Celtics Beat Lakers in Game 5 to Take 3-2 Series Lead (PIERCE WAS MONEY)

FINALLY!  I can't believe it took this long to see a meaningful win in the playoffs in person.  I have seen almost every single home loss during the 2010 playoffs and it was frustrating as shit.  At least they saved a little bit of energy for the fans for the last home game of the season.

I was a little scared there for awhile even when the Celtics were up by as much as 11 points.  Kobe Bryant was in one of those zones where everything he threw up was going in.  The guy was unreal.  Ray Allen played really good defense all game long but it didn't seem to matter.  Kobe couldn't be stopped.  Luckily, the rest of the Lakers were asleep and the Celtics finally learned how to close out a game with a lead.  As you can see in this clip below, Phil Jackson seemed to think the Celtics would blow the lead just like they had all season long.  What a dick!

This game was a must win for the Celtics and luckily, they pulled it off.  If they lost last night, they would have had to win two games in a row in LA to win the series.  There was just no way in hell that was happening.  Pierce took the team on his back and finally had a good shooting night that everyone has been waiting for all series long.

The C's also played some great team defense which helped keep all of the other Lakers in check.  KG, Sheed and Ray all played well but Tony Allen had the block of the night against Gasol.  He actually blocked this thing TWICE!  So sick.

The Celtics already proved they can win in L.A. when they stole Game 2 so there is no reason why they can't do it again.  I just hope they can pull it off in Game 6 because if this series makes it to Game 7, I don't think I am going to like the results. Close this shit out on Tuesday!!!
