Air Jordan XI Retro - Space Jams - Black / Varsity Royal (MUST COP)

There has been a lot of talk of the Air Jordan XI Retro release for months now but no one really knew when they would drop.  Now the official release date has been set for what is arguably the most popular and sought after Air Jordan of all time.  On November 27, 2009 the ridiculously sick "Space Jams" will be available in select retailers across the nation for $175.  Good luck getting a pair though since everyone and there mother will be fighting for a pair (or two).

November 27th is known as Black Friday in the shopping world (the day after Thanksgiving) so if you plan on buying these at your local retailer you should plan on a morning from hell.  All of the housewives and grandmothers will be getting up nice and early with you, taking up prime parking spots and ultimately just getting in your way and pissing you off.

At least all of that craziness will be worth it if you are able to score one of the most coveted sneakers of all time.  I would love to get these joints for my collection but I just don't think I can deal with all that madness.  Plus, I expect people to be camping out for about a week in advance so my chances are very limited because you know, I have a job and stuff.  Hopefully I will hit the lottery at some point in the near future so I can just overpay someone on eBay to do all of the dirty work for me.
In case you couldn't figure it out or never saw the movie, these are the shoes that Jordan rocked in the Space Jam movie.  Here are a few clips to refresh your memory.  I forgot how much I loved this movie!
I was always a bigger fan of the original white/black patent leather colorway but the Space Jams are right up there in terms of overall hotness.  I would still take them over almost any other shoe if I had that choice.  I still kick myself for not buying a pair of these when I had a chance back in 1995 during the original release.  Worst move ever!  I probably would have worn them too much by now and they would be a mess but just owning the OG's would have been worth it.  I actually remember the Air Jordan XI not selling that well for the first few weeks because most people thought they were too crazy or ugly.  They were just ahead of their time!  Damn it!  I'm an idiot.

Here's a quick look at the White colorway I just mentioned.  it doesn't get any better than this.  SICK!!!
