2009 NBA All Star Game Preview Remixed 1986 Style (WOW)

The person who created this video had entirely too much time on their hands and might be slightly crazy but I would like to thank them for making it because it is freakin' awesome!  The fact that they even thought about the idea of combining cheesy graphics and audio intros of Dick Stockton from 1986 combined with highlights of this year's All-Star players is insane and probably came about with the help of some illegal substance.  It's just too F'n random!   I love it though. This gave me some great flashbacks to the good old days of when Bird, Magic, Isiah, Kareem and MJ were all running the show in the All Star Game.  I can't believe it's been more than 20 years!!!

While we are on the topic of the NBA, I figured I would also post the video of John Tesh discussing how he came up with the NBA on NBC theme song music and then performing it live with a full orchestra.  It is one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile.  I never thought I would use the word "cool" and John Tesh in the same sentence.

This video was referenced in the most recent Sport's Guy Trade Value article.  I had no idea John Tesh wrote this song.  I officially have respect for that dude even though he is a weirdo new age artist these days.  He's making money and selling records though, so I can't hate.  This might be the catchiest and best intro song of all time, in my opinion.  Every time I heard this as a kid, I would get all fired up and sit down to watch MJ and the Bulls smash their opponent.
