Michael Vick Has a New Endorsement Deal With Nike? (POSSIBLY)

There have been multiple rumors floating around that Nike has signed Michael Vick to an endorsement contract once again. According to Vick’s agent Joel Segal, Michael Vick, “has has a great relationship with Nike and is excited to be part of the #Nike team again.“

Of course, there is also the other side of the table and Nike is saying that they do not have a "contractual relationship" with Michael Vick.  In a statement released Thursday morning, Nike says it has “agreed to supply product to Michael Vick as we do a number of athletes who are not under contract with Nike.”

Whatever there deal is, Vick is already wearing Nike cleats on the field and will continue to do so for the rest of the season.  I'm sure Nike is trying to get a feel for the public opinion before they bring him on for a full endorsement deal and potentially create a signature shoe for him again like they did from 2001 to 2007.

Below is a quick wrap up of the Nike Zoom Vick line that was available in years past.  I always thought these were super underrated and now that I am seeing them for the first time in years, I am realizing they were even better than I remembered.  The Nike Zoom Vick I-III were by far the best and were really ahead of their time in terms of design.  Nike seemed to get lazy after the first three editions and started supplying Vick with generic looking trainers that you could get in bargain bins in your local shoe store or Marshall's.  If they ever do release another signature shoe, let's hope they step up the quality again and bring it back to the sick style of the first three kicks.
