Boombox Bikers in Queens, NY (IS THIS COOL?)

At first I thought this Boombox Biker thing was gonna be kind of cool and then I quickly realized it might be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I am always down for the latest way to blast music at the highest volume possible and I've always been a big advocate of obnoxious car stereo systems that make windows rattle and buildings shake but on a bicycle?  WTF?!?!  That is just ridiculous. All of those speakers are heavy as shit too!  I'm all set with that madness! 

On top of it all, these kids were blasting some terrible music.  I know that's what they listen to in Trinidad and Tobago and I'm fine with that on some level but if you are going to blast the streets of Queens, NY with a bike full of speakers, shouldn't it be some of that real Hip Hop?  Or at least make it some radio friendly music so everyone can get down with it.  No wonder people look at them weird or get pissed off.  If they were blasting some Rakim, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep or Nas to represent their hood, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be having any problems. 

You know what?  I think I've already changed my mind on this whole Bike Stereo thing while typing up this post.  The more videos I see, the more I want one (I just need a bike first!).  I think it would be kind of cool if you lived in the city and you had endless pavement to blast people with some block rockin' beats.   Just check out some of these other Boombox Biker videos below.  This shit is crazy!




BONUS:  This chick had a nice set up on the back of her bike blasting some House Music but she couldn't even hold the weight up and she almost dumped her goods face first on the pavement. Classic!
