Nike Air Jordan Spiz’ike “Mars Blackmon Edition” January 2010 (DOPE)

Jordan Brand has had their fair share of hits and misses with the hybrid joints that they've released over the past 2+ years but the Air Jordan Spiz'ike is by far the best and most popular of the bunch.  It is definitely one of my favorites of the "new school" Jordan designs since it is an awesome combination of almost all of my favorite Jordans.

It combines elements of six different Air Jordan's including the Jordan III (midsole), Jordan IV (Wings), Jordan V (Uppers), Jordan VI (Tongue) & Jordan IX (Pull Tab). Also every Air Jordan Spizike to release (besides the White/Varsity Red-Classic Green) has the Jordan rising sun logo at the heel which originally release on the Jordan IX, and last but not least the Jordan XX (Laser on the inside liner).

Jordan Brand has decided to offer a new colorway of the shoe called the Air Jordan Spiz’ike “Mars Blackmon Edition” which will drop in January 2010.  This edition will honor Mars Blackmon, the Spike Lee character that appeared in a ton of Air Jordan commercials from the mid 80's

The shoe features a White leather upper with touches of Black, Fire Red and Blue, as well as some original Grey Elephant print on the heel. To add some extra Spike-related touches, the kicks also sport a “Do You Know?” all-over print lining, a Mars lace lock and a Mars Blackmon illustration on the insole along with the tag line, “Fresh Since 1985″ printed below.
