Crazy Ending to Montreal vs. Toronto CFL Game (BLAME CANADA)

This CFL video has been floating around sports blogs for the past few days so I wasn't going to post it but I'm being lazy and couldn't find anything else so deal with it.  The play gets crazier with each viewing.  I knew the CFL (aka Canadian Football) was kind of crazy with their rules but this is on some other shit.

It seems crazy but this goes back to the origins of American Football which had lots of rules like this that were similar to Rugby and Gaelic Football but they were eventually phased out. for the rules that we know today.  Anyway, here is the breakdown of the rule which kind of explains WTF is going on here:

1. If a team misses a field goal, they can still score a single point, known as a “rouge” if they a) recover the ball in the end zone, or b) the ball goes out the back of the end zone at the end of the kick
2. The ball is still alive if it is touched by a member of the opposing team
3. Players can advance the ball by kicking it

That still doesn't make a ton of sense but that's the best I can do. I actually kind of like this madness going on here. It keeps everyone on their toes and always keeps the game within reach. Instead of missing a field goal, they ended up with a touchdown. Weird but interesting.

Gaelic Football is even stranger.  I saw a few games when I was in Ireland this summer and thought it was the craziest sport I've ever seen.  It's like an awesome combination of soccer, basketball, volleyball, rugby and football.  As weird as it is, I really like it.  Does anyone play this sport in the US?  I would love to try it out one day.
