T-Pain Gets PWNED by His Vocoder

See more T-Pain videos at Funny or Die

This isn't exactly the funniest video I've ever seen but you have to appreciate the fact that T-Pain can make fun of himself and the fact that his Vocoder completely OWNS his ass.  Without that thing, he would be working at McDonald's because he can't sing or rap very well.  I have to admit that I celebrate his entire catalog but that's besides the point here...

I still can't get over the fact that he single-handedly resurrected this Auto-Tune/Vocoder sound that EVERYONE an and their baby mama is using in the Hip Hop game these days.  At least that is his style and he wasn't really biting on anyone when he started but I don't know how much longer I can handle this "sound".  Can we all agree that only T-Pain can use the vocoder from this point forward?

And I hope you don't think he was the first to use the vocoder sound because it's been used by everyone from Pink Floyd to Kraftwerk all the way back to the 70's.  Roger Troutman was the artist who really made it his trademark and definitely had a huge influence on everyone in Hip Hop that has used it since.  Some of the young bucks out there probably don't know nothing about that though.

How is no one sick of this shit yet?  It was old like 2 years ago but it's still going strong and there is no end in sight.  Please try something new!  WTF!  If you can't sing, don't sing.  It's as simple as that.  If you need to use a special machine to even come close to sounding decent, you should probably change careers.  This thing is like music industry crack because as soon as someone uses it, they are addicted to this shit forever.  It's like a plague that keeps creeping through the music industry and won't stop until every single artist has used it on their new single.  Pretty soon we are going to see Willie Nelson or Celine Dion rockin' out with the Vocoder effect on some wack ass remix or something.

Please make it stop!  I can't handle this garbage anymore!
