"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" Posters Cause a Ruckus With Lame People

Photobucket
This is probably one of the best movie posters I have ever seen but chances are you have never seen it before and never will again.  It turns out that even though you don't really see the heads down below until you take a second look, this is still too graphic to use in public.  Seriously?  It took me at least 3 or 4 looks to even figure what was going on.  I thought it was really clever and funny as hell!

I saw this article about this ad being banned in the USA more than a month ago before ads even started running for "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" and before I had ever heard of the movie.  It turns out that Canada is a lot cooler than us because they have no problems with it.  I never thought I would type that sentence in my life.  The Canucks just proved that we are a country of wusses and sissies and we need to lighten up because things like this are just not that big of a deal to them.  Wow.

Move forward a few weeks and there are a ton of articles about people starting to lose their minds about having the word PORNO on a poster.  Really?  I see a lot more absurd things in TV and print ads every day with almost naked chick holding strategically placed products or other ads for horror flicks using bloody and violent images.  How is the word porno in TEXT worse than those two examples?  There are just some ridiculous double standards in our society.

They were also trying to stick this movie with an NC-17 rating which is the box office kiss of death but it sounds like there isn't even that much nudity or sex in the movie.  WTF!  Kevin Smith and the studio must be pumped about all of this negative press because all of these articles and incidents are promoting the movie for free.  "Any press is good press" definitely works in this instance.  All of this garbage is just going to make people want to see the movie that much more!

It all comes down to these super conservative people not wanting to talk to their kids about things that they are uncomfortable about, in my opinion.  People would rather boycott a movie or complain on the news because of something stupid like this instead of just dealing with the issue at hand.  If your child happens to ask you what porno means you either tell them what it is or you just say that they are too young to know what it means.  Really, it's not that hard.  We need to stop being an uptight society or we are going to be living in a glass bubble pretty soon.  Other countries laugh at us because we are so sensitive about some of the dumbest things but we have no problem dropping bombs on people or invading other countries.

What's the F'n deal, man?  I HATE shit like this.  We need to grow a sack as a country again or we are screwed.
