordan Team 2.5 contains the Air Jordan 3 sole, tongue, heel tab, and the Jordan 2 Wings logo, mid section, and toe box. Also added is a exposed air unit towards the heel."
I'm a little torn on these because I absolutely love the style and colorways of the AJ 3 but I have never been a big fan of the AJ 2 because of it's bulkiness and lack of style. I think a combination of the AJ 3 and 4 would be one of the best joints of all time but I have a feeling they will never do that because of the similarities between the two but who knows. I can only hope.
The 2.5 hybrid looks more like a boot than a sneaker like the Nike Air Max 90 Boot. I feel like these would be dope for rockin' around the city in the fall but I don't think I would be willing to get on the court with them or wear them in the spring/summer because of their bulkiness. I like the idea but I don't like the final execution.
If these were affordable, I would definitely cop a pair just to kick around in but they will most likely be around $130-$150 based on past hybrid pricing. I wasn't able to find a release date but I assume it will be at some point in early 2009 if there are pictures of both colorways already available.
