Jay-Z & Eminem Perform On Ed Sullivan Theater Rooftop for The Late Show with David Letterman (COOL)
Originally, they wanted to perform on top of the marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater (aka the huge ass sign) but the NYPD denied them because of the recent madness where fights and riots broke out before a free Drake concert in the city. NYPD told them that they would not need a permit to perform on top of the building's roof so that's how it all happened.
A few hundred lucky fans were able to score FREE tickets through a promotion through Twitter and Facebook. That must have been unreal to see two of the best rappers of all time in such a unique and small environment. That is something they will never forget.
