Bo Jackson's Nike Air Trainer SC II To Be Released As A Retro? (AWESOME)

This is kind of crazy.  I've been thinking about doing a post about the Nike Air Trainer SC II for the past couple of weeks.  After seeing Bo Jackson in the new Nike Boom commercial and also seeing the success of other Bo Jackson related sneakers, I wondered why we hadn't seen a retro of what was possibly the best old school cross trainer of them all.  I guess Nike was reading my mind because it sounds like it is finally coming back at some point in the near future.  No release date has been set but you better believe that I will be copping multiple pairs of these kicks once they drop.

I always loved this shoe but never owned a pair so I had to admire it from a distance.  It was popular when I was in 6th grade so it was up to my parents what shoes I could buy since I obviously had no money of my own.  I needed basketball sneakers much more than I needed cross trainers so there was no chance I was going to be able to score a pair.  There was a set of twins in my school that I was friends with that wore the Air Trainer SC II all year long and it made me really jealous.  One wore the pinkish red colorway above, while the other rocked a royal blue colorway which is one of the more under the radar colorways of this shoe but certainly one of the best.

Hopefully they release the blue color along with the red and green that has been rumored to release.  Either way, I'm buying whatever colors are available.  These are too good to pass up.  Nike and Jordan Brand have been killing me lately because they keep releasing classics all around the same time which is destroying my wallet.  It's definitely a love/hate thing...

Here's the classic "Bo Knows" commercial that promoted the release of the Nike Air Trainer SC II.
