Thursday Throwbacks: Candyman - "Knockin' Boots"

"Attention all ladies! The Candyman is on the prowl.  And for those that want to get busy, you've gotssss to speak out now."

That's my shit right there!  Whatever happened to songs like this?  "Knockin' Boots" wasn't exactly a club joint because it was too slow but it wasn't really a slow jam either.  It sat nicely right in between the two. 

It's one of those songs that was perfect for house parties when you were trying to get with some chick for the first time.  Girls would go crazy when this shit came on so it made it a hell of a lot easier to grind up on them without getting slapped. I know that sounds ridiculous now but I was in 6th/7th grade when this came out so just touching a chick back then was like having sex.  You had to take advantage of all opportunities.
