Red Sox ALCS Preview - Game 1 Tonight
Who would have ever predicted the Tampa Bay (Deal With The Devil) Rays would be facing the Red Sox in the ALCS as the AL East Champs for the 2008 season? Just when you thought the Rays would collapse due to inexperience this year, they just kept it moving and acted like they had been there before. They have some serious talent on this team and they are going to be tough for seasons to come as they build off of this playoff experience.
Everyone realizes by now that this team is for real and they can beat anyone in a seven game series. They won 10 of 18 games against the Sox and always seemed to give them trouble at the worst possible times. The Sox would get within a few games of the AL East lead and then would get knocked down after a few quick losses to the Rays. They just couldn't catch up.
Don't forget that there is some serious bad blood with these two teams because of the fight earlier this season but this goes back almost 5 years to the days of when Pedro would just hit everyone in site on their team for fun. This should be interesting. Big game tonight!
