"AT&T Navigator" GPS App Now Available for iPhone (AND IT'S MAD EXPENSIVE!)

I received an email from AT&T this morning announcing their new "AT&T Navigator" App.  I thought it was interesting so I opened it up.  I already own a portable GPS but it would be great to have GPS capabilities on me at all times in case I forgot my unit at home or was driving with a friend that didn't have one (step your game up T-Money!).

I was baffled when I saw that they would be charging $9.99 a month for these services.  Are you F'n serious!?!?!  I can buy a more powerful and reliable GPS unit from Garmin for under $100 at Best Buy.  And that's a one time fee!  $10 per month is $120 per year...FOREVER!!!  WTF?!?!?  Who is going to buy this app?  This seems like the worst idea ever.

Hopefully AT&T comes to their senses...wait what am I saying?  They freakin' suck!  There is probably no chance in hell they will change this to a one time fee or something more reasonably priced.  They will probably raise the price knowing their ridiculous business practices.  Get your shit together, AT&T!  And stop pissing off your customers, especially iPhone users!  As soon as another carrier like Verizon gets the iPhone, we are all jumping ship unless you can pull it together.  At this point, no one thinks that is even remotely possible.

I will just have to wait and see if Tom Tom or Garmin comes out with a cheaper GPS app at some point in the future.  If not, I am totally fine using my nice little portable Garmin GPS unit.  It hasn't failed me yet and it doesn't try to rape me for money each month.  IDIOTS!
