Reebok Pump Omni Lite "Dee Brown" - ‘91 Dunk Contest Edition

If you are a fan of the Reebok Pump Omni Lite and also happen to be a Boston Celtics fan like myself, then I have some great news for you.  Reebok decided to continue with the Dee Brown Special Edition theme and will be releasing these joints during NBA All Star Weekend in Phoenix on February 14th.

These will only be available through Shiek's Shoes and will be limited to 360 pairs.  If you happen to live in Arizona, Dee Brown will be making an appearance at the Tempe, AZ location:

Dee Brown In-Store Appearance
February 14th, 2009
Shiekh’s Arizona Mills
5000 Arizona Mills Circle #158,
Tempe, AZ 85282

If you don't live in that area but would like to purchase a pair, then you are in luck.  The Reebok Pump Omni Lite "Dee Brown" is NOW AVAILABLE at Sheik's Online Store at Shiekhshoes.com.  There is a limit of one pair per customer.  I would get after it as soon as possible because they will not be available for long.

Best believe I already put in a purchase for my Size 13.  Yezzir!!!  I was just talking smack yesterday about not having any interest in buying any sneakers any time soon and then I go and buy these the next day.  Whoops.  I was surprised they were still available so I just had to pull the trigger.

Check out some more deets courtesy of NiceKicks.com:
"A photo of Dee Brown’s jersey (front and back) is visible on the inner side of the tongue. In addition, a picture of the Old Boston Garden is seen on the collar of the sneaker. The parquee basketball court is featured on the sockliner with the number and team of the final 4 players Dee Brown beat in the Slam Dunk Contest. The words, “Slam Dunk Champion” are written above the foul line on the parquee court. 360 pair will be available Shiekh Shoes on February 14 at NBA All Star Weekend. To kick off the release, Dee Brown will be in attendance."

That's DOPE!

I missed out on the original colorway of the Omni Lite's that dropped just a few months ago and I was kicking myself because they are one of my all time favorite basketball shoes and they also look sick as hell with some jeans and a T.  It was a super limited release so there was almost no chance I was going to be able to snag them. If I did, it would have been for an exorbitant price and I wasn't prepared to pay over standard retail.

Luckily, I had a pair of the O.G.'s back in 7th grade that I wore for basketball so I am happy that I at least had those back in the day.  I still think the original colorway below blows away the new joints but I think they will do me just fine.  I might have to hook them up with white laces for old time sake.

Reebok Pump Omni “Dee Brown”! Pictures, Images and Photos
UPDATE: I just got my Dee Brown Reebok Omni Lite pumps in the mail today (2/18/09) and I am like a very happy with the purchase.  These kicks are DOPE!!!  The inside of the shoe/tongue is what really did it for me though.  Nice touch.

Shiekh Shoes also decided to throw in two pairs of Sheikh low cut socks and a signature pen.  It doesn't sound like much but that is a nice touch and enough to gain me as a loyal customer moving forward.  It's the little things that still work in order to retain customers.  Take it back old school and treat your customer with respect and show them you appreciate their business.  I don't understand why more companies don't get that.
