Def Jam Rapstar - New Hip Hop Karaoke Game for XBox 360, PS3 and Wii (COOL)

Damn!  This could be sick!  It's about time someone put out a Karaoke game for the Hip Hop generation.  I'll admit, I'm sneaky on the mic with the Rock Band songs even though that's not in my wheelhouse but I get bored fairly easily.  I would much rather do some rappin' since I've memorized so many damn songs over the years from DJ'n.  Def Jam Rapstar looks like it will fill that void sooner than later.

Konami and Autumn Games have announced that 4mm Games' Def Jam Rapstar will drop on November 6. The game will be part of a bundle that includes the game and one wired microphone. It will cost $69.99 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles and $59.99 for the Wii.

The first seven songs that will be a part of the game have recently been released and include: Biz Markie's "Just a Friend"; Drake's "Best I Ever Had"; Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day"; Outkast's "So Fresh, So Clean"; Pete Rock and CL Smooth's "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)"; Redman's and Method Man's "Da Rockwilder"; and Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It."  That's definitely a decent list so far.

Def Jam Rapstar will also have a bunch of original instrumental tracks, allowing users to rap at will using the "Freestyle" mode. They have already landed two huge names with tracks from DJ Premier ("JJ's Beat") and Just Blaze ("One the One.")

Here's some more details about the game and how it will work from one of it's creators at 4 MM:
