2010 NCAA Slam Dunk Contest Highlights (SOLID)

Someone finally put up some highlights from the Denny's 2010 NCAA Slam Dunk Contest that took place last Thursday.  There were some really nice dunks from almost every competitor but the contest itself was a little bit of a let down. Some of the best dunkers played themselves out of the competition early so the Final Round wasn't as exciting as it could have been. A lot of the best dunks were already used up or the best dunkers didn't even make it to the Finals.

One prime example was Cal State Fullerton's Gerard Anderson.  He threw down one of the sickest baseline windmills I've ever seen but then he missed the next dunk and was done.  He tried something way more difficult than what he needed to make it to the next round.  He could have easily have won the whole thing.  Just look at this guys' hops:

A lot of these guys tried dunks that were really difficult and because of the time limit, they had to rush to their next dunk which took away from the creativity.  I think if they had just let them take their time after the first miss, we would have seen a lot more completed dunks and higher scores.  Overall, it was still a solid competition and definitely WAY BETTER than the 2010 NBA Dunk Contest. Vermont's Marqus Blakely ended up winning it all.
