Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid aka The Agassi Hybrid (WOAH!!!)

 

Woah!  The Nike Air Tech Challenege Hybrid?!?!  WTF?  I have no idea how this one got past me but HOLY $HIT!  I think my head just exploded! I guess news of this new sneaker from Nike dropped all the way back in September of 2008.  Whoops.

I actually stumbled across this shoe by accident while searching for some other kicks.  After I calmed down and figured out what the hell was going on, I did a little more digging.  They were originally set to drop in Summer 2009 but you can actually buy them already at PickYourShoes.com.  I don't know if that is a pre-order or not but it is at least a sign that they are on their way to stores very soon. 

In case you didn't notice the combo of this shoe, it's a mashup of all of the Nike Air Tech Challenge performance tennis shoes which are also known as Andre Agassi's signature shoe or better yet, just straight up as "The Agassi's".  I was always a huge fan of the Air Tech Challenge I and II but I always bought basketball shoes back in the day so I never bought a pair.  Not everyone is going to be a fan of this new crazy design but many people like myself will love it because it will take you back to the good old days just like a retro pair of Jordans.   

Although the black colorway above is kind of bunk I actually like the crazy brightness of the white and yellow colorway (which also includes every other color known to man!).  There is just something so ridiculously ugly about them that it actually makes them look good, if that even makes any sense.  Basically, you have some serious balls if you where these in public but if you have any style and can pull it off with the right outfit, you are going to be pimpin' hard!

Lil Wayne Ft. Young Money - "Every Girl" Official Video (GOOD ISH!)

It looks like Lil Wayne is finally starting to promote his new crew Young Money with a new video for "Every Girl" (formerly known as "Filet Mignon").  This song has been floating out there for awhile but the official video just dropped the other day.

Young Money Entertainment is an imprint of Cash Money Records and was started by Lil Wayne back in 2003. He hasn't done a ton with the roster but he does have a lot of people signed and it looks like they are finally starting to get rollin' with some new joints.  He's even got Jae Millz on the label and in this song.  Remember that dude?  He had some hot singles like 3 or 4 years ago and then disappeared.  It's nice to see he has landed somewhere he can actually get some shine.  

This is a cool ass song and a nice little video.  It's simple but effective.  You gotta love all the fly ladies poppin' out of the Bentley like a clown car.  And the cartoon effects over the heads of everyone is classic too.  I could do without the last two verses though.  Those dudes were kind of wack.

WTF is wrong with that dude Gudda in the red jacket by the way?  He looks like a fat little midget that went to the doctor to get his legs stretched or something.  He is super uncomfortable in front of the camera too.  Dude needs an extreme Hip Hop makeover or something.

I'll be on the lookout from some new ish from Young Money though.  I think they have some potential as a crew and as their own individual parts as solo artists.  I know the album is supposed to drop at some point soon but I was not able to find a title or release date.  Typical...

Eminem - "We Made You" Official Video (AMUSING)

I'm a little torn on Eminem's new video "We Made You" from his upcoming album Relapse (set to drop May 19th).  First off, this video is funny as hell.  I thought it was a great idea to use all of the pop culture and TV references since it went along with the lyrics and theme of the song.

The problem is, the song kind of sucks.  I hate to say it because I am a huge Eminem fan but I'm just not feeling this one at all.  I think it had some serious potential since the Dre beat is decent but Em decided to go with that awful Triumph the Insult Comic Dog accent again and it's just wack.  WTF is that?  That was interesting once but why does he continue to use it in almost any song these days?  It's like an awful accent you use when you are 8 years old and have no idea how to mimic a foreign accent.  It just sounds dumb and lazy.  I can't even follow what he is saying because his voice is just pissing me off the whole time.

I don't know.  Maybe this will grow on me with a few more listens but I am not a feelin' this one right now.  What do you think?  Am I being overly critical of this track?

"Like a Boss" - SNL's Andy Samberg ft. Seth Rogen (DISTURBINGLY AWESOME)

Woah!  I guess nerdy white guy rap is officially a new sub genre of Hip Hop because here is another corny yet excessively entertaining video from SNL's Andy Samberg ft. Seth Rogen called "Like a Boss".   This is definitely a play on Slim Thug and Rick Ross' excessive usage of the term LIKE A BAWWWWSE!!! in their songs and ad libs.

I didn't even know about this video until a few minutes ago.  Some dude at work just sent a somewhat incoherent email stating "Met a big fish and F***d his brains out".  I was so F'n confused and disturbed by his thoughts that I had to ask WTF he was talking about.  It turns out it was a quote from the "Like a Boss" video that played on SNL a few weekends ago. 

I'm slackin' on my pimpin' because I should have been up on this video sooner!  Even though it is super random and slightly disturbing, it should definitely give you a few chuckles, especially if you've ever worked in an office environment.  Funny Ish!

"White People Problems" - A Corny Rap Song (Semi-Amusing)

What better way is there to start the week off than with a rap about "White People Problems"?  I thought this was going to be wack as shit but it was actually kind of funny.  Even the rapping was somewhat respectable and almost on beat. You gotta love when you have super low expectations for a video and they go above and beyond and make you laugh once or twice.  Not bad!

Random iPod Track of the Week - Warren G "Regulate" (YUP!)

REGULATORS!!!  Mount up!

Those three words right there still get me fired up every time I hear "Regulate" come on the stereo or my iPod.  It has to be one of the smoothest Hip Hop tracks of all time.  You can play this song anywhere and someone is going to recognize it and sing along.  I still know every damn word to this song and I am not afraid to sing the Nate Dogg verse.  My rendition is ill!  Ha Ha.  

It's gotta be that sample from Michael McDonald's "I Keep Forgettin'" that gets the older white people fired up.  That is one of the funkiest and smoothest bass lines of all time.  And honestly, who doesn't love them some Michael McDonald?  He might be the funkiest white dude on the planet still to this day.  Peep the sample below.  DOPE!!!

Jesus PWN3D U! (HILARIOUS)

Someone getting PWNED is always funny but when it's Jesus himself that's working you over, that is just hysterical.  I love both the concept and the execution of this video.  Freakin' AWESOME!!!

The best scene had to be when Jesus came in when the kid was playing soccer and you expected him to block the kick but instead he fell to the ground like he got shot and held his leg even though there was no contact.  Then the ref comes out and drops the red card.  HA HA!!!  Any time you can work in a soccer pu$$y joke to an already hilarious sketch, you've done your job for the day.  This is by far my favorite video from the past few weeks.  So good!
