If you're a Celtics fan and a Sneakerhead like myself, then you already know that we received a preview of Kevin Garnett's new Adidas signature shoe, the TS Commander, last June during the NBA Finals.  They weren't supposed to be released until this October but Adidas decided to make a limited edition version for KG to wear during the Finals with a picture of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy on the inside portion of the shoe.  Here are some more deets:

- Only 8 pairs per game produced, each pair size 15, just like KG wears
- Each shoe is adorned with KG's personal tribute to pals Malik Sealy and Kirby Puckett
- 100% of all net proceeds are donated to NBA Cares community partners in the Boston area
- $1017 SRP commemorates the Celtics' drive for Banner #17!

They actually put out another limited run just a few weeks ago in which you could bid on a few more pairs of the Finals version to give you a second chance at that super limited dopeness.

Continuing with the super limited kicks and charity theme that has worked so well, Adidas has now released a signed version of the TS Commander that Garnett wore last night during the banner raising ceremony and game 1 of the '08-'09 NBA season.  Here's the breakdown from Celtics.com:

"Created to commemorate Garnett's first NBA Championship, only 17 pairs of the personalized shoes were made – the same number of Boston Celtics NBA Championships – allowing only a handful of fans to follow in Garnett's footsteps.

The commemorative shoe is white, gold, and green, inspired by team colors and the Larry O'Brien Championship trophy. Featuring a silhouette of Garnett on the side and gold accents throughout, the shoe design comprises Garnett's personal touches including embroidery of his fan-given nickname Champ. The insole includes dates and scores of each 2008 Finals game along with the 2008 Champions logo. The shoes also feature KG's constant tribute to two close friends and mentors, Malik Sealy and Kirby Puckett.

The proceeds from the sale of this shoe will benefit the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, the Boston-based charity committed to providing healthcare, shelter and vital services for children in need."

Below are pics of the new colorway and version that you can bid on right now at Celtics.com.  This version comes complete with KG's autograph as well, which makes it that much more of a collector's item.  All versions and colorways of this shoe are absolute fire and I wish I could afford the steep starting bid price.  I don't exactly have $1,017 laying around but I wish I did.  Click on some ads while you're here so I can afford a pair!  Ha ha.  No seriously...
