Eminem Ft. Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent & Cashis, Stat Quo - "Syllables" (NEW OLD ISH)

I'm pretty sure "Syllables" is an older Eminem track that never saw the light of day even though it features heavy hitters Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent.  I'm surprised it didn't get released as an album track considering it's pretty good but sometimes that just happens without any real explanation.  You can tell it's a little older because of Eminem's rhyme style where he was still doing the stupid accents and shit.  It wasn't one of his most annoying flows but it wasn't one of his best either.  He also mentioned TRL which hasn't been on the air for years so there is no way this was made recently.

I actually liked what he was saying in his lyrics though.  He was basically asking whether people actually listen to lyrics anymore or if it's just the infectious beat or hook that they care about.  It's a valid point because of all the crap that makes it to the top of the charts these days.  Lyricism has taken a back seat to a booty shaking beat or some trendy dance or whatever.

Unfortunately, people rarely actually listen to the message so Em felt like calling them out.  I think it's a pretty dope track and it's worth a few listens at least.  It's not often you hear an unreleased track that is actually worth listening to more than once.
