Nike Limited Edition Transformers Basketball Shoe Collection (DOPE)

Yessssss!!! I love it when my favorite things in life collide and mash up into something even cooler than I could ever imagine.  Let me put it to you this way:  Transformers + Nike Sneakers = PURE DOPENESS

Nike just released limited edition set of three different basketball shoes commemorating the Transformers 2 movie. This set includes the Nike Zoom Flight Club, Nike Zoom FP and Nike Sharkalaid complete with special packaging, retro graphics and some authentic Transformer color combinations.

Nike worked closely with Hasbro on this project to create the ultimate collectors set.  The shoe boxes are almost an exact replica of the OG Transformer boxes which come with original Hasbro graphics, J-hooks for hanging display and decoder profiles on the back of the boxes to highlight each robot’s powers.  As soon as I saw these boxes I instantly had a flashback to when I was 10 years old opening up one of these boxes for my birthday.  So sick!

Each of the three Nike designs will be sold separately and include special colorways featuring Megatron (Nike Zoom Flight Club), Soundwave (Nike Sharkalaid) and Bumblebee (Nike Zoom FP).  I'd have to say that the Soundwave joints are by far the best of the three.  He was always one of my favorite characters even though I never had him as a kid.  It was so sick how he transformed into the Boombox!!!  That ish always blew my mind.

I did have a few different versions of Optimus Prime in my collection though.  He was by far the best of the bunch because he turned into the big 18 wheeler with the trailer in the back where you could store other toys like G.I. Joe figures and such.  Dude had the sickest voice too.

Is it sad that I am getting this excited reminiscing about toys I played with as a kid?  Whatever.  I don't even care!  Transformers will ALWAYS be cool.  At least in my head...
