DJ Dab Using Custom iPad DJ Rig w/ VDJ, TouchOSC & PureData (COOL)


Damn.  That's one crazy and expensive DJ set up.  This is exactly where digital DJ'n is going though.  This one might be extremely over the top but I could definitely see using two iPads as the main interface for a DJ set up at some point in the future.  Turntables would still be preferred if you were putting on an intense scratch routine but DJ Dab proved that two iPads can still help you get off some more than basic scratches.  Very cool. 

It's crazy how much technology has transformed the DJ game in just a few short years. I just finally got a Traktor Scratch Pro set up recently and I already feel like I'm behind!  Unreal. 

Here's the info from DJ Dab's video with all of the specs from his custom setup.  This thing is out of control:
