Reebok Pump Omni Hexride - John Cena Custom Edition (DjRyB.com EXCLUSIVE)
You are now looking at the super rare and exclusive Reebok Pump Omni Hexride sneakers that were custom made for WWE wrestler John Cena. Reebok was trying to sign a shoe deal with Cena so they made these crazy looking camouflage joints to try and get him on board.
I don't know the details of why the deal didn't go through but luckily Reebok made a few samples and I was able to score a pair of the custom shoes. I even got my size 13's so I can rock them if I want but I am pretty sure I will be putting these on ice for a long time if not forever. These are just too rare and unique to be wearing around. They are also a little obnoxious but they are so ugly that they are almost good looking.
If you are a wrestling fan, you've probably noticed Cena always wears basketball kicks in the ring. He's been spotted in various Reebok Pumps, Nike and Jordan Brand kicks. I believe he just recently signed a deal with Under Armour but was unable to confirm other than in a few Yahoo! Answers and Cha Cha posts. Here are a few kicks related pics I was able to find:
There are some great Cena specific details on these custom joints such as the American Flag on the side and tongue, as well as his "Hustle. Loyalty. Respect" tag line on the back heel. I'm kind of surprised he didn't sign on with Reebok after they went the extra mile to make him his own shoe. Even though the colorway is kind of outrageous, I think he could have gotten a lot of wrestling fans to buy these and everyone would have made some good money.
Hate them or love them, you have to admit that these shoes are CRAZY!!! Literally and figuratively. It's about time I got some EXCLUSIVES!!! Now I just need someone at Reebok to make me a Dj RyB custom edition shoe. I don't even care what style it is. Just give me something! I'm available for a cheap sponsorship too! HA HA!
