Thursday Throwbacks: Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg - "Deep Cover" and Big Pun & Fat Joe "Twinz (Deep Cover '98)

I've been slacking on posting some old school videos lately but I was motivated last night when Big Pun's "Twinz (Deep Cover '98)" popped up on the iPod on my way home. My head almost exploded when I heard Pun's crazy line at the end of the first verse for the first time in years.  I totally forgot how he destroyed this track with razor sharp precision.  This has to be one of the best lines of all time because of how easily he delivered it:

"Dead in the middle of Little Italy little did we know
that we riddled some middleman who didn't do diddily"

Of course, we can't forget the original "Deep Cover" from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.  This was the first track that Snoop Doggy Dogg ever appeared on and he definitely made a big entrance onto the Hip Hop scene.  This song was one of the main reasons why Snoop was one of the most anticipated young rappers of the early 90's even before The Chronic dropped.  This is still one of my favorite Snoop and Dre tracks...
