Kanye's definitely on some artsy shit lately but I like where he's going.  This new "Runaway" video/movie looks like it's going to be pretty damn good.  He is on such a different level from everyone else in the Hip Hop game right now.  What he's doing seems strange to most people at that time but when you look back a few years, you realize he was always on that new shit first.  He is setting trends and getting people to think differently which no one else ever does in this genre.

People are just followers and never do or say something different because they are afraid of what the masses will say.  Kanye just doesn't give a fuck anymore and it's allowed him to free his mind and just create dope shit no matter what people say.  You've gotta respect him for that even if you don't like him as an artist or a person.  He does and says some douchey things but if you can get past that, you'll realize he is one of the most influential artists in music right now.  Yes, I said music; not just Hip Hop.  That's how huge his influence is these days. 

A lot of people will always want their favorite artist to make a new version of their old shit but they never want to them to grow or change artistically which is dumb.  Everyone gets older and matures in different ways so you can't think that it won't be reflected in their music.  I'm always looking for something different and new so it's even better when one of my favorite artists is willing to go there for me.
