'The Green Hornet' Trailer (COULD THIS ACTUALLY BE DECENT?)

I have no idea what to think about this new version of The Green Hornet starring Seth Rogen.  Based on this trailer, I think it could actually be pretty good which surprises the hell out of me.  I guess I was skeptical because Rogen is kind of a nerdy slob and I didn't think I could take him seriously as a super hero but for some reason it seems like it might work. 

I heard he dropped a ton of weight and got in decent shape for the role so I give him props for that.  Otherwise, it just wouldn't be reasonable to see him running around fighting crime if he was in Knocked Up shape. 

He's been solid in every other movie he's starred in so I have to imagine this will be decent too.  I think he had a lot of creative control so it could actually be way funnier than expected.  Who freakin' knows.  

The Green Hornet will be in theaters January 14, 2011.  I can't believe they already have the trailer floating around.  WTF.

I have to imagine the Iced phenomenom is going to be out of control during this 4th of July holiday weekend so be prepared. Douchebags will be out in full force and gathering in large numbers so it will be almost impossible to avoid this nonsense.  You are pretty much going to be forced to react so come strapped with a few Smirnoff Ice's in your back pocket, backpack or cooler so you can block those clowns and make them suck it.  It's your only real defense. 

Although, according to Daniel Tosh, you might have another option.  I could see myself doing something similar if someone tries to pull this shit on me.  Luckily I will be in Ireland on vacation for the next week where they only serve Guinness and Irish Whiskey...

Wow!  I think I've completely changed my mind about 'Jersey Shore' Season 2 after seeing this trailer.  I was starting to get sick of seeing these clowns everywhere but now that they are all back together up to their old shenanigans, I think I am officially back in.  This is one of the craziest previews I've ever seen.  It has drama, sex, violence and profanity.  What more could you want?!?!  This looks unreal!  I can't wait for this shit.

Jersey Shore: Season 2 in Miami (or whatever the F*** it's called) premieres July 29th at 10 PM.  Get your popcorn ready!

This is the official video for DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win (Remix)" featuring Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Swizz Beatz & T-Pain. That's a shit load of guest appearances right there. Good lord!

This video is kind of late considering the album was released back in March but I assume it was a little tough to get like 45 artists in the same place at the same time.  I've always said Khaled is annoying as shit but he makes some good music and always gets solid guest appearances on his albums.  I can't hate too much because I still buy his shit. Just stop talking and yelling so much!  Your voice sucks.

By the way, did Khaled get fatter or did Fat Joe get slimmer?  I can't really tell but they are basically the same size now.  They are both running neck and neck (even though neither has one) with Rick Ross for fattest dude in Hip Hop.  Good luck with that one, fellas.  I'm not sure that's the Hip Hop crown you were looking to achieve when you got into the Rap game.  Try some fruits and vegetables once in awhile...

Thursday Throwbacks: Father MC - "I'll Do 4 U" & "Treat Em Like They Want To Be Treated"

My boy D.C. sent me a text the other night after he randomly heard Father MC on the radio.  I got all fired up because that was my shit back in 7th grade and it brought back some great memories. His album Father's Day was one of the first Rap/Hip Hop albums I was allowed to buy and I had that tape on repeat so much that it started to get the wobble sound from so much play. 

"I'll Do 4 U" was the his first hit and the reason why I started listening to his music but his follow up "Treat Em Like They Want To Be Treated" is probably my favorite.  Not only was it a dope ass song but it basically epitomizes the New Jack Swing sound of the early 90's. It also introduced the world to Jodeci and P. Diddy aka Sean "Puffy" Combs who is a backup dancer in the video. 

Both of these songs have me really motivated right now to put together another Old School mix using Hip Hop and R&B from the 90's.  I need to get on that shit ASAP!

New Old Spice Commercial - "Questions" (STILL FUNNY)

Just when I thought this concept was getting played out, Old Spice comes correct with another classic "I'm on a horse" style commercial.  If they continue to be creative and keep it fresh, this campaign could be around for a long time.  I can't get enough of it. Good ish.
